Show more...Staff all very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of options. We were in the Tower Suite which was a big room with a mezzanine. Bottom room was big but very basic. This is where the kettle is situated and the only mirror. Bed was on mezzanine and that is where the bathroom was. Not ideal as if you were filling up kettle with water you had to navigate a good few steps and if even slightly infirm this would be a problem especially if holding a full kettle of water. Having the only mirror downstairs was also not the best as a mirror could easily be put upstairs in the bedroom to make things much easier. There was complimentary slippers and dressing gown which was a nice touch. Shower was warm and powerful which was a surprise given such an old building. There is a tram stop right across the road from hotel so easy to get into the centre of town All in all although an upgraded room - Id not bother as it was basic. Staff were all exceptionally nice and food excellent. Situation ideal too would certainly go back and recommend
Show more...We had a delightful night we stayed in The Balmoral Suite which is a lovely room, we found to the bed and the room in general very spacious and comfortable. On arrival we were greeted at reception by Tristan more or less immediately, he was extremely professional, polite and checked us in swiftly. The room was extremely clean, the sea view is always a highlight for me. Breakfast was very pleasant, I would also like to recognise the lady who runs the breakfast shift, she is so very pleasant and efficient. I will look forward to going to Blackpool in the future and staying at the hotel. Thanks to the team for their generous hospitality.
Show more...Excellent 3 day stay in room 315, very clean & spacious seaview room. Stunning old hotel. Food was excellent, plenty to choose from in the morning for breakfast from full English to full continental, cereal fresh fruit. No.10 bar was excellent for snacks would recommend the fish fingers butty. Service was 1st class from check-in to checking out. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.
Show more...We have just returned from this beautiful historic charming hotel after staying 2 nights visiting a magician’s conference. The hotel is in a great location and my room 225 had a great sea view. The staff in the hotel were all friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble for any of them, a real credit to the hotel. The food is fabulous, fresh and tasty, we ate both breakfasts and dinners and can highly recommend. I must mention one staff member in particular Amanda one of the managers, who after we had a small problem with the room was very quick and efficient in sorting it out and we thank her for her professionalism. I would highly recommend if you are visiting Blackpool then the Imperial is a great choice of hotel. Thanks Robbie
Show more...Lovely building from the outside but very dated inside. Staff friendly enough and the food was ok nothing exciting. Strange that you have to pay for parking when you’re a resident. We booked direct and were not told about this. Large carpark and it was difficult to find a space.
Show more...This is our 2nd weekend break staying again at this Impressive hotel. We've had a twin room. The beds are extremely comfortable, the room has bath/shower & good supply of hot water & tea/coffee facilities. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. We've only had breakfast with our stay, which is buffet style, but we must say is with a good selection and the tastiest ever.
Show more...Stayed here recently for a business trip. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful but the hotel needs a lot spending on it. The in room facilities are extremely basic. My room was quite draughty with the wind hurling through the old frames. Probably won't stay again. Convenient location
Show more...Just back from the most relaxing stay at this hotel. If you’re looking for sleek lines, bright and minimalist this is NOT the hotel for you. If you’re looking for traditional authentic characteristic clean warming and welcoming, this is the treasure you’ve been looking for. Over the past twenty years, we’ve stayed in a variety of rooms, but this visit tops the lot. Two bedroom suite and it was everything and more we expected. Breakfast is buffet with an amazing selection of hot and cold delights. Only one moan - we like to eat in the hotel on the first and last evening, however the menu hasn’t changed in years, so although we know the food is good- this time we never ate our evening meal in the hotel at all.
Show more...Stayed here, with my wife, for three nights for the chess tournament. We had room 328, which was lovely (a step up from rooms we have had here in previous years) with great views across the prom to the sea. I don't often have a full English breakfast at home, so it's always a lovely treat to have one when away - and The Imperial breakfast does not disappoint! Loads to choose from (including fried bread!). Breakfast did get busy on our second two mornings - largely because there were maybe a couple of hundred members of a youth orchestra(?) staying. However we were seated really quickly and not delayed really in getting our food. And I have to say that the youngsters of the orchestra were impeccably behaved and a credit to their parents and the orchestra (and it's not often you can say that about so many youngsters gathered together!) All the staff we encountered were excellent. The bar food was really nice, if a little expensive. We had one evening meal in the restaurant which was very good too. I can't quite give five stars because of a few small issues: Both our room passes stopped working (my wife's twice and mine once - and we hadn't kept them next to our phones) so we had to go down to reception to get them reset. Our room wasn't serviced on one day. I had been in the room withe Do Not Disturb sign on for about 30 minutes at lunchtime. When I came out the cleaner was at the room next door and I let her know that my room was free now, but when I arrived back four hours later the room had still not been done. On the evening we ate in the main restaurant, we arrived just prior to our time of 18:45, had our drinks and bread rolls delivered and food order taken. Almost an hour later our food had still not arrived, at which point the waiter arrived and apologised that there had been a computer glitch and our food would be with us very soon. By way of recompense we were given our drinks on the house, which was fine and I think fair enough, but we were very, very hungry by the time the food arrived (which was delicious). Overall though, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation coming again.

Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful with all the information you need on your stay. The only downside was when they explained about the car parking charge of £36 for 4 nights, took by surprise but worth it as £9 for 24hours. The room was absolutely amazing as we had a twin room and so much room.
