Show more...A liitle gem of a hotel in a fantastic location, a stone's throw from Kelvingrove park, galleries, University as well as the shops of Sauchiehall Street. A few steps away is a lovely cosy little cafe for coffees and lunch and next door in te basement a great modern (hipster) restaurant with a creative and delicious menu (March Five). The hotel is clean and well decorated and full of period featues. The only downside was thin walls ( I could hear my next door neighbour cough and snore in the night!!). Luckily that was all I heard! Staff were friendly and helpful.
Show more...Lovely hotel , very welcoming, clean and comfortable. Quiet area overlooking the park , good sized bedroom . Excellent cooked breakfast and attentive staff . Handy for Kelvingrove Museum and lots of excellent eateries nearby. Great hotel , good value for money, can highly recommend .
Show more...Our son recommended this hotel and it met our high expectations. The hotel was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly, and breakfasts were freshly cooked to order. We walked to and from the city centre, Kelvingrove Museum, and the Armadillo. Took a reliable bus to the Arena. We would certainly use Acorn Hotel again.
Show more...A wonderful little hidden gem of a hotel. Booked this a year before an event for £40 a night and everything nearer to the event was £100-£200 a night. A lovely little hotel with a homey feel. Nice clean and well designed room. Totally safe and in a nice part of town. The walls are extremely thin though and you can hear people in the room next door watching TV. The bathroom was nice, the shower nice and warm but difficult to figure out. I was disturbed three times by maintenance one of the days but he was extremely apologetic and nice. Every day when I came back from the event the room was clean and towels changed. 5* from me. Great little hotel
Show more...Fab location clean & modern Friendly great parking Eateries & pubs all in 5 min walk Great facilities in room TV buffered quite a lot but we only really had it on for news/sport/weather Lighting was low in bathroom which was a struggle putting contact lenses in! Great shower thou….no toiletries provided
Show more...Lovely quiet hotel, ideally situated for city centre and West End. Friendly, helpful Reception staff. Comfortable beds. Stayed here several times now and will do so again. Several good cafes - Park Cafe and Willow Cafe very close and good for breakfasts.
Show more...very clean and comfortable accommodation, friendly helpful staff checked me in to my room 2 hrs before stated check in time, very reasonable price, just a short walk from the city centre located in a very nice area of Glasgow with plenty of bars and restaurants.
Show more...This place is fantasically situated off the main streets but ideal for both the City and the wonderful Kelvingrove art gallery and parks. We were greeted by the nicest of hosts,Kevin, who showed us to a room with a queen bed and which had free wifi, and tea and coffee. Kevin was really helpful, pointing places out on the map, as a result, we were able to visit the gallery and fit in a lovely walk along the Clyde. Breakfast choice was continental but also included a varied main breakfast - very tasty and more than enough ! Two things to mention, the tv was not really useable but we only turned it on out of curiosity. The room was also quite cold at night, but extra blankets are provided Overall this is an ideal place to stay for couples - almost no noise, no pets and no noisy parties. I would say it would also fit the bill for business people, although we arrived in taxi so not sure if parking is available. Tip is to book taxi with local firm as you will save 10-15 pounds on airport ones.
Show more...Another great stay at Acorn Hotel, easily the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Glasgow. Lovely warm welcome, great breakfast, super comfy room in lovely quiet part of the city but close to all the fun! Very handy for Kelvingrove if you fancy a stroll as well

Everything was excellent. Alan at reception was warm and welcoming and informative. The room was comfy with everything we needed and the area was quiet. Great location for getting around locally. I would recommend and will return when back in Glasgow.
