Mustafa Kemal Ataturk

Ataturk stands just outside the bazaar and the marina. A lo Ely statue showing the founder of Turkey as we know it. Imposing and lovely to get a photo of.

This is one of the most visible and prominent statues of turkey. I was extremely fortunate to have been able to visit Marmaris in September of 2011. Needless to say it changed by life. Marmaris is one of the most beautiful stunning places on earth and I am so lucky and privileged to be able to visit this little gem, as the great Kemal Ataturk said, as I have tattooed on my arm; Peace at home, Peace in the world. It speaks for itself; amazing county, amazing people.

It is located on the marina. Just make a beautiful walk from your hotel at night and enjoy all the views on your way there. A big statue worth taking a look at and close to lits of attractions.

The statue is situated in the middle of the town centre with interesting quotes. You can all take a walk down the marina and visit shops and restaurants

I was not sure what to expect here as it was 'bigged' up by the tour rep. It was just a statue in the town with flags around it. Situation was great as it was by the port in the start of the town

This lovely statue stands looking out over one of the busiest parts of Marmaris, near the entrance to the bazaar. If you walk down either the main street or along the very pleasant seaside promenade you cannot miss it. I always picture Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who is revered in Turkey, smiling as he watches the many visitors to his country go by. He seems to have a twinkle in his eye as he surveys the scene!

What a great man and so forward thinking,he rates with all of the great men of the world.The Turkish people have him to thank for the great country he has help create

visiting the statue of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk is amazing. when i first visited it. some really nice Turkish man came up to me and was telling me the history about him, and how proud Turkish people are of him, and how they celebrate what he did every year and his death etc. now i pass that on to people when i'm walking past and i over hear them wondering what he is all about. wonderful !!

Really interesting statue located perfectly if you are looking to go shopping or for food and drinks as restaurants are 10 minutes walk away into the harbour. The statue is in great condition with no graffiti on it surrounded by Turkish flags making the statue noticeable from distance if you are walking or lost.

We decided to go for a walk towards the bazaar when we stumbled across the statue of ataturk and it’s a very nice statue with clean area and it was very well designed. Worth a selfie with him.
