My review is biased, I have ancestors buried here, the last being my paternal grandparents. The road outside is very narrow, so parking is difficult, especially since a " visitor site" opened a few years ago. They have spent money so people from towns think they are seeing the countryside, in truth, the whole place is a vision of what the developers want them to see. There is a duck pond, I and dozens of my family were born here, and never heard of ducks on Slieve until the council brought them here.
Thankfully most of these lnterlopers arn't interested in our sacred churchyard/ graveyard.

Worth a visit for anyone who is interested in local or national history. A really nice experience in the shadow of Slieve Gullion

We had known of the Killevy Churches from some tourist maps we had obtained at our B&B, but stumbled upon them while taking a "short-cut" across a hill side while following signs to a cairn. We never did find the cairn, but the church ruins, graveyard, and the history surrounding them more than made up for that. We spent an enjoyable 40 minutes exploring every corner of the place, hunting for the oldest grave, taking photos, and trying to figure out from the map on the placard exactly where the ancient grave of the nun was buried. Well worth a stop to explore if you are anywhere near the area.

We faced gail force winds and downed trees on narrow back roads to find this place! It was difficult to photograph because of the winds, but we were able to explore and see the ruins and accompanying old cemetery with graves from 1700s. Despite the weather, it is encouraging to see how the church was present so many centuries ago.

Loved the place, atmospheric old traditions in Saint Monimas grave (think that's how it's spelt) if you like old cemeteries you'll like this.

Really old monastic site set in the Heart of South Armagh. A real piece of Irish History (plus one single commonwealth grave from 1916). Well worth a visit.
