We visited the arboretum to watch “Arboretum Sunsets” with Richard Thompson. Great way to see live music. Shame the toilets don’t exist ! Must make it very difficult for visitors who aren’t close by.
Show more...We had never been here before but what a lovely little place! We had a nice walk around and we were made particularly welcome at the cafe onsite. The service was amazing and the lady was so lovely and kind. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend a trip here.
Show more...Our choice for our last morning on a short city break. We could see it was a lovely asset for the city. Beautifully maintained, very clean, and some interesting points of interest. Sadly we found the lack of information on the trees something of a disappointment.
Show more...What a real surprise! Jewel in the crown!
Visiting in early spring with Snowbells and very early blossom. Only a 10 minute walk from the main centre. Trees, scrubs and a pool with ducks middle of Nottingham. A delight in a brick and concrete world. A chill zone.
A walk through the Arboretum in lockdown is one of many places to visit, well maintained band stand block off but overall a pleasant place to visit, even in the rain like today.
Show more...Sunday picnic with friend.nice peaceful green Nottingham area. Please remember to do not feed duck with bread but seeds.Flowers and great plants around.not a fan of birds in cage.one issue toilets was closed down.
Show more...Sunday afternoon stroll, hundreds of students, loads of disposable BBQs and a deeply unpleasant atmosphere. Don't know why I expected any different. .
Show more...Myself and the husband came here in the early evening on our first night in the city. It was a lovely place to walkthere are maps around the outside but the place isn't huge so it's easy to wander round the whole thing. there are a few sights of interest, such as the Chinese Bell, which were nice to see. A wonderful place for a walk.
Show more...This arboritum has it all close to the City centre within 10 mins of safe walking distance. Nottingham Arboretum has much more to offer in addition to the Arboretum. It has a lake and an aviary. The grounds are planted with lots of shrubs and seasonal bedding plants. The dahlia bed is a must-see in Septmeber. The aviary is at the centre of the park and houses many rescued birds which would otherwise have died its so nice and relaxing set with a City. There is also a bell tower with cannons and a band stand.

It's just a park. Fine for a walk but certainly not a "hidden gem". Frequented by students during the day and drug addicts/homeless during the night. Nothing for children. I think the fact people have rated this as one of the top things to do in Nottingham just shows how dire things are there. Takes 10 minutes to walk the perimeter
