Not a good evening for me, unfortunately. First mistake was that we sat in our seats at about 6.30pm. First act did not come on till 8 ish and Ball & Boe about 8.40pm. I had had enough by then in the not very comfortable stall seats (on top of the ice rink) which were not tiered in any way so any big head in front meant the view was obscured. Also, there was insufficient space between seats. It is so obviously a 'cram 'em in' situation to get maximum bucks out of the public.
The immediate prelude to the main act was a massive flashing light in your face forcing me to close my eyes. I had to do this several times in the ensuing two hours. Whilst I appreciate they have decent singing voices I found the evening too loud 'shouty' and as far as I was concerned the accoustics were not good. Leicester's De Montfort Hall is far superior - really good accoustics and usually tiered seats in the stalls. But I doubt you can pack enough in there for the likes of Ball & Boe these days though.

Not great for disabled. I came to watch Kisstory FM tour and was in a wheelchair with a carer. We stood in a queue despite me showing my lanyard and nimbus accessibility card that provides an icon that I cannot queue and I have toileting needs. These are meant to get you inside quicker and through a different due to the disabled persons needs…the steward took a look and shrugged. Then once I got to our seats, we thought what a great view…until the people infront stood up and we couldn’t see a single thing. My husband is 6ft and he couldn’t see, so how was I sat on a wheelchair going to see. Us disabled don’t just pay all this money to listen to people’s sing whilst look at people’s bottoms. We told the steward we couldn’t see and she just said “I can’t stop them dancing.” Fair enough you can’t, but maybe it would be better to put your disabled customers at the front of a balcony so everybody else is lower. This is what it’s like in the majority or arenas. We were so angry, we went to customer services and they managed to put us in a box, just so that I could see more than a persons bottom. Who designed this area and put disabled people on almost the same level as other people??

My previous negative experience has been playing on my mind recently, as I am returning as a wheelchair user for JLS in a few weeks. I’m really hoping I am not going to end up with the same treatment. I hope somebody acknowledges my disability at the arena when I arrive and supports me with my needs, they makes sure I am comfortable and able to see when others stand during the event….otherwise the arena is not disabled friendly. We do not pay money to listen to music whilst looking at people’s bums. If any issues occur, I will be straight at the box office asking to be moved somewhere else. I will then address this with all the charities such as AccessAbilty to show that you are not disabled friendly like advertising. We disabled people are in touch with lots of apps and charities, that help us find accessible places. I may go as far to say that if I only get a view of a bum this year, I am go to the local paper as I haven’t paid a large sum of money not to see. None of your wheelchair accessible spots are advertised as a restricted view, so I shouldn’t expect one.

I have always been to Motorpoint Arena Nottingham for my concerts as it is a lot smaller than other arenas, and I feel closer to whom I am watching. From JLS and Justin Bieber, to the Script and Michael Buble, I have never been anywhere else. However, as a chirstmas present, I bought myself, my mum, auntie and grandma tickets to watch ABBA last night. From beginning to end, we couldn't hear what was being said through the microphones. Everybody chanting 'turn it up' and even being moved from one side of the arena to another. Everyone around us were saying the same thing as us and we saw multiple groups filling out complaint forms. An experienced made memorable for the wrong things.

Visited the arena to watch Slipknot. Getting was an easy experience as we arrived a little later so not many people about. Sat in block 12. Not to bad a position. Concert was on time and that was where the positives ended. I'm not too sure who I was watching or what songs they were singing as the sound quality was absolutely horrendous. The music totally drowned out the singing you had zero idea which song Cory was singing and only guessed by the odd lyrics you managed to catch. It was just 2 hours of music. We ended up leaving early as there was no point sitting there and bot enjoying it. Have seen slipknot here before and it was bad back then in 2015 but for some reason it's got worse. I very much doubt I will be attending any more music concerts at this venue. Save your money folks and watch it when it comes on YouTube for free.

Went here to see the England netball. Absolute nightmare to move around between the games, dangerously congested. Broken seats, chip shop charging £4.50 for a barely full tray of chips served by people who could care less or even think to fill the condiments in the down time between games. Parking in a chaotic lot across the road, £1.75 for a twirl chocolate. Grotty loos. Avoid

We went to see the Andre Rieu concert. We were in block B, row M. Seats were spaced out so plenty of leg room but not too much space to the person next to you. View was amazing. Didn't need to use the big screens at all. Drinks were extortionate!! £6 for a pint / glass of wine / bottle larger plus £1 each for a plastic reusable mug, which was an excellent idea to cut out single use plastic. It could be returned and you'd get your quid back. They definitely need more loos. The interval queue was so long people weren't back for the start of the 2nd half. The concert was lovely. beautiful music and dresses and we also had fun in the snow lol

Security were friendly and efficient, and the whole experience of finding your seat was daunting, but the staff excellent and helpful.
As 'seniors' attending for the Bob Dylan experience we choose the tiered seats, which were comfortable and as we were in Block B, as good as we could have hoped. Cost of these seats at circa £100.00 is expensive, and although the concert and sound was superb, a bit of dressing to the stage and some large screens would have been a really nice addition. The stage was large, and in my opinion the band could have been pitched much more to the front.
An excellent evening, but could have been made just that little bit more special.

Gutted! Been to see War of the Worlds this week. Luckily I knew it well but my husband didn’t, Liam Neeson was narrating however he was drowned out by the orchestra. Sound quality was distorted at best.
Such a shame for a masterpiece that has stood the test of time.
Chaos ensued prior to the performance as our seats had to be relocated due to my husbands knee replacement a week ago, walked to what would have been better seats for him, only to get there to be told they didn’t exist. At this point my husband had been stood and/or walking for a hour ( not good 1 week post surgery) had to walk to other seats in an upstairs block, end row. Brilliant we thought, only to be shouted at by a frustrated woman acting as though she was entitled because he wouldn’t (couldn’t) stand any more. Steps were too dangerous for someone with poor balance to have manoeuvred again. Time and time again we saw people stumble on them.
Outcome: we won’t be going there again!

Was really looking forward to seeing Ricky Gervais but unfortunately had to walk out early because it was so hot in the arena. I went to the bathroom during the show and felt a bit sick because it was so hot in the arena. When I came back to my seat I realised the difference in temperature and me and my partner couldn’t bare to sit in there any longer. I wouldn’t exactly call it Covid safe, obviously we are all piled in like sardines but you’re not even circulating the air where there’s 1000’s of people in the room! Shocking that the air conditioning isn’t on to keep people cool and keep the air flowing.

To make matters worse, we were sat next to a group of people who thought it was ok to talk through the performance. Not the arenas fault, but really annoying when you pay all that money and can’t hear half of what’s being said.
