GamEscape is a real - live room escape game in Liverpool. An interactive logical game which is great fun and a fantastic experience for groups, families, students, friends and corporate teams. A team consisting of 2-5 people is “locked-up” in a themed room. The goal is simple, find the way out in less than 60 minutes from our rooms.

So amazing and frustrating at the same time. We loved it! The clues were excellent yet we were not! We didn't make it out in time but we're already looking at dates to book for their second room at Gamescape. This is a really great attraction that tests your knowledge and skills. Amazing time! :)

We went as a group of 3 and failed to escape (was nearly there!!) very well planned and the hour goes so quick. If you want a fun activity I would definitely recommend Gamescape.

From the outside, you would have no idea what lies inside. I've done escape rooms all over the world - UK, Spain and Greece and this certainly ranks with the very best I've played. The set decoration was immersive and well themed throughout and the pre and post game briefing was well explained and really built the excitement. For the price paid, I'd highly recommend this to both new and experienced escapees! We played the "End of the World" scenario and without giving too much away, I'd recommend you give it a try - the bunker feeling of the room was great and the tips (when needed) were clear without being obvious, which showed that the "external observer" was attentive and helpful. I visited with my wife and parents (both getting on 60+) and we all enjoyed it.

Booked to go on this escape game due to an offer on a voucher website. Discussed my booking over the phone and put booked two games in over a two day period. One was booked for an evening slot. We turned up (it is in the middle of a residential area) and the place was completely closed. I kept trying to call both that evening and the next morning prior to the second game with no answer, I had to go to the building to find anyone. At this point I found out that the company had gotten both dates and times wrong.
Eventually following a lot of hassle they realised their mistake and said that they had double booked. Even though I had booked six weeks in advance they refused to allow us to take any slot in the morning. There was no real apology just an offer for us to redeem one of our vouchers in the evening when we already had plans.
This company is unreliable - do not book with them. There are several other escape games in a better location (less distant from the centre and transport links) that provide more interesting games. Customer service is abysmal and they are uncontactable for the majority of the day.

Pretty poor to be honest.

There is no storey really and the theme and decor makes no sense. It's more like they found an old office room, got some puzzles and tried to force them into a badly assembled story; in which they use a wizard angle that pretty much means they can go where they like and justify it due to "magical powers" etc.

The story is all over and makes no logical sense so is irrelevant to any working out. There are scientific sections wth chemicals, roman numeral sections, wizard themed sections and blind work sections all in one room, as opposed to spreads crossed themed rooms.

The location is on the outskirts of town down a funky looking side road, but this wasn't really an issue but I wouldn't want to leave my car there too long.

My main issues with the game is it simply doesn't work. I've completed all of the games at Breakout and have played Escape Games in France, Croatia and all over the UK sometimes failing but always seeing where we went wrong if we did fail; but in terms of playability this one is the worst, and even though we failed by 3 mins because of a problem with one of the puzzles which they hadn't assembled properly (they forgot to put a key back so we wasted 15 mins searching before they slid it under the door); afterward we were looking at the woman who "explained" what we should of done, staring at her blankly thinking, who in there right mind would have assembled the random required objects to weigh them in a certain manner to generate a weight that we had to add to a Roman numeral to open a safe All of which you had to somehow work out yourself as it bore no logic to the story or what you had done previously and there was no instruction to do so?!

Also a playability issue is that the creators are From Easten Europe so there are some problems with the language translation first and form emosh which make the game hard but not deliberately and cleverly hard, mistakenly hard. For one of the combination locks you have to count the "jewels". What they really meant was jewellery, alas your counting the stones in a necklace as opposed to counting the necklace as one item an

Letters you are told to find are also written in strange fonts where a "T" could be an "I" or an "L" etc meaning there is not so much solving pizzles as guess work.

The rooms are also really poorly lit so when u do a puzzle or get a clue you am have to run to the window to read them.

I wouldn't bother with it, go to Breakout instead. Much better!

That was a great time in Liverpool , a fabulous experience in Gamescape. We did the prison cell, which was a challenge to our team, but at least we successfully got out. We loved it.

The escape game was lots of fun. The puzzles and challenges were great, getting you to think laterally and work as a team. There were fab cryptic clues to solve and I loved finding the hidden room. I can't wait to do another escape game.

Have done breakout in liverpool (and succeeded!). In would say gamescape is a bit easier but is really good to do as a family. We all really enjoyed it and broke out with 10 minutes spare. It's great to have something to do as a family, where everyone is involved and all enjoy it.

Visited this yesterday as my wife suggested it and it was really good. We did the prison challenge and almost cracked it but needed a few more minutes.
Would highly recommend doing this as it is fun, interesting and something different. We will go again and try the other challenge soon. You can do as a pair but it would also be fun with a group.

Such a cool experience, we're definitely going back to do the other room! I wish they had more!!! The clues are really good, and I like that you get hints slid under the door when you're really stuck! The room was really well laid out and felt real!
