Our family of 5 (age range 48 to 7 years old) had the best 2 hours of our trip zip lining! Robbie and Justin explained everything thoroughly. They made sure we felt safe and taught the kids how to do “tricks” on some of the lines. Their kids weren’t bad either 😉! We want to recommend this adventure with more than 5 stars!

I did the ziplining with my two kids, ages 7 / 8 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it! After trying another zipline facility later in the week we all agreed that Foxfire was far superior! The key difference being you had dedicated guides for each jump (ours were Sy and Tiffany and they were goth excellent) and the zip lines were also much, much longer compared to the other one (plus we got to cross a waterfall!). Since my daughter was a little nervous for the longer lines, Tiffany did a combo ride with her and helped build her confidence. This zipline was more expensive than many others you'll find but I would definitely sign up with them again and pay the extra money for the better overall experience. We were grouped with another family (group of 5) so there were 8 total and we never had to wait at any of the zip lines. We also did the small hike to the waterfall (this was included since we purchased the zip line activity) and that was a great starter hike for my kids that were not too enthusiastic to hike! We even saw a snake off the path!

Our day at Foxfire was an absolute highlight of our trip to the Great Smoky Mountains. My husband and I took our 4 daughters ages: 10, 12, 12, and 13 on the first week of May this year. It was not our first time ziplining but was our first experience this high up with guides. We did the Waterfall Canopy tour and our guides were Blue and Josh. The day began a little nerve-wracking because of heavy thunderstorms and flooding that morning. Since the weather was a factor, we were hesitant to begin our tour with the possibility of lightening in the area. The guides there were very weather savvy and watched the weather intently before we set off. They told us they would get an alert if there was lightening within a 5 mile radius and that there were ways to exit the course if weather should become unsafe. It was not an issue though, as we were blessed with clear skies for the rest of the tour. The views were absolutely amazing and the guys were so much fun. They kept the jokes coming to calm any nerves and were very patient and meticulous to ensure our safety at all times. We are an adventurous family, but still there were heights and lines that needed a good deal of courage to muster. They guided us safely through the tour while also teaching us some tips and tricks, like going backwards and upside down. It was such a confidence building experience for my girls (and myself!) I highly recommend heading out to Foxfire for an unforgettable family adventure!!

This was a great tour. Blue and Mitch were our guides. They were funny and made the adventure for those of us with fear of heights feel more comfortable. My oldest daughter, who doesn’t like looking off the sides of a bridge as you are passing over, was hanging upside down with her arms outstretched by the last freestyle zip line. I would highly recommend this tour to all.
Blue took the time after to give us recommendations for hiking, he directed us to Charlie’s Bunion instead of Alum Cave, my daughter and I are grateful as it was an easier hike with less people and I could still barely walk after sitting in car on way back to cabin so I could not imagine what it would have been like for amateur hikes on the Alum Cave trail.
BTW. If you see someone zipping over the parking lot that looks like they are passed out, DO NOT FREAKOUT! That just happens to be one of the poses they suggest coming in for your photo shoot.

We are a family of 4, kids aged 9 and 11 and late 40's mom and dad. This was our first time zip lining and what a wonderful experience! I visited Foxfire Mountain a few years ago but the kids were too small at the time to zip. I remember it being a special place and I'm so happy I chose it for my zip lining experience. Tenisha was an excellent guide. She's friendly and made us feel at ease. We had so much fun and always felt safe. They start you off slow with a few small practice lines then off to the longer and faster runs. After our zip we stuck around and did a quick hike to the waterfall. It's such a pretty property I would really suggest you take advantage of everything they have to offer. Fantastic day!

We were looking for a zipline experience that could include our 9 year old granddaughter, but still be fun for the whole family. We chose the Canopy tour at Foxfire and were pleasantly surprised! There were a series of shorter ziplines followed by two longer runs at the end. The entire experience covers a large area in the woods (don't be deceived by the illustration in the brochure). We really liked our guides Tim and Robbie. They did a great job informing everyone on the process, talking with us throughout the tour and even going out on the line when necessary when a couple of our kids came up short! I was most pleased with how safely they managed the tour. We were always attached to either the trees or the zipline and at no time felt in danger. Excellent choice for a great outing with family!

I'll start by saying, Craig and Mitch were wonderful, funny, and kept it interesting. This review does not reflect them in any way, they deserve 5 stars. However, we zipline often. We are always looking for higher and faster, so when we booked this we expected to top our last zipline experience based off the information provided on the website. I will say, the views were mediocre at best compared to other lines we've done. As for being fast, our daughter has been ziplining since she was 6, she is now 12 and well over the 100lbs minimum. She has always made it from end to end on these, she didn't make it on any of the big lines. My husband who is every bit of 220 lbs also didn't make it meaning they weren't going fast enough to make it across. However, the price point is right on point with some of the faster lines we've done in Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. I paid for the picture package when I booked it, most of the pictures were blurry of us individually and definitely not worth the price. We would have been better off to take some cell phone photos afterwards. Did we enjoy it, sure would we do it again, definitely not. There are better options available. We didn't get the opportunity to do any of the "extra" stuff available because the park was closed after our zipline ended so I can't comment on any of that.

This was our first zip lining experience and we absolutely loved it. Our family of four included a 12 and 9 year old and this was a highlight of our vacation for the whole family. Tim and Katelyn made us feel safe and entertained us at the same time. We did the 7 run waterfall package and it was beautiful and exhilarating. A professional photographer captured some great shots of each of us on our final run (for purchase, very affordable). Afterward, we enjoyed cider tasting and exploring the enchanting grounds. Definitely recommend including a stop to Firefox while visiting the Smokey’s!

This was our third zipline company to ride with. The Goliath line is a true adrenaline rush and one those who enjoy zipping should ride. Tim and Mitch were amazing guides. Each line was met with bad jokes, new tricks, and funny stories. Two of the lines they encouraged riders to try different poses to make the ride a little more challenging and fun. Overall, we had an amazing time.

We did the Goliath and it was a great zip line. It was 5 zips in total, the third had the best view. We went in early January at 9am and it was very very cold. Our instructors were Justin and Tim. Justin was AMAZING, we all definitely nominate him for employee of the month. However, our experience with Tim was not great (further details in my “essay” below, haha).
Show more...During our run through the course two of our group members did not make it all the way down the zip, partially due to bad form in the cannon ball but also just physics was not on our side. Tim was receiving us on the other end of the Zip on the first two towers (they switched after our incident on the second tower). During that second tower, the first group member who didn’t make it over was told by Tim to grab hold of the Zipline during the first few seconds where she came to a complete stop. She did not hear/understand him because that was not an instruction given to us during the orientation. She did not react in time and thus rolled back towards the middle of the zip and Tim had to go get her. Once he got to her in the middle of the Zip, he made upset and annoyed faces the entire way down and made a rude comment once they were back on the platform. Something along the lines of, it is easier for you to keep your legs up then for me to have to go get you. I don’t think that the comment was necessary.
The second member of our group that did not make it was again told by Tim to grab hold of the Zip line in order to not roll all the way back. Since we, on the sidelines, had already seen the experience the first member had we tried to yell out the instructions so that it could be heard and understood. She also did not understand in time, but once she did, she tried to react. At that moment she injured her finger due to the trolley rolling back.
At that point, Justin and Tim switched spots so that Justin received us instead and he did a fantastic job being attentive if someone was not going to make it through all the way and react in time to grab/catch them before they rolled away. Tim was better, attitude wise later in the session.
Although I do understand it is labor intensive to have to go get the person halfway down the line, I don’t believe that it should be instructed on the spot to grab hold of the zip line. If it is something that is expected of the client, it should be something that is instructed during the orientation and gloves should be given as part of the equipment available. Better first aid items should be available for potential injuries as well.
