New Guilderoy Hotel Blackpool

From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, We were treated amazingly. We arrived mid afternoon and was given the keys to our room. The room was so nice. A 4 poster bed and the theme was Paris. I loved it. We had a tea/ coffee machine which was good. Tv, Iron, Hairdryer plus a shaving point in the bathroom. Our friends had joined us as did my neighbour and her mum. There is a room downstairs with a microwave, plates and cutlery if needed. There’s also a tv in the lounge area plus another tv with a beautiful seating area with tv/ karaoke plus darts. Plenty to do in this place. We did venture out every day. We were given directions to the tram which was only a few minutes walk. We paid £18 for the tram but that was for 4 of us but does do 5 all day trams. Back to the accommodation and first night we slept good. We went down for breakfast and it was amazing. A full English breakfast but you also had fruit or cereals to choose from. Also tea/ coffee. Orange or apple juice and on New Year’s Day we had Prosecco. The hosts certainly go out there way to make your stay so good. If I was coming back I’d definitely choose this place.

Amazing hotel , great food , nothing too much trouble , oh and the bed was the comfiest i have ever slept on Well done Simon and Rhona you are the best 5stars all round will see you again inthe spring

This was an awful hotel. The room had not been cleaned properly. We found a dirty pair of underpants under a chair and a half used sandwich in the fridge. The main complaint was that the radiator was not working and the replacement was inadequate. The electical plugs were all on extension leads and there was no fire notices on the door. We switched everything off at night as we didn't feel safe. The bathroom had no heater and so was freezing cold. This is the first review that I have done. We left a day early as it was such an awful experience.

We stayed three nights & enjoyed a comfortable bed, nice shower unit, & a substantial full English breakfast. Tasteful decor & stair lifts on both stairways. For me a bonus! Lovely hosts who are helpful, friendly, & go the extra mile to accommodate needs. Thank you so much. It was home from home for us. We will see you again next year.

Superb hotel and friendly hosts, the hotel is ideally located with a tram stop less than five mins away and it a quiet area but fully five mins tram ride away from the central area. The rooms are unique in there decor which highlights the style of Simon and Rhona, who are super friendly hosts and knowledgeable about the local area , we dropped out bags of early and this was not a problem. Your free to come and go as you please and the hospitality is first class. Booking direct saves you money also 😄

Very welcoming, hotel lovely, traditional decor with Philippine touches! Lovely breakfast, enjoyed our little stay (2nights). Bit tight on the stairs with stair lift which is handy for people with walking difficulties.

Yet again another fantastic stay at the New Guilderoy Hotel Blackpool and it is all down to the lovely owners Rhona and Simon. Rooms are spotless and the food is fantastic. Can't wait to go again next year

Absolutely top notch hosting from Rhona and Simon, from the moment you step through the door to the moment you leave they are 100% attentive. The rooms are spotless and the bedding pristine, located in the quieter north area this place is definitely a diamond of a find, so warm and cosy, the breakfast which is included was perfect, also a selection of fruits, yogurts,cereals, juices etc. Exceptional value for money. We would highly recommend, you really do feel like you arrive a guest but leave as friends. Thankyou for going that extra mile Rhona and Simon it really was appreciated.

Stayed for the weekend in the adjoining family room and a double. Both rooms spotless with everything you need. Kids loved the play station in their room. You would struggle to find a better breakfast. The bacon is the thickest we’ve ever had and the sausage is lovely. Fantastic hosts who clearly work very hard to give guests a really great stay. Thankyou, will definitely be back

Very friendly welcome from Rhona. Guest house quirky and old fashioned but that added to the charm. It’s in a historic building and there is a brochure in the room telling you all about it’s history and Rhona and Simons past and future plans. Room on first floor perfect for us with comfy twin beds, nice shower room and very quiet. For stays 4 nights or less there is no room attendance but I am sure Rhona would be happy to supply fresh towels etc if needed. Breakfast was beautiful- cooked to order and served in pleasant breakfast room. We were tired one evening and stayed in. There is a residents lounge with huge tv, dining room and a snug. We ordered a takeaway from one of the many menus provided and Rhona was happy to provide us with crockery and cutlery and even tidied up our dishes. Location wise it’s 5 minutes walk to the seafront and The Cliffs tram stop or a 30 minute stroll to the North Pier. The 3 nights flew by and I would definitely stay again.
