We stayed in Glasshouse in January 2024…It is excellent and good quality place to stay☺️ Very pleasant and memorable experience..Especially would like to mention concierge Jonathan , he is so amazing 👍🏻 Just made our trip much better by arrangement of romantic surprise and his charisma)) The hotel is beautiful by itself, reception looks great and associates welcome you with prosecco 😎 Room was not so spacious but very clean and tidy.. Bar lounge is luxurious))! The huge drawback of Glasshouse is breakfast, it was quite poor..limited options, food was cold.. In overall I recommend to stay 🤩
Show more...If you want to fall into luxury, stay here. They provide Rita Carlton service at Marriott prices. After a brutal 24-hour flight, we were overtired and running on empty. We had nothing left to give. We were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco at check-in. Our luggage was escorted in by, what I believe is the next best person to happen to the hospitality industry, Harry. He asked permission to take us to our room through the amazing gardens. He told us about the restaurant and the whisky tasting. We got a coupon for two free drinks, including deeply aged whisky. He showed us all the amenities of our room. Normally we find bellhops an intrusion but his style was so comfortable and welcoming, like having a family member show us to our room in the family mansion. And amenities there were. Down pillows, heated bathroom floor, heated towel rack, exceptional lighting, a sizable walkout porch, a comfortable bed, a great shower head, free honor bar, darkening curtains, lighted closets, and dim automatic lights in the bathroom for nighttime use. I mean come on! I wanted to cry. After the trip we had! It was amazing! Our room was very close to the bar and restaurant which was SO appreciated. We dropped our stuff, went for a much-needed drink, went back to unpack, and returned for dinner. We crawled into bed and slept 12 uninterrupted hours. Breakfast was in an elegant dining room. We opted for a late checkout. When we left we were offered another Prosecco or a piece of fudge. Completely lovely! Total client care. Awareness of customer needs. Stay here if you need some tender loving care. Stay here if you love service excellence. Just stay here.
Show more...This hotel is immaculately clean and the reception staff and concierge are so friendly and helpful, however that's where things slide after that. Our room was 113 with a stunning view of an office block and street food venue complete with noise of bins being taken out regularly. Thd room was clean and spacious but no sofa or bath despite booking.com stating that they were in our room. Huge hotel inside, got lost trying to get out. Mini bar nice touch with being complimentary. Only 2 teabags in the room and UHT milk!! It's a 5 star hotel supposedly so being served what could only be described as average breakfast which was luke warm and swimming in grease was not great. No offer of sauces to go with breakfast, soggy black pudding and a stale hard tatty scone. I didn't eat much. Continental.ok but not a huge choice. Staff didn't even ask if you enjoyed your food or check back to see if all OK. Unfortunately won't be staying again.
Show more...The hotel is beautiful from the outside and smells lovely as soon as you walk in. We arrived early and left our luggage at reception as we were going to shop first. We received a call to say we could check-in early which was a bonus. Special thanks to Harry on concierge who showed us to our room. The fire pit in the bar area is stunning. We enjoyed our stay but there are a few issues with maintenance that need addressing. We stayed in room 65. The room felt cold so we adjusted the heating and thought it would warm up after a while. We arrived back later in the evening and it was still very cold. Luckily the bed was nice and cosy. We reported it and the receptionist said she would have maintenance look at it. It was still cold when we got back the second evening. The bed was very noisy on the side my husband slept so every time he moved it made creaking noises. The bathroom door creaked every time you opened the door so woke us up when using the loo early morning. There was a tapping noise coming from the heating ventilation from 5am till 6am then it would stop. The door to the balcony did not close properly so maybe this is why the room was cold. We did inform reception of these minor problems as we left. It did not spoil our stay as we love Edinburgh but its a lot of money to be paying for a couple of nights.
Show more...Amazing in every respect... Truly 5 star... Staff and accommodations were exemplary... Breakfast was top rated for the money... Loved the unique rooftop garden suites... The lounge was exquisitely comfortable and had a good selection of Scotch whiskey....
Show more...What an outstanding experience and incredibly beautiful hotel! We were blown away by the customer service. Especially from Jonathon who made sure we were taken the absolute best care of. We were early For checking in and Jonathon gave us a different room and it had the most breathtaking views. He gave us superb advice on all the best places to go and see. Highly recommend!
Show more...Such a beautiful hotel. The room was very spacious and luxurious. It was well laid out and the bed was a good size for 2 tall adults. The bathroom was amazing, with a large bath and separate walk-in shower with underfloor heating. The breakfast was delicious. Quality ingredients and buffet. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Could not fault this hotel, definitely be returning.
Show more...Hotel beautiful and great central location. Jonathan the concierge is very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Rooms, garden and snug bar are delightful. Breakfast had great choice and was lovely. Able to check in to the room early which was a bonus
Show more...Stayed in Autograph Room no 83 for 4 nights. Incredibly quiet (it was next to heating /air con pipes but didn't trouble us) with view to Calton Hill. We loved the decor which felt comfortable, though for some it might feel a tad dated. Bed and pillows were superb. Big bathroom with fab bath and separate shower. Elemis toiletries replaced everyday. Housekeeping and cleanliness of room were faultless. Free mini bar a real plus. All complimentary drinks replaced daily. Hotel was welcoming from entry and a wonderful fresh smell. Harry, the concierge was exceptional in terms of his friendliness, knowledge and professional manner. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food. The Omni car park we used, which was a few minutes walk from the hotel, was a real deal breaker. Using the hotel discount code, it cost £12 a day to park in the most secure, cleanest and spacious car park, we've ever encountered. We absolutely will be returning later in the year, hopefully to the same room. We really enjoyed the relaxed vibe if the hotel.

The Glass House, Edinburgh was the perfect location for visiting Edinburgh for two days. It’s so close to Waverly Station and transportation throughout Scotland and then back to London. We are a family of four traveling with two teenagers so we booked 2rooms — for the teenage rooms we booked single beds, and for the adults we stayed in the Carlton rooms overlooking Carlton Hill. The hotel is stunning and historic with the façade of a church. Overall our stay was excellent and their customer service was delightful.
