Show more...From the second we arrived we were made feel so welcome. Nothing is too much bother for the staff. The hotel itself is immaculate. The way they treat family and make kids feel welcome is unsurpassed. We have stayed in Brown’s Hotel London every year for the past few years and have been impressed… it’s been completely replicated in Edinburgh. Well done Sir Rocca Forte you can run a hotel!!!!
Show more...Has the most luxurious overnight with added family lunch (surprise) got upgraded to a junior suite. Staff throughout the hotel were amazing, friendly & very welcoming. Room was spotless and turn down service great, all the little details catered to. From entrance to the hotel to every member of staff could not fault anyone. Sunday lunch was very attentive for a group of 10. Certainly would recommend
Show more...A wow experience all round. The standards at some Hotels have not recovered from Covid times but this was perfection. A really lovely room with walk in wardrobe, marbled Bathroom and everything you could wish for. We got turned down! We had super handmade fudge. The warmest welcome ever. Beautifully attired staff in tweed and nothing was any trouble at all. Fantastic. And the Chef and kitchen. I cannot say anything but you just have to experience it for yourself. Old world courtesy, service and style. Felt thoroughly spoiled all round.
Show more...The Balmoral is hands down the most extraordinary hotel I've ever stayed. Besides the fact that it is stunning (lobby, bathrooms, tea room, guest rooms, etc.), the staff goes above and beyond to make guests feel so welcome. Jan put together the best itinerary to make our visit to Edinburgh memorable. The extra special touches for children-- cookies and milk, teddy turn down, etc.-- were simply over the top. There is truly not a luxury hotel that can match the service received when staying at The Balmoral. It may have been our first trip there, but it most certainly will not be our last!
Show more...The building is nice and the location very convenient. Everyone was very polite. The food needs a lot of improvement especially the room service quality of food. Breakfast was better but again can be improved. The buffet was nicely set. Bar had nice drinks but can also be improved. Some drinks are better with big ice blocks instead of small ice cubes that melt and make the drink watery.
Show more...Lovely relaxing overnight stay in centre of Edinburgh. Hotel was warm and very welcoming and friendly. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Lots of sights to see and shops within a few minutes. Would highly recommend
Show more...The Balmoral feels like a home away from home, it has a very friendly atmosphere. The public areas are cozy and beautifully decorated. The staff really does everything they can to make you feel welcome and relaxed. They made this stay a dream come true. It was my birthday present and it felt like this birthday lasted the whole 5 days. I would like to thank the staff for this, in particular Desiree from the reception (always smiling and friendly). She organized the upgrade we asked for to a room with a view to the castle. This room was beautiful, light and spacious and decorated in soft tones. It immediately felt good. The cleaning service is also worth an extra compliment and taken care of in every detail. Especially those little details often made us smile. This stay meant a lot to us and we enjoyed it immensely. We will definitely come back.
Show more...We loved our stay here! The facilities (especially the gym is like new) and service were superb. We truly felt taken care of which is exactly how you want to feel when on vacation. We stayed in a suite in the first night which was extremely spacious and then switched over to a smaller room with castle view. Both were nice however we enjoyed the room with the view more.
Show more...Expectations exceeded on our visit. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was just perfect. Concierge was brilliant upon arrival, taking our luggage and parking the car, all done swiftly and without fuss. Reception excellent and so the very first interactions continued perfectly throughout our stay. I would say every member of staff were 10 out of 10, no weak links in the system and so the service continued at a perfect level from start to finish. The detail is incredible, I mentioned I would be meeting a friend later just in passing, but then when he arrived they told him they were aware we were to meet up and looked after him. A solid performance from all the staff from a busy City centre hotel. Top of their game, and every member of staff being on it shows the high level of management and staff involved.

World Class 💫 Got married in Edinburgh last weekend and my first port of call was to The Balmoral, this is a very unique place to visit. I have spent many years working in 5 💫 properties in Ireland & i can guarantee without doubt that this property is world class. Everything about this hotel oozes class, Giovanni Cassino and his wonderful team spoilt us the afternoon that we were there, the cocktails, the food & champagne were truly amazing. I think all the staff should be very proud of themselves i cannot wait to visit on my return to Scotland this is a magical place, Many thanks for this wonderful experience.
