This popular attraction offers a unique indoor experience.
Show more...I have to say the pool itself and poolside attendants were great no problems in that area. The changing rooms in both ladies and gents were awful. The floor was covered in dirt, grit and hair. There was no attendant for the changing room and there was noone at any time when we were there cleaning the floor. Its an aspect which has put us off future visits. At a cost of £15.60 for a family of 4 you would think they would clean the changing room floor. The hygiene and germ factor doesn't bear thinking about. A very disappointed customer.
Show more...Kids had great fun at waterworld and ten pin bowling.Staff was very helpful, but the changing room was disgusting because the floor was covered in dirt, grit etc.I was afraid to let the kids stand on it in there bare feet for fear they would pick up something vile.Hygiene should be a top priority in a any place with a high volume of people. They need to up their standards.
Show more...I arrived at the place said it opened 10:30 on the website got their 11:45 said closed opened in June July August this problem needs to be fixed so people don’t waste their time driving up.we went to colrain lesuire center better in the end
Show more...I have been a lot as I'm a local and there always seems to be poo in the pool and on the changing room floors and there was even dirty tampons on the floors. Filthy
Show more...Living in the area we thought it would be a great idea to take our six month old to Waterworld as he lives the water. Regretted this decision the day after as we had to rush our child to the Royal the next day due to an infection he had picked up. A night's stay in hospital and a course of antibiotics later, he is doing well. Been advised to take legal action. Although he enjoyed his actual time in the pool it is not worth it! Wouldn't even get it 1/5 but unfortunately it doesn't give me the option.
Show more...Waterworld Portrush, has been open for a considerable number of years, so you would think that by this time they would have running this attraction down to perfection, however after we checked their website on 6th August 2014 late in the evening time, with the intention of going the next morning after opening. The website gave the opening time as 10.30am, so we got ourselves packed up an ready to go, arriving at Waterworld just after opening time, only to find a notice on the front doors saying that the water park would be closed until 12.00 mid-day due to routine maintenance, really disappointing for us and many other families who like ourselves had turned up early due to time shown on the website.
We went the park etc. to put in the time as the children were really looking forward to playing on the slides and splashing around and we decided to wait, returning about 11.40 to the car to collect bags and wait for the waterpark to open. At this time there was other families waiting too and the queue began to build up until it had reached the front doors and beyond, the receptionist was not taking any money but shortly before 12.00 told us it would now be 14.00 before it would be open and the manager was coming to talk to us.
When he arrived he said he was a supervisor not manager, I said that the notice stated it was closed due to routine maintenance and as such it was planned, so should have been shown on the website to let everyone know, he said "you can take whatever you want from the notice", hardly good customer relations, another family had travelled from Buncrana on a wasted day trip. We then headed off for another few hours to Portstewart and returned at after 14.00 only to find that it would now be closed all day.
Would I recommend this attraction, only if you speak to them before going to avoid wasting your day.
Was a terrible experience for me there was poo in the pool and hair everywhere will never go back don't recommend it
Show more...Kids really enjoyed the slides ages from 5 to 9. They had fun with the pirate ships. Hadn't been in years and the place is quite rundown. Could do with a good clean. Showers and changing rooms are grubby
Show more...Myself, husband and two kids arrived at waterworld today at 4.00pm and paid £15.50 for the four of us. The kids were having a great ime only to be told by one of the attendants at 5pm we had to get out of the pool as it was closing at 5 O'Clock. Why were we not give a reduced rate of even told by the girl at reception when we were paying.
When me and my daughter went into the changing rooms we could not have a shower as one of the attendants was cleaning out the showers. The fitting rooms were disgusting so maybe better waiting to we got home. There was no adult supervision throughout the complex only young members of staff more worried what there were going to wear out that night!! Waterworld has really really gone down hill and we will not be back. Oh and also make sure you take cash as you cannot not pay by card method so my husband had to walk 10minutes to get cash before we could even get in. This is not on there web site that they don't take card payments.
Pool was ok as long as u had a hold to your child. Alot of steps and very slippy. Dressing rooms were awfull. The worst iv ever been in. There was only 2 changing room. We waited 15min for one and when we went in my 4 yr old daughter said "no mammy, I want to go back out, it's too dirty, yuck!! ". There was 6 or 7 nappies piled up in d corner and rubbish on d floor. Outside by the lockers was so mankey. Floor was so dirty, when I dropped my towel on it and picked it up again it was all brown stains. In the toilet you wouldn't no if you were standing on wee or just water. It was just horrible. We asked for comment cards but they had none. I won't be going there again.
