Sandwiched between the dramatic ridges of Mount Babadag, Butterfly Valley is a perfect spot for trekking, with lush vegetation, awe-inspiring views, stunning sunsets, and of course, an endless variety of butterfly species. To escape the crowds visit in the morning or evening. You can even stay the night—the valley has a free camping site, and there are glamping facilities and a bar on the beach. The hike down to the beach can be challenging for some. Consider visiting as part a boat tour or chartering a boat taxi from Oludeniz. – Tripadvisor
Show more...My sister and I were meant to spend 2 nights in the valley but ended up there for 2 weeks. Though extremely hot the experience was unbelievable from watching counting the shooting stars at night to the beautiful silent sunsets. We met new lifelong friends, drank till late of night and listened to great tunes at the rockbar. Already have booked my next trip back to turkey and will stay at the valley for a month. Love this place!
Show more...We visited on our boat trip, so just a short stop. You can go on a Nature Trail for a small fee, suitable for families. Just take the sun screen and plenty of water. Really lovely and scenic.
Show more...Well, to start I would like to warn you: climbing up and down the wall is illegal and rather dangerous, so be aware of consequences. We were a brave company of 4 people: my son 2 years old, 60 y.o. granny, my pregnant wife and me (an amateur rock climber). We had absolutely no gear. For those outlaws of you: the route itself starts at George hostel and goes down after the viewpoint. Actually, I would rate as 4c-5a, it has three local ropes with knots and one wooden ladder. For people even with minimum training it causes no trouble at daylight and no rain. My time (with a baby in a backpack) was around 45 minutes. Had to pay 8 TL per person for entering the beach
Show more...This place is clearly overrated. We visited it in November, so it was the end of the season, and it was packed with people. I wouldn't even try to imagine what is going on here in the summer. The place itself is beautiful, but there are less crowded bays and beaches along the coast. I enjoyed Kabak and Paradise beach much more.
Show more...- First of all, you should remember that the butterflies are that kind of creatures that won't always wait for you to come. So, don't be disappointed when you come and see no butterflies, as it is simply not the time when they usually come there.
- Second, don't be surprised to see many people here, as there is already more then 1K reviews of this place. As the beach here is not very wide, as it is situated between two cliffs, the people coming here by boats, occupy the shore very quickly.
My opinion, this place definitely worth visiting, but only early in the morning, or late in the evening. Both time there is no many people. Don't even think of come here on foot - too hard and to long to do it. Best option is to hire your own boat.
The boat trip was amazing. We really enjoyed it(Turkish traditional music, lunch meal), but first stop was the butterfly valley. We walked more than 20 minutes and can be quite dangerous if you don’t have proper shoes, but no butterflies

You will not see butterflies here, but you will see chickens and geese :)
But you love this place as do I. It's an awesome place! You can swim here and also see the waterfall at the end of the canyon. I know you can spend the night here in a bungalow or a tent.
We stopped here on our boat tour trip. It is a beautiful spot but the beauty is somewhat hampered by the loud music from the bar here. Walked a little bit and saw the chickens and geese but for me it felt like a big disconnect between what is a beautiful area and a beach club.
Show more...we took a taxi boat to drop us there. This is the cheapest way to get there. it is a tiny beach with expensive food so bring your own. To enter the waterfall, it is an extra fee. the walk and view is nice , the waterfall had almost no water.
people loved it , for me it was a nice way to spend the day but nothing special.

We came here because it was popular and we regret it. I do not recommend this place to those who will arrive by the sea. We could not find a spot to relax on the beach. Tour boats park on one half of the beach and make it almost impossible to swim. The water on the other half was dirty and we took care not to put our heads in the water while swimming. The cooperative boat costs 50 TL. If you say let's enter the valley to see some butterflies, the entrance to the path is 8 TL and god knows how long you have to walk to see any. If I come again, I will reach the valley by land and watch the view from above. I do not recommend this place to those who want to put up a tent and live a bohemian life.
