Show more...Everything was absolutely perfect and better than we could have ever imagined or hoped for. Kate and the rest of the team went above and beyond for us and all our guests, it was truly the absolutely best day and would not have been possible without the fantastic team at Bathen House. Their attention to detail throughout our stay was impeccable and truly made us feel so comfortable and relaxed about all the arrangements. The food was absolutely incredible and all our guests commented on how delicious everything was. We wouldn’t change a single thing. Thank you to everyone at Bathen House for helping to make our day so special.
Show more...A lovely stay with friends. Easy parking right outside, all the staff were friendly and our room was immaculate. Stunning bathroom and everything you could need or want for an over night stay. Carpets need to be updated but that is my only criticism.
Show more...A lovely hotel. We booked in for 2 nights and it’s a beautiful place to stay. Room was perfect. Very large with a huge bathroom, all very clean. The decor is classy and traditional which we really preferred. Add some personality. Breakfast we great in a large bright room, well cooked and served perfectly. Plenty of parking and less than 10 minutes into Bath centre. Would definitely recommend.
Show more...Easy enough to find and easy enough to par (parked at back). Nice chap came out to help with bags although we didn’t need it but very nice to offer (so CCTV works !). Check-in easy – same really nice and helpful chap. Room 3 just along from reception on ground floor. Large bedroom, no wardrobe just a small hanging rack on the wall (but if staying for 1 or 2 nights it’s not an issue) but plenty of storage space anyway. A coat/robe hook would help though so you have somewhere to hang a coat especially if it’s wet. Large window to front of property with chairs. Then door with large glass panel through to large (very large) bathroom with very good shower. Another window to front of property. Small but comfortable lounge with honesty bar just back and before reception and opposite entrance to restaurant. Very nice. Getting into Bath itself is either taxi, walk (maybe 30 mins) or bus. There is a bus stop just outside but we found the running irregular and roughly 1 per hour or even more than an hour. We walked in which is easy and don’t remember being passed by a suitable bus. We also walked back. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Good food & well presented. Not cheap by any means but nice. The young man serving was truly EXCELLENT and a credit to the hotel and his parents. Sleep…………ooooooh, a surprise was in store. The hotel is lit up at the front at night and they don’t switch off. They will shine into your room. The bedroom has decent curtains but the bathroom doesn’t have anything (obviously) and the adjoining door has the large glass panel. It is a massive oversight. The outside ‘flood’ lights shine in. I had to get up and ask the really nice Polish lady on reception to switch them off. But she didn’t know how or where the switch was. After 10 minutes or so texting the owner she located the switch and they were off and the room as it should be. Putting a simple blind over the bathroom door would sort this problem at minimal cost. It has to be said that this Polish lady (really sorry that I don’t know her name) was BRILLIANT !!!! Breakfast also excellent and served by the same excellent young man. All in all a very nice hotel & restaurant, expensive, but I would still recommend it.
Show more...We've stayed in this boutique hotel before, it's a bit out of town but there is plenty of parking for guests and the rooms we've stayed in are very nice. This stay was even more special, which we'll put down to the excellent service from Olav (the Polish gentleman with the pony tail - apologies if I've spelt your name wrong!). Olav and another lady looked after us really well as we dined at the hotel on the night of our stay, this too is highly recommended. Olav was also there to look after our breakfast requests, he did everything with a smile and was a real pleasure to deal with, thanks Olav! When we're back in Bath, we'll be sure to return, hoping to experience Olav's excellent and welcoming customer service again.
Show more...Perfect stay here. Lovely hotel who are so accommodating especially Francesca & a lovely lady who locked up the bar & bought us a few treats (sorry I didn’t get your name!) But everybody was so friendly. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Bath. The only negative and it’s not really a negative was you cannot leave your car there on the day of checkout which I understand, but there is a park-and-ride literally a minute up the road if you wanted to go into Bath on your last day.
Show more...A beautiful gem hotel. The staff were exceptional in particular Kate. Very friendly and helpful which made our stay very enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious. Great fresh food and quality ingredients. Thank you for making the birthday celebrations a memorable one.
Show more...This was a beautiful, well kept hotel with a very relaxed feel about it. The rooms were well presented and of a good size. The staff, in particular the receptionist, were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel car park and 15 minutes walk into the centre make it ideal to explore the city on foot.
Show more...Outstanding! From the minute of arrival we were welcomed The ambience is Devine and the rooms are to die for. The little additions the choice of teas and coffees the beautiful bags of snacks I honestly cannot fault this hotel and staff. The food was Devine for dinner and breakfast. I salute you and thank you - each and every one of you made us feel so special. Was 40 minute walk to city but you could Uber or bus very easy I could write so much and I’d be happy to answer any questions but this was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed and I go away every 3-4 months

Bathen House was the perfect wedding venue for us as our wedding was on the small to medium side (roughly 40 guests) and I cannot fault a single thing. The level of service and attention to detail from all staff on the day was exceptional but I would like to give a special thank you to Kate who worked closely with us in the months leading up to our wedding to make sure everything was organised and ran flawlessly. Her attention to detail, fun and friendly attitude & professionalism on the day to ensure all guests were taken care of and that everything ran flawlessly really put us at ease both in the build up and on the day itself. Both Kate and Joe (Head Chef) helped us adapt our menu where required and everyone commented just how incredible the food was. The same can also be said for the breakfast which the hotel provide as it was amazing. As many of our guests had to travel from other counties (Hampshire, Surrey, Essex) we were able to coordinate a two night stay at Bathen House for roughly half our wedding party who having spoken to after would all recommend the hotel and look to stay there again for a return trip to Bath as it was perfect. Our other guests stayed in different hotels around Bath but taxis were easily available to get to where people needed to be. Bathen House will deliver you an incredible wedding party and make the day special for not only the bride and groom but everyone who attends. All staff were so friendly it really makes a difference and I cannot recommend it enough. My wife and I cannot wait to return to Bathen House and stay in a hotel which will always be special to us - thanks to the staff and service we received.
