The Corner London City is a new concept design hotel... and the greenest hotel in London! Located close to bustling Brick Lane and the trendy bars, art galleries and boutiques of Shoreditch, it offers an off-the-charts experience for urban explorers who are hungry for new and unique experiences. Green credentials, quirky style and sociability are the revolutionary values at the heart of the hotel, that set it apart from all other hotels. Our bedrooms are futuristic in design, featuring a unique, all-in-one, cube-shaped pod, which includes the bed and the bathroom. The pod is sustainably built, features Super-King beds with ridiculously comfy organic handmade hypoallergenic mattresses, an integrated 32" LCD TV, reading/mood lighting, UK/EU and USB sockets, hairdryers, and a laptop safe. All our en-suite bathrooms have a powerful rain shower with water-saving technology, a steam-free mirror and luxurious organic toiletries. Bespoke, handmade furniture and locally sourced fixtures and fittings also add personality: no two of our quirky rooms are the same! Complimentary premium tea and coffee is offered on floors 1 to 4. Don't say we don't love you! At The Corner London City, a special attention is given to eco-friendly initiatives (such as solar panels on the roof, strong focus on all things recycling and energy-saving, organic toiletries, etc.) and to supporting the local community, while our calendar of monthly events in the hotel lounge feed our guests' creative hunger and attract the best of the local crowd too. Our in-house bar and restaurant offers great breakfast options for all tastes, as well as a modern all-day food & snacks menu, made from locally and sustainably sourced ingredients. Our free and super-fast Wi-Fi throughout the whole building makes the lobby the perfect place to eat, drink, work and/or socialise. A private secure gated car park with electric car charging points, recycled bikes for our guests to borrow (to enjoy the full East London experience!), luggage storage, a 24-hour front desk and express check-in/out. By focussing on delivering exceptionally well on the essentials, plus a whole load of cool extras and none of the stuffy frills typical of the previous generation hotels, at The Corner London City we pride ourselves in offering an incredibly personal experience to our guests and great value for money. Come sleep with us!
Show more...Interesting trendy boutique style offering value for money and an eclectic environment. Rooms are interesting as it must have been an office block or similar and the bed/bathroom is a modular construction within a refurbished shell it seems. Comfy but functional as opposed to chilled, art and furnishings quirky but made our , smaller than expected, room crowded. Cocktails were very nice and breakfast was ok and sadly could have been much better with more attentive supervision, i.e. the eggs were too old and the buffet was on the just warm enough side. Personal bench mark for a paid for breakfast is bacon and sausages! sourcing a good value volume tasty rasher and sausage is a quest, I know have a close friend in the industry and makes a massive impact on a brekkies! Bacon a 4 sausage a 2!, this small vignette probably highlights the gaps in the product. Corner is trying to be on trend and offer some value as well as achieving a sustainable business, this phase of growth requires real attention to detail not just friendly staff, Small things like my wife's cocktail arriving 5 minutes before mine as the bar person was having a high old time with a couple sitting there jars, similar with a table near us. We didn't eat so can't comment beyond breakfast but restaurant was busy and menu good value. Corner operates a pay as you go system and that's fine if you know, was annoying to be asked for payment for two drinks as soon as we arrived for breakfast, I didn't have my card with me I use for travel but the message was no pay no food so had to use a different card on phone, not a disaster but again that little detail. Either tell us, give us the bill at time of ordering or trust your guest we are not going to do a runner for £26!! We will stay again as we are likely to be going back to our fab restaurant in Spittlefields in the next couple of months but if the little details aren't improved it's a three star review and alternatives will be considered. Must stress the staff were lovely and tried hard but again cost base reflects the level of experience, normally I'd say you get what you pay for but Corner wants to be something better than that and could be a 5 star review today.
Show more...Pretty good location. Great if you need to be in the City or East End. Drug dealers active in the park outside the hotel but you get that in any London park. Loads of food options close by and Brick Lane 5 mins away. Rooms serviceable. There was a problem with my heater as it was pumping the smell of effluent into my room but I was moved and room was fine. Breakfast OK, not great. Rubbery fried eggs, but perfectly OK. About right for the price I paid. Limited parking out the back if you have a car which is useful. Would stay again. Staff all friendly and helpful. Review reads a more negative than the experience. Good budget option.
Show more...Nice location, close to city center. Close to everything you need. Easy access to shops, bus stations, metro stations. Really attractive prices in a top area. Top services, really tasty food and nice staff. Clean rooms and really tidy……..
Show more...The experience in general was good. I specially would like to thank the stuff member Greta, who was really kind and helpful. However on the negative side, the shower was slippery and the water saving system made washing off soap from body almost impossible.
Show more...We go every Monday and Tuesday to eat the lunch , the chef is very friendly and cooks very well, I strongly recommend it, the hall is very beautiful, quiet and harmonious, you should always eat at their place. I want to specify, the chef is Romanian and works in the afternoon, I recommend him with confidence.

Lovely room with the fluffiest pillows i’ve ever used! Really appreciated the eco vibe and the breakfast/dinner and lunch were perfect and delicious! PS: you have to try the chicken wings with their bbq sauce! I loved them! ❤️ Thanks to all the staff for making me feel like home!🇬🇧 Rose

Show more...Booked a last minute getaway and found a good deal with this hotel. We did opt for the windowless room which was our own fault in impacting our experience. We arrived and were greeted by a friendly staff member who guided us through self check in and pointed us in the direction of our room. The bar and lounge area is relaxed and has a nice vibe about it! Upon entering the stairwell down to our room we met another guest who kept the door open for us and welcomed us with the ominous words, “welcome to the dungeon.” We then headed to our room which is in the basement area of the hotel (more of a hostel). Upon entering there was a smell from the bathroom which wasn’t pleasant. I will say that the room was spacious and the bed was huge, but it creaked very loudly any time there was movement. We decided to get food at the hotel and opted for chicken dishes. I will say that the chicken tasted like it was cooked on a grill that had just been deep cleaned. The chicken tasted chemically, as did my partners. Although the staff were friendly they were slow in delivering my partners cocktail which took around 20 mins or more after ordering even though the venue was not that busy. After exploring London the second day, we decided to check out early and book ourselves into another hotel for the night. Again, it is partly our fault that we booked a windowless room, but just be prepared that if you do it really does feel like you’re staying in somebody’s basement.

Had the best time staying here for a couple of days' city break with the girlfriend last weekend. Great room, fantastic location and awesome food. Mainly though, the visitor experience is outstanding because the staff are so fantastic. Front of house, maintenance, bar and cleaning staff went out of their way to help us. Particular thanks to Kamil and Javier for their friendliness and outstanding customer service. The TV in our room stopped working and after the maintenance guy confirmed it was dead we got moved to an even better room with no drama. Thanks a lot for making our experience so relaxing and fun, will definitely be back soon ;)
