Holiday Inn Cambridge, an IHG Hotel

Spent 9 days in the conference facility delivering a national training qualification. In general, the overall rating was very good, but what made it definitely 5-star was the contribution of one member of staff in particular. Maria was uniformly excellent and beyond superb in everything. What a credit to the organisation.

I booked rooms for five to stay 16 May for 3 nights. It was a special reunion as the girls were celebrating knowing each other for 60 years, we all started work at the company at the same time. On behalf of all of us, we would like to say a big thank you for making our stay really enjoyable. Everyone in the team that we met made us feel welcome, always smiling whatever the question! Who can forget my change of room but forgetting some clothes in the transfer!! Thank you for your tolerance and sense of humour. Then asking for a TV to be turned off in the lobby – again, it was no problem. Also our numerous requests for a taxi – again, no problem, and it arrived promptly. One of our party enjoyed the swimming pool, we all enjoyed the space to sit in the evening over a glass of something, chatting and playing cards whilst not feeling the place was crowded. The breakfasts and dinner was very nice and the former certainly enough to set you up for the day. And it was good for one of our party who was able to park her car free of charge. It was a nice hotel to return to and relax after a day of activities in the city. So thank you very much – I would rather send this direct than a generic review for IHC. I will certainly recommend your hotel.

Didn't stay at the hotel as I attended a two week course with Phoenix training in the Churchill suite. Staff throughout were friendly and helpful. Catering was very good from pastries and cookies for our breaks to the lunches. Maria was exceptional in looking after our group. She went above and beyond in ensuring we had everything we needed. I can't thank her enough. She's a real credit to the hotel.

We were initially given a room which wasn’t prepared to a good standard. But when we went and told this to reception, we were given a much better more spacious room. The customer service was top notch and he was very helpful. Nikhil (staff) helped us out a lot with this.

This is now on 4th stay at this Hotel. And we just love staying here. As the all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. And the hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere, which suits us. This time we would also like to say a big thank you to the Manager Nikhil- who took extra good care of us, as we had a hospital appointment, so he let us check in slightly earlier, which made all the difference. Along with the food they serve at their bar. So delicious. Thank you and we will be staying again.

It was a very nice experience at this hotel! At the reception we met Nadia, who helped us a lot! She is a very friendly person, she gives you the necessary information for everything you need, kind and it was a pleasure to know her! We will come back with love next time!

The staff are all very friendly and helpful one lady named Ana Azevedo was especially cheerful even when it seemed she was under pressure serving numerous people .me and my partner often visit the hotel for a meal which is always cooked and served to our extreme satisfaction

We had a lovely meal in the holiday inn All staff were very helpful and friendly Ana Azevedo was so kind and welcoming. I'm a spirit member and we often go out for a meal in the evening and I have coffee with friends and family. It's really comfortable and plenty of space for relaxing and dining

I would like to acknowledge the great service by Maria in the conference department during our business meeting in the Darwin meeting room. It was a very busy day and although she was the only conference member available she was on hand to look after us as well as the other meetings :)

We arrived at check-in and the operative asked if we had paid for car parking yet. I said not yet and asked for the best way of sorting it out. Her colleague came across and said "if you become an IHG member it will be free". I said please go ahead and enroll me. After a few key strokes I was told my membership was sorted out and I would get an email overnight. The email didn't arrive but I checked with the front desk next morning and before we left and was told "not to worry about it". Subsequently I have received 3 x £100 parking fines, one for each day we stayed. I can't talk to the hotel, they are just shielded by the reservations desk in USA. Take a look at other hotels before considering this one.
