Escape Live is Birmingham's premier live escape game for groups of 2-6 people. You have 60 minutes to complete a mountain of puzzles and mysteries. The aim is simple: get out... before it's too late.
Show more...Had a great time with family and friends trying to find Moriarty's gun and solve the mystery.
This was an online Virtual Escape Room, capably managed by Rob who kept things moving while we were trying to sort out the various puzzles.
I would thoroughly recommend this type of adventure that enabled us to effectively 'meet' in Birmingham from Southampton and the Isle of Bute!
We also had extra time after the game which enabled us to talk this through and generally chat.
This is the first time I did an online Escape Room experience so I did not know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised, it was wonderfully interactive with us directing the host (in our case Aaron) on where to look. For this reason I would recommend no more than 4 for an experience otherwise i’de expect it gets noisy! Aaron was fabulously entertaining, I’m not sure whether he’s a trained actor or not but he was wonderfully convincing, our experience was Room 13. We are booking other experiences through them as we know what to expect,
Show more...My children are 17,14 and 9 and they loved the time travel game. They are hard to please but want to do another game soon. It is pricey for a family of 5 for only an hour but worth paying as a treat because we could all work together it really is so much fun and the timer adds pressure! The guy was really nice and gave us hints if we needed them. We arrived on time but really needed to get their earlier so the game could be explained without the poor guy rushing Sorry about that! You won't be disappointed book now!
Show more...This was a treat for daughters 13th birthday. Due to COVID and restrictions we wanted to do something to celebrate her birthday from home.
The online escape room was a perfect solution. It’s held over ZOOM and other family members also took part from their homes. Helena was our online host and she was in the room with a camera and followed our directions and instructions. It was just like we were actually there. She was brilliant and explained everything clearly. She was led by us to decipher the clues and codes without intervening or giving us clues unless we really wanted help.
We managed to get to the end with almost 7 minutes to spare.
Well worth the money and a fun way to spend virtual time as a whole family.
Would definitely recommend.
We weren’t to sure what to expect with the live escape room but it was great! We did the Shakespeare room. Steph was our games master and she made it really fun for us all. Steph was able to take us around the room in a way that was really understandable so we could all get the clues we needed. Would definitely do it again! Thanks!

There are many different types of virtual escape rooms. The format used was a live guide in the escape room with the help of Zoom and Telescape (An app where photos of the items in the room are placed).
Your guide is your eyes in the room so be sure to be clear on your directions on what you want your guide to do.
Hint: Be sure to have a pencil and paper to jot down what is in the room as your guide reviews the room with you. This helps to keep track of what locks, puzzles are not complete.
Aaron was our guide and he was helpful and very entertaining. He definitely made the room fun and engaging.
The room had the appropriate decor and there were a number of puzzles that were challenging but fun.
The story line was great and the puzzles helped with the storyline.
We (a group of three) got out with less than 5 minutes left and we went at a comfortable pace.
We wished we could have done this room in person but hard to do when we are in the U.S.
We have attempted many online escape rooms and this room was above average.
We will definitely be back to try out the other rooms.
We did Room 13 as a team social with work colleagues. It was great fun! Amy was our host and she was brilliant. Amy explored the room for us while we were cracking the clues and asking Amy for to unlock padlocks, open draws etc from the comfort of our own homes!
Show more...Moriarty the last stand, we all played the room online during lockdown, a family get together. The game was really fun and brilliant. It was so exciting because the host Guy kept the suspence going and was really funny. We had a brilliant time trying to solve all the clues inside the room.
Show more...First escape experience, kids bought it for my birthday. Great venue, well organised and our host Mark was a good laugh and very helpful. We managed to escape with just under 4 minutes left, once we'd been told to tidy up the final room otherwise we'd be "detected". Loved it. Perfectly Covid safe too. Thoroughly recommended.

I've played 2 rooms here with a group friends, The Lab and The new Peaky Blinders one. The Lab was good but it seemed rather easy as there were 5 of us. We got out with just over 8 minutes left and would have been out sooner if one of the keys/locks we had worked properly. The lock thing was a bit annoying as it wasted a fair bit of time (around 10 minutes) for us going off on a tangent after it didn't open before being guided back to the same lock. As for the Peaky Blinders room, when you first walk in it is pretty impressive and seems well built & good level of detail gone into it. We all just felt the puzzles were too easy and some of them obvious without having to work out the answer so we got to the end and felt a bit like oh was that it.. Without spoiling anything there were nice little touches that made the experience better the only thing that really let this room down was the price. It's rather expensive and probably wouldn't have booked it myself but a couple in the group were fans of the show so we had to join in.
