New House Country Hotel

From the moment, we parked our car ( after driving 15 hours ) from Switzerland.. under the Sequoia trees, and being greeted by a Welsh warm welcome, you knew this was going to be a FABULOUS 3 night stay! The decor is Beautiful! The beds are immaculately CLEAN & So comfy!! And a little finishing touch the welsh woven tapestry throws. The bathrooms are SPOTLESS & beautiful! Perfect showers and water pressure! The staff are a CREDIT to the hotel! Nothing was too much trouble, we needed a little laundry & it was whisked away, hanging and pressed a few hours later! Our guests joining us for The most delicious “afternoon tea” they were running late, not a problem … the Chef and staff were fabulous and it was all served fresh, when our guests arrived…. I could go on & on how fabulous this hotel is :-) We will Return! Thank you all at NewHouse Country Hotel

We shall definitely be returning. The hotel felt very relaxed and welcoming. The rooms were beautiful, very clean and the beds were perfect! We had dinner which was delicious and the breakfast was very good too.

Our third visit to New House and as always excellent service and accommodation . The location is amazing for visiting our family and friends with outstanding views looking out across Cardiff towards the sea. Perfect! Back soon.

It was a really great experience from start to finish. All the previous comments by others were very accurate and helpful. If your driving from m4 use CF83 1LY when you see travellers rest on left carry on a bit further and the entrance is down the hill on the right . The staff were really helpful and the food was fantastic an amazing all round experience. A New house with old fashion values.

Beautiful Hotel, attentive Staff and loved the log fires. Rooms were very spacious. View over Cardiff from our room and lounge was spectacular day and night. Outside Glass structure would be fabulous for a Wedding.

Stayed here many times and always find it such a relaxing place to stay. Excellent facilities, meals and in particular the staff are always very helpful and friendly. Looking forward to our next visit!

A wonderful treat on a grey February weekend! A fantastic, spacious and well equipped room - a real treat! Staff were friendly and helpful. A much better way to visit Cardiff on a match weekend - will definitely return.

We enjoyed a wonderful night's stay over the holidays. The hotel itself is lovely and the staff very welcoming. Parking was plentiful and free. Arriving after dark, there is a wonderful view of the Cardiff city lights in the distance. We stayed in Room 8, a beautiful two room suite. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless. The bathroom was so clean, I felt comfortable enough for a relaxing bath in the marvelous tub, something I seldom do in hotels. We had dinner in the on-site restaurant. The waitstaff was attentive and the food was delicious. The included full-English breakfast was tasty and filling and our server kindly gave us a great list of local sites to visit as we embarked on our two week trip through Wales. One small thing to consider. This hotel is clearly a fantastic place to hold a wedding or holiday celebration, and the night we stayed there was an event in a tented outdoor space. Because of the way sound travels and the location of our room, the music was pretty loud until far into the evening. This is in no way something the hotel could possibly control, but it is something to consider if booking on a weekend when there is the strong possibility of a wedding or holiday party. If noise is a consideration, it would probably be a good idea to enquire in advance about getting a room away from any on-site event. I would not let this keep me from staying here at all. We were sorry to be leaving after only one night, and are looking forward to staying again some day.

On arrival I was greeted by a very friendly young lady who checked me in. The room was really clean and comfortable. At both dinner and breakfast the staff were very attentive and the food was great. Great location for travel into Cardiff. Would definitely recommend.

Another lovely stay at New House Hotel. Couple of minor room issues which were promptly sorted out by reception and house keeping staff. Great food in the restaurant and much more room in lounge now the bar area has been moved. Will definitely visit again!
