Show more...We had some friends staying with us and was looking for something to do to kick start the day and this was perfect.
Our host was amazing and explained the game very well. We even got a complimentary beer.
Played The Illuminati Room and escaped with 10 minutes to spare.
Our friends were really impressed and had never done anything like that before.
It was such a brilliant, brilliant laugh.
Highly recommended.
Thank You Exit Strategy. X
Best experience ever!!!! Like a real life crystal maze!! Will definitely be returning for the second room in the summer.
The hosts were really friendly too, would recommend to everyone.
Good group exercise
This review could have been 4* but the whole thing felt a little haphazard and underprepared, and at 40 minutes escape with too many clues, felt unrewarding and like we were being rushed through to exit.
Nostromo room
Firstly, the introduction to the room was full of provisos and pre-apologies for things that may not work, and the set-up really didn't put you into the scenario you're supposed to be in.
The door to the room didn't even close, nevermind lock. Some may think this is a bit trivial, but the whole point is to 'escape',
The suspension of disbelief was so much harder as a result of this and made so much worse by the room operator having to actually come into the room to give us props and in some cases reveal answers to clues that we would had solved only to find out that a fault prevented us from getting the answer required. In others, the clues didn't not make any sense at all (FAO the manager - the chain puzzle)
There were some excellent puzzles which made sense, had a logical flow within the scenario and gave good deal of satisfaction when solving, and there was a good level of humour within the room.
In summary, a room with a lot of potential, and with some attention to detail, less abstract puzzles, and better preparation there would be less need to spoon feed clues it could be excellent.
Came to visit on my 21st birthday as escape rooms are a massive hobby of mine, and I have to say I was disappointed with this one, our host who was a guy with black curly hair didn’t seem bothered that we was there or the fact it was a party, he didn’t want to talk to us and it was obvious, we arrived 5 minutes late due to traffic and finding the place and he told us that he still needed to reset the game, which I thought was unprofessional, in the room there was only one puzzle that stood out to me which I won’t give away, the rest were all old and battered, there was a puzzle at the end that we just didn’t get, the host came in our game and congratulated us, to which we said we haven’t finished the room yet, he then tried to work out the last puzzle and he was just as confused as we were, he then told us how to finish the game and we asked if we could do it ourselves, he walked out and left the door open, when we came out, he didn’t speak to us for 5 minutes while he just messed about with stuff behind the counter, we then had to ask him for a picture of us, which to this hasn’t been uploaded which I would of wanted as it was my birthday, I think theres better quality escape rooms out there and this is probably the worst one I’ve been too.
Show more...We booked for Saturday Morning 10.30 (A bit early for my liking, but what the hell!), and after a few pints the night before, this certainly sobered me up! There were 4 of us who went in, and within a minute we were frantically searching around the room for clues. Everything was so well laid out and organised. Not too easy, not too difficult if you actually THINK about things. Unfortunately my hangover seemed to prevent this so we relied on a few clues from the guys who run the game. Which were very welcome at the time
A great way to spend an hour of your day, a lot of fun, and it does make your mind think. Really good background story to the game and I would recommend this to anyone who likes problem solving and testing your brain.
The owner mentioned that they will be opening up more rooms, and hopefully they do! I will be the first to book and have another go at finding my way out.
For those who want to know, we didn't quite make it. One minute more and we would have done it!
We were in a group of 4 - 2 in their 20s & 2 49 plus & this made a great team. Our theme was "Conspiracy theories " & we started off really well & had cracked 2 codes in the first 15 minutes. However, we then hit a brick wall & eventually "escaped" with just 4 minutes to go. We all agreed that it was very tough & challenging but if you enjoy puzzles & anything that requires lateral thinking then a trip to "Exit Strategy" could be for you. It cost £12.50 per person & we could choose a beer or a soft drink. Excellent experience & I can't wait to do another one.
Show more...Best thing to do in Liverpool that doesn't involve sitting in a bar. Brings out your competitive edge - great for couples or groups. Really gets you thinking outside the box.
Show more...Had a brilliant day in here! Gets your mind working! Staff were very friendly! Would recommend to try out
Show more...This was our first time at Exit Strategy at it won't be the last. We played The Illuminati room and it was brilliant. The atmosphere and room setup was brilliant. The puzzles were challenging but not to difficult. We escaped. Overall a really enjoyable game and we'll be back soon to play the other room. The staff here were really pleasant and friendly too and it was nice to be welcomed with complimentary drinks when we arrived. Would totally recommend it to anybody. See you again soon.

I did the Illuminati Room first which was amazing, there were six of us and the room was amazing. There was a lot going on, not sparse like some of the rooms you see.
Show more...The Space themed room we did on another occasion was pretty disappointing in comparison. Would really recommend the Illuminati room but hope they update the Space one soon!
Great value, cheapest escape room I've even been to!
