I was offered a Stadium Tour as part of a work trip to Villa Park. As a lifelong Villa fan I was so excited at the opportunity, as living several hours from the ground it’s not always easy to make matches or events. I have to say I was not disappointed.

Everyone working on the day was absolutely fantastic and it made me proud to be a supporter of such a great club. Our tour guide was Mike Dale and I can’t recommend him highly enough. As only one of two Villa fans on the tour on the day Mike had his work cut out but in fact the banter between Mike and everyone only enhanced the enjoyment for me as it was all so good natured. Mikes knowledge and passion for the club was a joy to hear and only made my love for the club even stronger to see someone who cared so much. I could tell this was not just a job for Mike it was a love.

The tour in general was great and you get to see all the “big ticket” sites such as the changing rooms, media rooms and walk down the tunnel onto the pitch. As a Villa fan I can’t see anyone being disappointed with anything this tour has to offer, I can’t wait to go again!

Myself, my sister and my two children, one boy aged 6 and one girl aged 3 did the tour with Arthur on Thursday 29/10/2020. As there is not much to do at the moment, I booked on last minute the day of the tour for a 3pm slot and was not really expecting much, just a change of scenery.
I’ve visited villa park since I was a very young child, my Dad loves history and I’ve heard many a story about the past, he and my mother were both born and brought up in Aston I was surprised to hear more history that I’ve not been told before by our tour guide Arthur. His knowledge, clear love for the club and how interactive and personal he made it for the children was really excellent. I felt totally safe with the current situation and measures Aston Villa had one place, only 6 people are allowed on the tour. The tour normally accommodates for 25, so it made it that much more personal. It was just great to get back inside the stadium after months of lockdown but it was also lovely to see the character and background places you don’t normally see on match days. My children’s favourite I believe was the changing rooms, walking out the tunnel with the entrance music and walking pitch side and sitting in the dug put! I highly recommend this tour for adults and children alike! Thanks for making the tour great Arthur 😊

I booked this trip for my two sons as a birthday treat. They are huge Aston Villa fans just like their dad (however I was roped into taking them somehow!!) I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I did.

A lovely lady (I think her name was Denise) welcomed us and gave us our lanyard. We were able to see where the team has their post and pre match food, a look at the executive boxes , the various cups won, a brief history of the club, history of the stadium and then for the bits the boys enjoyed the most! The dressing rooms, the players tunnel and the substitutes bench. The boys loved leading the rest of the tour down the tunnel to the music!!

We then spent far too much money in the club shop (10% off but has to be full price) some bargains to be had.

We all absolutely loved the whole day and would recommend it to anyone other than Birmingham city fans perhaps!!! My sons are 13 and 8 and didn’t loose interest at all.

Parking is easy and free. Just put the Aston Villa shop into the sat nav as the entrance to the north stand is opposite.

Thanks for a great day!!!

Had a great, "covid friendly" 50th birthday tour of Villa Park today with Team Burling. Guide was Arthur and he was really knowledgable, funny and friendly made us feel very welcome. Saw behind the scenes at the stadium, including hospitality, dressing room and press box. Even got to enter the pitch area through the tunnel with the music playing just like a player. Would recommend any Villa fan to do this tour or any other fan just to see how Villa do it 👍

Went on the tour with my Grandson. We went to all the places you couldn't normally go. The tour was informative and excellent value for money. The guide Mick Dale was not only funny and knowledgeable he was great with the kids and didn't rush us at all. The icing on the cake was when he actually called Villa legend Tony Morley on his phone to get him to wish a little lad called Morley a happy birthday. I would recommend this tour to anyone and ask if you can go on Micks tour !! Top bloke . Guy Bamber and James 23.12.2019

For Christmas my wife bought us tickets to tour round Villa Park and have lunch after.
The tour was excellent very informative and the tour guide was very knowledgable and enthusiastic. The tour itself lasted for over 2 hours and the only room that inaccessible was the medical room for obvious reasons. As an Aston Villa fan I was in my element and will remember this day for the rest of my days.
My wife who has no interest in football also found the tour very interesting. The food was also very nice and we would recommend anybody to A, take a tour of Villa Park and B, take the tour with lunch because it is well worth it.
Thanks to Aston Villa FC and our tour guide for a fabulous day.

AMAZING DAY!!! Dianne our tour guide was absolutely fantastic and is truly a credit to the club!! We arrived slightly late and she ran down to grab us and brought us up to speed so we didn’t miss anything. She was a fountain of knowledge, passionate and fun and made the day absolutely brilliant for everyone on the tour. Can’t recommend this experience enough and couldn’t believe what excellent value for money it was!! A truly amazing day for 2 life long Villans!! Thank you!!!

First what a credit Mick Dale is to Aston Villa, absolutely interesting and knowledgeable!. We had a tour with him at 2pm - 27/10 for half term. There were 4 in our group, then a separate 2 with us. He was very interested in us and our knowledge, interests etc. He was superb with the kids (and my Teenager!). He was funny, and made our tour superb. We did a tour back in July 2015, My son has done Mascot in 2018 and we are regular fans to Villa Park, holding Claret Memberships.
I will never grow tired of seeing the ground, and walking through the tunnel etc!. Mick is a asset to the club, making small details ensure our visit was memorable and interesting. The price of the tour if fantastic, and really is worth going if you are a villa fan or not!. I am sure we will do it again at some point!, was very interesting getting an insight to how the club is running during COVID times too. Well done AVFC and what a pleasure Mick Dale. Hope to be back with you for match days very soon!! #UTV - Denise, Yasmin, Callum and Archie

This was a really enjoyable tour with the chance to meet and talk to legends of the '82 European cup winning team on 30th January 2022.
We had the pleasure of being escorted by Allan Evans and Mic , or was it Dave, but they were both entertaining and knowledgeable.
Facts given concerning the history of the club were given in an easy and entertaining way to ensure that all ages would find them interesting.
The Q and A session at the end was good fun, but as always with these they never last long enough.
I would strongly recommend this tour for all ages, but also for non football fans as it was also entertaining.

The whole 2 hour tour was brilliantly led by our tour guide Keith who was full of information on the club.
We visited all areas of the ground including changing rooms, players lounge, etc.
I fully recommend a visit and at £17 per person it was fantastic value.
