The hotel and room were lovely, but there were some small inconveniences that colored our experience. We couldn't get service at the Piano Bar, even though it was empty. There was only one towel for our room and we had to chase one down because the staff member who was supposed to bring it up forgot. We got the impression that we weren't "good enough" for good service.

We held a 300 + person charity function in the Grand Ballroom and can't thank the entire conferencing & banqueting team enough for all the hassle free assistance. Nothing was an issue from the planning of the event to the last minute dietary requests. Thanks you to everyone involved from the Food & beverage, to the office team and all the staff behind the scenes to make these event run without hassle & grief. :)

The hotel was beautiful, very clean, and very central. I'm so glad we booked it. Check out was at 12, so much better than previous hotels. We didn't eat at the Europa, but the menu looked good and very well priced. The staff were very friendly and helpful 🙂 We would definitely recommend and hopefully be back soon.

We are frequent visitors to the Europa Hotel. Every time we visit - and we do multiple times each year - our experience is always special. During our most recent visit (checking out on 28 February 2024), while checking out my partner was not feeling well. We asked if there was the possibility of booking a room for one additional night. This was absolutely no problem, and we were given the same excellent rate we had from the previous night. To top it off, we were given access to the room right away, so that my partner could lie down. The receptionist was so helpful and empathetic, I was absolutely blown away by her. As I said, our experience at the Europa is invariably excellent, however this time I feel like the hotel staff went way above and beyond to facilitate us. I look forward to the next occasion when we can make it to Belfast, and the Europa hotel for another few days of luxury and a quality experience.

We spent three nights at the Hotel Europa on our first trip to Belfast in early November 2023, as a group of four adults in two rooms. The location of the hotel was as good as could be expected. We arrived by plane at George Best airport and caught a taxi to the hotel which was quick and easy. I can’t remember the price as we took turns to pay for taxis and that one was paid by the other couple that we travelled with. A big disappointment was the huge lines at check in. We arrived mid-afternoon, and stood for at least half an hour in line, which is far too long for a hotel of this calibre in my opinion. When we finally got checked in our rooms were ready, thank goodness. We had booked two Executive King rooms and both of them were on a high floor as requested and very nicely set up. They had good large king size beds, two comfortable chairs, and a very nice bathroom after some of the dark dingy ones we had had so far on this trip. The shower was separate from the bath which we prefer. They also had tea and coffee making facilities, robes and slippers and air conditioning. After unpacking and a quick explore of the local area, we returned to the hotel for pre-dinner drinks in the Piano Bar. This bar was one of the reasons why we booked this hotel, we love a good bar and one with live music is even better. Unfortunately, the pianist wasn’t playing pre-dinner and would be back after dinner, which was disappointing. We then went to dinner, and returned for a nightcap, only to be told that the pianist was finished for the evening. Breakfast was excellent with a very good array of products including Irish Soda Bread, the usual hot and cold buffet and also Irish oats with Bushmills whiskey and cream. This was a once off treat, but very nice. After a private day tour, we again returned to the Piano Bar, but this time couldn’t get a table as it was full of women who were at the hotel for some sort of women’s award dinner. We returned once again after dinner and got a seat and ordered drinks. The service was ridiculously slow and again we were told that the pianist had gone home. On attempting to use the ladies’ toilets in the bar on the Saturday evening, I discovered that they were full of drunk women who had been vomiting in the toilets. None of this had been cleaned, so again we left and returned to our very nice rooms. I really think the bar service and the cleaning service was seriously lacking this Saturday evening. On our final night, Sunday, it was the same situation. We went for pre-dinner drinks and no pianist. We enquired what time they would return and play to and was told that it would be 10pm. We had a very quick dinner close to the hotel and were back by 9pm only to be told that the pianist was unwell and had gone home early! While the hotel was lovely, we probably would have stayed elsewhere but the Piano Bar was a deciding factor in our decision to stay. It was beyond disappointing to have stayed three nights and not once heard live music. Presumably they had it in the afternoons, but of course we were out in the daytime sightseeing.

I enjoyed the hotel. The room was lovely, although I was was a bit wary of the glass door to the bathroom as it could lead to an accident. I got the glass bathroom door handle tangled with the glass shower door.
