The hotel is seeped in history. It's worth exploring the lower floors. Yet the rooms are pretty modern and have most of the amenities you'd want. Great location, right above the train station, but also walking distance to most of the sights in Glasgow.

Being a coach tour driver, I stay in alot of IHG hotels and I’m always delighted by the quality of their hotels, facilities and staff, my experience staying in IHG hotels are always a great pleasure and the voco grand central in Glasgow is one of my favourites. The hotel is certainly grand and lives up to its name, it’s the most beautiful, grand and elegant hotel I’ve stayed in so far. The staff are amazing, helpful and always welcoming. The various rooms I’ve stayed in have all been amazing too, the cleanliness of the rooms are exceptional and the cleaning staff do a tremendous job and should be rightly appreciated too. The restaurant and bar are top class and I always enjoy a night cap looking out onto the train station, which is an amazing view in itself…. I would just like to quickly mention that After staying in the holiday inn express, terminal 4, Heathrow, two nights before (also an IHG hotel) and having a really bad experience there. I was lied to, spoken to inappropriately and treat like scum by the night manager and staff, I’ve made a formal complaint regarding there behaviour as I believe it doesn’t matter who walks through your hotel door, everyone should be treat with the respect that they would expect if they were staying in an hotel, (which I’m still shocked by) the grand central hotel has restored my faith in IHG hotels. I would recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone staying in Glasgow. You won’t be disappointed.

Lovely greeting on arrival. Very quickly checked in.. Room was clean and comfortable. We had a room looking onto the station and we were unable to hear any noise. Breakfast was delicious. We have stayed here many times and never had a complaint yet!

A magnificent building in a great location in Glasgow especially if arriving by train. A bit tired around the edges, but a good four star hotel. One of the two lifts is out of service at the moment which can be a bit tedious, and our room did not have any kind of view but was roomy enough. The bathroom was good. Breakfast was ok with a reasonable choice. Champagne in Champagne Central is seriously overpriced. We were on the second floor and bothered by noise from the ballroom which was hosting an event, but it stopped at midnight. I would stay here again.

The Voco Grand is in a great location, the rooms are ok the staff are friendly and welcoming. Its a quiet hotel even those its next to the station. The big thing that is letting this hotel is the situation with the lifts , One of the lifts was out of action, so this meant if your on one of the higher floors you would be waiting much longer, some of our group gave up and used the stairs with heavy luggage.Breakfast was nice enough , however it did feel like it was miles away ! Would I stay again, if the lifts were working and the put the breakfast room in a more accessible place.

Staff are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great and location is prefect for getting in and around Glasgow. Been here before and definitely will be back again it's great for just a night away or when in town for night out ideal to stay in hotel rather than making way home

Lovely hotel with the best location. The champagne bar was definitely worth a visit. Only down side was low lighting in the room which made it difficult to get ready and not look like a clown. Breakfast certainly wasn’t the best unfortunately.

We booked this hotel last minute and every part of it was perfect. We couldn’t fault a single thing and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was warm and spotlessly clean. All of the staff were extremely friendly, our room was cosy, spacious and the beds super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, lots of choice in beautiful surroundings. We will definitely return.

We had an amazing time here. All of the staff were incredibly helpful. Our room was perfect and came with some the little touches that make all the difference. The rest of hotel is beautiful, especially the ballroom and the bar, and we had a great time exploring Glasgow. We will definitely be coming back!

I have now stayed here for our last 12 visits to Glasgow. In my opinion is the nicest Hotel in Glasgow. It is so central to shops , bars and restaurants. The hotel is stunning with its excellent choice of food and the lovely Champagne Bar. The staff are so helpful and everyone has a lovely smile on their face. The rooms are so nice and maintained to a high standard. I would like to say a special mention to Alisha Smith from Guest Relations. Anytime that we have stayed she has made it so special. This is the main reason I see it being the best in Glasgow. Worthwhile giving it a try and I am pretty sure you would return.
