Show more...We stayed in this hotel for two weeks in August during the fringe and we had stayed here also during our several earlier visits to Edinburgh. I can confidently say this is the best place to stay when in Edinburgh. The location is awesome: a stone throw away from Princess street Shopping but a quieter location being away from the crowds. It’s also close to the St. James Quarters Mall and Multrees Walk High Street Shops. The Andrew’s Square bus stop is right across. It’s the starting point for the hop-on and hop-off sightseeing buses and some intercity buses. The stop for the Skylink buses to Edinburgh Airport is just a block away. Edinburgh Bus Station is just two blocks away roughly. The Tram station is just across the St. Andrew’s Park in front of the hotel. The park also acts as a good place to hang around especially in the summers. There is also a Costa in there. Some excellent eating places are within less than two minutes of walk. This includes Dishoom the best Indian restaurant in Edinburgh and Bread Street Kitchen (a Gordon Ramsay restaurant). The rooms are pleasantly furbished and spacious enough (depending on the room type one chooses). The breakfast Buffett is pretty decent just that it never changes. So this becomes a bit boring for visitors who are staying for longer duration. The staff all across are extremely helpful, courteous and customer focused. I would especially like to call out and thank Samantha and Tatiana on front desk for all their support throughout our stay. They are always ready to walk some extra miles that can deliver customer happiness. And that’s the reason this hotel has almost become our permanent abode whenever we visit Edinburgh
Show more...Wonderful stay. Specially Mercedes was super helpful making our time in Edinburgh memorable. Hotel was clean and very easy to get to when staying in Edinburgh. All staff where courteous. Happy to stay again in future travels. A big thank you.
Show more...I can't recommend this hotel enough. It is centrally located within easy reach of everything. The staff are friendly, polite and efficient at all times. We booked a balcony room, which was so worth the extra money, with stunning views toward Princes Street on one side and the Firth of Forth on the other. Breakfast was continental style, well presented and plentiful. The Manager and his team are a credit to the Accor group.
Show more...The hotel staff Hercedes and Ilaria are very friendly and approachable. They take initiative to connect with customers. We are pleased with our stay. In addition, the bar offer free drink as our choice that is very generous gesture. We enjoy the live music by Jason in the evening from 8pm to 10 pm. Thank you everyone
Show more...Lovely experience staying at Ibis Styles St Andrew Sqare. Clean, modern, and welcoming personnel. Tatiana sorted out a very nice surprise for my birthday celebration weekend 🤌🤌 recommending staying here in the middle of Edinburgh, easy access from the airport, and within walking distance to everything 😊
Show more...Definitely the best Ibis I’ve ever stayed in. The team at reception was fantastic, especially Zsanett. The room was recently renovated and almost perfect. Only thing I would recommend is to put a lock on the bathroom door. Other than that I can’t recommend anything better. The location is good next to St Andrew's tram stop and the views on the balcony were exquisite. The continental breakfast was good and the gent that made the cappuccinos at the bar made a 10/10 drink.
Show more...Perfectly central location to walk all over! The staff was full of helpful recommendations and there are lots of restaurants nearby. You can expect a very comfortable bed and sheets, and a 10/10 breakfast that is above and beyond! Would definitely come back!
Show more...We visit Edinburgh around 3 times a year. This was our first visit to Ibis Styles and wow it didn’t disappoint. The location is fantastic right in St Andrews Square close to shops & within walking distance to Waverley station & the Royal Mile. Our room was on the 6th floor, recently refurbished & with a huge wrap around balcony affording us amazing views from the castle, Arthur’s Seat & out towards the Firth of Forth. As we stayed on a Sunday night we paid a reasonable rate for Edinburgh. Breakfast was buffet style continental. No hot items but choice was huge. Only regret was we were only there for one night but would definitely return.
Show more...This Hotel is located right in the midst of new town. We were able to explore this area, and its within walking distance to the Scott Monument and the Royal Botanical Gardens. But if you are a walker, this hotel is in walking distance of all the sights in Edinburgh. If you are are used to bigger rooms to lounge hours away in, you will have to take your lounging downstairs to the beautiful lobby/bar/restaurant area. The rooms are big enough to end the day, but too small to spend the day. But if you're in Edinburgh, then you shouldn't be spending the day in a hotel room. The Ibis is a stylish modern hotel with a focus on service and sustainability. They use larger bottles for toiletries and keycard-operated energy-saving measures in dedication to the environment. And the staff, I cannot compliment the staff enough. They offer supportive and attentive service to all guests. We were not going to make the breakfast on the day of our departure. The desk team offered us take away bags with pastries and fruit. One of us was gluten free. They made sure that we had a GF takeaway breakfast. While we waited for our taxi that morning, one staff member served us coffee and visited with us until we departed. I was sad to leave Scotland that day and the Ibis stay was just one of a million reasons.
