Booked the early bird tickets thinking these would be best value so was then annoyed to see an offer of a free child ticket on Facebook for the half term week I booked as well as tickets being available on Facebook. Also pre-paid parking and nobody at cat parking actually checked our car parking tickets and seen other people saying they didn't pay for parking, should just be free/inuded in ticket as its really the only way to get to the venue.
As others have said, it's a 15min walk to get in from the car park so considering it's a 3hr slot you've lost half an hr straight away walking there and back.
Stunning venue and the dinosaur exhibits are fantastic. A lot of them move and make noises, my 4yr old thought they were real. The ride on dinosaur was fun and the walk around costume dino was fabulous but could have done with more frequency on that. The create a dinosaur 3d tent was brilliant, the other 2 a bit boring.
Food is massively over priced, best to take your own. There's also not nearly enough seating, approx 10 picnic tables.
I assumed when I booked and paid for the event the advertised fun fair was included in the price but its not and you can't avoid it as have to walk through it to exit. Would be better to pay slightly more for tickets and have this included or have optional addition fun fair wristband option. Other extras also very expensive, ie; face painting was £6
Lots of toilets but tiny, very difficult to fit in a cubicle with your young children who can't be left alone.
3hrs is quite tight, especially if you are stopping for lunch.
One word “Awful!” Took my 6yr old son here and his 7yr old sister to celebrate his birthday yesterday. The videos that were advertised made it look equivalent to Jurassic Park. Talk about false advertising. The models were ok, but a lot of them were quite worn. The interactive experience was dire, with my 6 yr old saying “this is silly.” I paid out a lot of money for a special 3 hours. I would be telling anyone to save their money and book elsewhere. I spoke to a lot of staff working there and explained how I felt. Apparently, most visitors say the same as me. What made it even worse, is that they combined Halloween, pirates and fake flowers with the ‘display’ so it was completely tacky and confusing for the kids. The walk around dinosaur (a man dressed up in a suit) showed a man inside by the open inside legs and my son stated this out loud. A truly shocking experience which left me sad that my son’s birthday treat hadn’t been what was advertised!!!
Show more...I bought my tickets for this in July with the early bird rate and I still feel like that price was too expensive!! The dinosaurs were good but once my 7 year old had seen 1 he got bored of the rest! There was nothing for the children to interact with, scanning on the app didn't work because mobile signal in that area was awful. No idea where the hidden eggs were (supposedly part of the app!!). The visit was a surprise for my 7 year old and needless to say he was disappointed. We took our own food but there were no facilities to eat it (October isn't exactly picnic blanket season!!) I think I saw 3 picnic benches in total!! Once my son saw the fun fair he wasn't much interested in anything else but when we'd spent enough on tickets to get in we really didn't want to fork out more!! Def will not be recommending to others.
Show more...Well where do I start I totally wouldn't reccomend this over priced for what it is , the dinosaurs take 30 mins max to look at and there all placed in a little wooded area. Once you leave the wooded area it's all bout making more money off you for food drink and rides. The interactive tents were really pointless and jus a filler. Car park was 20 mins walk away and overall a huge waste of money and very expensive. Save your money and go somewhere better.
Show more...Arrived at booked time to be told they were closed. Travelled an hr and a half with my sons to a 'relaxed session' which was the only reason I booked because they cannot cope with large crowds due to their needs. I wasnt the only family to arrive to the disappointing news.
No explanation given to why they closed, no pre warning and no contact recieved from them to say they had decided to close and not open for the 4 til 7pm session that I had booked. The eventbrite app still said they were open, emails 2 days before said they were open and sent me a reminder about my tickets. Tickets still state 4 til 7pm. When i arrived i showed my tickets which still said open now!
When i contacted dino kingdom after, they would not give me a reason why they closed suddenly or why they didnt update their information on the eventbrite app or social media. They said they emailed me a few hrs before .. I recieved no emails. Still waiting for a confirmation of my refund.
Parking attendant let it slip that they closed because they didnt have many people attending. It was a relaxed session we had booked, limited capacity for those with additional needs so of course there wasnt going to be full capacity. I booked these tickets in July. Surely dino kingdom knew days before how many people would have been attending yesterday.
I checked the app, social media and my emails several times before we began our drive there and not once did i receive a message to say they had decided to close.
Dino kingdom you have no understanding of what impact this has on those with hidden disabilities and this was made very clear when i raised this to you and you had no response to give to this.
Dino Kingdom clearly aren't disability friendly and i wont book with them again. Trust has been lost, 3 hrs of our day lost from pointless travelling there and back and 2 very upset children who had been.
Been ifnored via the only way i can contact them Email. No phone number to call. Emails now being ignored. No confirmation of my refund or no apology or explanation for cancelling the only 1 of 2 relaxed sessions they were holding.
Wont be recommending your shows or booking again.
The videos advertising this event were not in any way representative of this budget, jaded, event. What a total rip off for over £60 for a family of 4 (with early bird discount), never mind the parking debacle or overpriced foodstalls, fun fair and side stalls.
Nestled in the dinosaurs was a random enchanted tree, bee, dragon, spider.
Took longer to walk from the car park than see the dinosaurs!
Peculiarly no dinosaur themed merch or official photo opp with the dinosaurs.
Back in the summer a similar event was held at Rufford Abbey which was superior in every way, and much cheaper.
The organisers should hold their heads in shame!
This park looked lovely, we all had a good day here, enjoyed the Dinos walking around, thought they did the walk way around really nice, the lighting was also good.
Grandkids liked the rides they went on which where extra but was only £2.50 for ea ride they did.
Plenty of food stations where food all looked lovely, ours tasted nice and enjoyed it, yes with attractions like this they do seem to overprice the food, which is a shame but it happens all the time though.
Could of done with a lot more tables and benches to eat and have a sit down for amount of people that was there and food outlets.
There was toilets around the site .
Nice enjoyable day out for us and the price we thought was reasonable
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, like other reviews don't waste your money. Extortionate price to get in and even then expensive rides on the fair, not much to do once your in and by that time you wish you had gone to McDonald's with the kids. It would have been cheeper to knaw my own limbs off and used them as a fairground ride for the kids.
Not charge so much, it was so disappointing and I won the tickets to go but paid for a family ticket so my other daughter could go. Parking ticket was paid for but no body checked it.
How on earth it was 2 hours long I not sure took 11 off us 30 minutes to go around and we had a toddler. Didn't see the things that were advertised and can only say kids liked the tents for creative activities. Was so looking forward to this event but a total let down, if I hadn't have won the tickets initially I wouldn't have gone. I understand the need to get people out and about but the prices for the experience was very over priced. Needed a money tree not a pretend talking tree. Not at all what I expected and the advertisement looked amazing, such a let down.

Wow. What a joke!!!!! What a absolute waste of time and a massive disappointment. The website is the only thing that's had any effort put into it. Over priced rubbish with a very naff overpriced fair added on for good measure. Over £40 for 3 of us to queue to walk through a little bit of woodland to look at rubbish dinosaur models with holes in and some falling apart.
Show more...What do you get for your money? A queue to get in as the staff couldn't use the scanners. Blocked toilets. A massive wait for rubbish "attractions". Robbed if you want food or drink. Robbed if your child wants to go on a fair ride. A "3D" experience that was worse quality than my old Sega Mega Drive, and an hour's journey each way.
Absolute money making scam aimed at parents who want to spend quality time with their kids.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
