The fair is filled with scammers. Extremely rude customer service. I paid them £20, for a £12 bundle and they said they would give me the change later with the refundable deposit. She insisted that we come back later. When we came back she only gave the refundable fee and kept the £5 for herself. She started lying saying she doesn’t know what she said and we spoke to the manager who was also part of the scam and started being rude saying it was our fault. Absolute disgrace. They have not only robbed me but robbed other vulnerable people.

Our first visit to Cannon Hill Park yesterday - official toilets were padlocked and someone had scrawled in felt tip pen on a board ‘use toilets at Mac Centre’. We were refused entry to the toilets and when I asked where the nearest ones were, she suggested finding a Costa Coffee place (not knowing the area, this was unlikely). After asking a couple of people in the park, they suggested the cafe. So upon finding the cafe (I had done my 10,000 steps by now) there was a notice in their window ‘Toilets not in use’. Instead of having a lovely day out, spent most of the time looking for a toilet and crossing my legs! Opinion of the park - lake was drained and smelt a bit, green grass and a play area for the kids (in my opinion too small considering the size of the park - Sandwell Valley far better). Maybe Cannon Hill don’t want to open the toilets, they could designate a bush. Won’t be going back there again.

This was a favourite spot for me when I lived in Birmingham. BUT, beware. There is now a charge for parking and my experience was negative. If you have change (minimum charge is £2.80 for up to 4 hours), great. If not, the automated phone option doesn't pick up the vehicle registration correctly, and I don't choose to shout my card details in public. The Ring Go app is a ringing RIP OFF, as they offer options (reminders, proof of purchase), without mentioning there is a charge for it. I ended up paying 60p extra, without knowing why.
Lastly the cafe served up a stale, cold croissant and blamed me for not being specific when I ordered it.
Cannon Hill Park - I still love you. But won't be rushing back to the cafe.

Went with my daughter, her fifth visit and my umpteenth.
Never disappointed, the animals appear to be well looked after.
The animals were largely inside as it wasn’t particularly friendly weather; however, they gave us some wonderful views as you can see in the pictures I took!
Staff were largely friendly and polite but not sure of the level of knowledge some of them possessed.
However this will never stop me from visiting this lovely little gem for the rest of my life and my daughter will always return as well! 😀

Plenty of space for children and adults to walk and cycle. Small playground for younger ones. Toilets and shop in Arts Centre although goods are expensive. Funfair, crazy golf and boating lake are closed in the winter months. Nature Centre is open all year and very good value for money

The park is beautiful but the only recent investments I've seen in the park are ones that cost money. There are less available toilets,
Broken and missing fences that limit pedestrian access, the playgrounds are very tired and missing things (zip wire, tyre swing). For such a big and award winning park that you now have to pay to park at it would be nice that some money was invested in the free stuff to help some of the local less affluent residents. Credit to the horticultural staff, the plants are stunning.

Visited many times to get exercise and food / drink. The park is excellent and well kept. The cafe in the grounds does good cooked breakfasts at the weekends. The cafe inside the MAC centre also good. Not keen on the bar in the MAC centre though - flimsy plastic beakers for the beer and limited choice of draft beer available. MAC cafe good for a reunion if you are meeting-up with someone of limited agility as two areas of Blue Badge parking close to it.

Ghetto park.. large groups, cannabis being smoked the smell was everywhere. Very busy bank holiday monday. No toilets. Loud music, barbecues even though there were signs saying no barbecues allowed. No security. Electric scooter knocked down my grandchild. Will not be returning and advice any family to find alternative park to take the children.

I absolutely love this place it reminds so much of the local park I used to go often as a child in Cheshire. The park itself is big with lots of room for walking, jogging, yoga, dog walking, roller skating etc. Cannon Hill park is really clean beautiful trees and big ponds with Swans and all manner of other birds there! I have enjoyed many a happy hour walking miles around the place it is a really enjoyable place to be and there is also a café to grab a drink. All in all I would highly recommend.

A nice, manicured park with some nice lakes and a kid's play area. Lots of cute squirrels to look at and beautiful flowers, and plenty of ducks and geese to feed (would be nice if you could buy duck food there). Great when the MAC is open and you can get a cuppa. Ideal if you're learning to rollerskate due to the flat paths. The only downside especially during lockdown was locking all the toilets. This isn't helpful for people with disabilities that mean they need quick access to a toilet, and is very inconsiderate of people's needs.
