Göreme Cave Lodge

Great stay in Goreme at the GCL. The breakfast is great and the rooftop is superb offering amazing views of the hot air balloons over the sky. The rooms are clean and modern. The staff are truly amazing and very helpful. Our stay was incredible, would fully recommend. Thank you Murat and Harun.

Good review ratings of the Goreme Cave Lodge were a part of my decision to book four nights at the hotel. I am pleased that I can now add to those good reviews. The Goreme Cave Lodge is a very good small hotel. The hotel is in a quiet location, up a small side road, but in only three minutes or so walk you are pretty much in the centre of the town, having already walked past a number of restaurants and other shops etc. that are conveniently close to the hotel. The hotel itself looks good and is very clean and tidy. Entry and exit to the hotel is via steps since the hotel is sort of below street level. I had a standard room on the ground floor facing the pool. The room was a good size, the bathroom was split between the shower and toilet in one section and the wash basin in another. The facilities were of a good standard, everything worked as it should. For me the room was a little dark. It had one window and I kept the curtain closed for privacy due to it facing out into a public area. There was air conditioning (I didn’t need it) a small fridge with complimentary bottle of water, coffee and tea and a television. Buffet breakfast was served from 8.30am on the top floor and there were plenty of food options. This might seem a late time to start breakfast service but many of us visiting Goreme will be going on a hot air balloon flight and will be arriving back from that around 7.30am and you may then have the shower you didn’t have when you were waking up at 3.30am ready to be picked up for the balloon flight, so the time works out just right. The hotel does not have a restaurant for lunch/dinner but there are many good restaurants nearby. In general The Goreme Cave Lodge made me feel like I was staying in a nice hotel but the best thing by far was the staff. They made such a positive difference to my experience at the hotel. I am mainly talking about Murat who covers reception at night and Anya during the day, Anya also helps to serve breakfast. Murat and Anya always greeted me by name and had pleasant conversation with me about what I was planning to do in Goreme that day etc. and always offered to bring me a tea, coffee or other drink. I checked out at 0515am, well before 8.30am breakfast and without me even having to ask, Murat had a sandwich and carton of fruit juice for me to take on the journey to Kayseri airport. The level of friendly personal service at the Goreme Cave Lodge, thanks to Murat and Anya is better than you would get at many hotels costing far more and graded higher. I am very happy with my decision to choose the Goreme Cave Lodge while visiting Goreme, definitely not disappointed.

I had a fantastic stay at Goreme Cave Lodge. From the moment I booked, the team there were very attentive. They sent me information about the hotel and area and organised an airport transfer. The hotel is in a great location, a quiet side street only a few minutes walk from the main streets. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, and the included breakfast was great (and huge!) Best of all is the service- all the staff are friendly and very helpful, and they even made us some sandwiches to bring to the airport on our last morning (we left before breakfast started.) I would highly recommend anyone visiting Goreme to stay here!

Perfect stay, could not get better! Highly recommended with no doubt. Hôtel very beautiful, super clean. Rooftop with view. the team working there was like a family. They Made us feel like home. Food and service was great. Being alone, in couple or with kids, you can only enjoy. Walkable distance from the center, restaurants and shops. Definitely worth it !

An amazing stay!! Definitely the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Their service was outstanding. All of the staff were so nice and were very accommodating with an early check-in and late check-out. They gave us so many complimentary snacks and drinks. The breakfast each morning was outstanding and they even went out of their way to get me some gluten free bread. The bed is so comfortable and it is so dark at night, makes it hard to get up for sunrise (although it’s worth it!) Great location too! Couldn’t recommend it enough 🙌🏼

A truly unforgettable experience. Thank you to all the staff for your kind and genuine hospitality. You made our stay so memorable. Beautifully clean and spacious rooms with picturesque views from the terrace and a scrumptious breakfast were just some of the highlights of our trip. The location is perfectly situated near restaurants and easy access for pick ups to the hot air balloons and planned tours. Will definitely recommend.

1. Amazing cave rooms with comfy bed, spacious bath and very quiet, you definitely get a good rest here. 2. Well located, just 3 minutes walk from Main Street with all the restaurants and shops. 3. Staff is very friendly and go the extra mile to accommodate your needs. They assist with scheduling tours and airport shuttle. 4. They are very responsive to any question even before arrival. 5. Offer breakfast with great variety and great taste. 6. Awesome terrace with Turkish decor and great views. 7. Internet connection is very strong from any point within the premises and never failed. 8. I appreciate they were able to provide me early check-in (3:00 a.m.) without any major hassle, which most hotels don't do. I definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again. it's superb.

The Goreme Cave Lodge is wonderful! The hotel is beautiful and very clean. We loved our cave suite with its modern bath. Breakfast was delicious with terrace seating to admire the view. The staff at GCL was excellent as well - so friendly & gracious. They helped book tours & transfers, and offered snacks & drinks. There are many restaurants & shops a short walk from the hotel, and transfers from the airport are easy. It was a lovely stay & we hope to return. Highly recommend!!

A peacefull and extraordinary place to be. Perfect for couples, family, groups. Top serving and extraordinary tasteful foods. Right near the Town Centrum, with a lot restaurants, caffes and pubs in the neighborhood.

There is nothing you can complain about this place, the hospitality, the room, breakfast… everything is at its finest. You will get all the help you need from everyone there. Make sure to book a stay there when you visit Goreme, I would always love to come back
