We went there with “Tour” group. The Manager with the leopard mask ( we think was a manger) she is the one who greeted us in a very unfriendly way and told us that since we were all with the group ( which was 14) we all had to go to the end. There was nobody else doing tastings! There were 3 open stations and we asked if we could split and she said “no” it’s not what you say it’s how you say it. Matt, bless him was nice but she put such a sour taste in our mouth we were in a bad mood. People in our group had been there the day before and said how they got 4 tastings and also for free but we were only allowed 2???
We actually liked the wine but because she was so rude and made us feel like SHE didn’t want us there we didn’t purchase anything and we purchased at all the other places. I will never to back and hope she was just having a bad day unless she needs to go to a customer service class! People are there to purchase and enjoy! We recommended that the touring company remove this part of the tour and spend more time at any other one! The rest were friendly

Great experience. Very simple winery but very good wine. Sampled several wines (recommend the frozen peach or sangria and the black and blue is a cant miss) and had great service by Katey. Would strongly recommend visiting if you’re in the area.

My sister and I dropped in on a whim when we were exploring near our campground. Becca was at the tasting bar and was exceedingly pleasant and knowledgeable. She made the visit a joy. We did the free tasting of four dry wines and each bought 3 bottles.

The gift shop was fun and worth browsing.

One young male employee was incorrectly masked (covered mouth but not covering nose so of limited efficacy) although the others in the store were correctly masked. When I commented about it to him, he pleasantly responded that he needed to breathe. (Others don’t?)

We did not think we liked wine when we went in, but we are sure we do now. Great variety. Katey was a great teacher of good things. She made the choices for us based on what we told her and we are now fans of Katey and the Hillsdie Winery. And we loved all of the cute items they had in the store. Decent prices Love this cute place!

We drove down from Illinois and found the winery by driving by and decided to stop. Katey was the one who greeted us as soon as we walked in. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on the wines and we enjoyed just talking with her. She even talked us into buying 3 bottles of their wine, hahashe also let us know about the wine tour which we took full advantage of. Would definitely go back! Thank you Katey for making our trip enjoyable!!

This winery has lots of delicious wine options and they also have hard cider. My husband and I really enjoyed the FREE 4 wine tasting and 1 cider. We ended up buying a bottle, a glass of wine, and a slushie which we enjoyed on the terrace beside the winery. The only complant we have is that they seemed very short staffed. Catherine was our bartender and she was great. She was really hustling though because it got very busy after we came in. We would have given this place 5 stars if it didn't take so long to get our tastings. Again this is not the employees' fault. They should have had more staffing.

Renee was awesome & informative on the different wines. This was my favorite stop on the wine trail and the wines are so tasty. I ended up buying the Poinsettia wine which is their Christmas wine and I can’t wait to open it when I get home!

I am a Realtor who is local to Sevierville and wanted to purchase a bottle of wine as part of a "Welcome Home" gift for out of state clients who bought their mountain dream home without ever seeing it in person. I wanted to welcome them with a few unique items from around our area. To be honest, I am not much of a wine drinker and know very little about it, so I stopped at the winery that was most convenient to where I was and I am so happy that I did!

When I went into the tasting room, I was greeted by a staff member named Katelyn. She was very approachable, had a genuine smile and was quite receptive when I told her that I was a wine novice and explained what I was trying to do. She was so sweet and pleasant and really took her time telling me about all the different wines - which was the best seller, which were sweeter than others, where the grapes and other fruits were sourced from, etc. I ended up choosing a bottle of "Black and Blue" (blackberry and blueberry) and look forward to hearing from my clients after they've enjoyed it.

Finding people with amazing customer skills has become a real challenge in our area, but Hillside Winery seems to have struck gold with Katelyn. As I mentioned, I am not much of a wine drinker myself, but I can assure you that I will direct anyone I can to go and see Katelyn at Hillside and I will certainly be back for more bottles of "Welcome Home WIne" for my clients.

Thanks so much for being awesome, Katelyn! I'll see you again soon!

My husband and I just visited this winery (twice) this week, while on vacation. It was amazing! We highly recommend their Black and Blue wine, so delicious! Becca helped us on our second trip in. We did a wine tasting (4 wines for free) and were told you can try the entire menu for $5! We bought 5 bottles and cannot wait to go back when we are in town again! Might I add that we are from NC wine country and this is by far our favorite winery to date!

We saw this winery on the side of the road on the way to Dollywood and, because the weather was awful, we decided to swing by. Immediately, Sara welcomed us and took us to the tasting bar. With the whole Covid pandemic going on, Sara and the rest of the staff at Hillside Winery, made us feel safe with their protective measures. The wine itself was so good and really played to the Tennessee local wines. My group and I really enjoyed this little gem and appreciate Sara and all of the Hillside Winery staff for being so accommodating. Thank you!
