My husband and I stayed 1 night in this wonderful boutique hotel (wished we could be stayed longer). Of my 3 weeks in Turkiye this was by far my favorite place we stayed. The room had such charm and was clean and comfortable. The hosts were so welcoming and kind. We decided to have Turkish breakfast in the lovely restaurant before heading out to see the town. We are so glad we did! It was amazing…such great service and the best Turkish breakfast in the most beautiful garden with the magnolia tree and some lovely Turkish music! Rasul was amazing, he was so kind and attentive. Thank you so much. I will definitely be back! I highly recommend this place if you love Charm. And great service..

It was excellent. The host was so kind and friendly. They tried to make good memories while we were their guest. It will be my destination in my next trip to bursa. I recommend it to travelers to Bursa.

The owner managers of Kaleici Nurten and Ahmet Aydin make you feel like you are home with unmatched hospitality, delicious food with local favorites, and authentic ambiance. We have been spending New Year’s Eve here and staying overnight for the last couple of years. It has become a tradition. The new year’s eve menu has after midnight specials like tribe soup, roasted chestnuts, hot spiced wine (mulled wine) and more... Their brunch/breakfast is fantastic as well. You can find local flavors such as ‘pişi’ or ‘tahinli pide’ as part of the brunch. I strongly recommend this place whether it is just for brunch or dinner, of for an overnight stay. The hotel is walking distance to many historical places in Bursa which makes it ideal for tourists.

Nice and delicious food. The atmosphere is very warm and peaceful. Mr. Resul is polite and smiling. We went for dinner, service was smooth. I didn't see any rooms, so no comment on the rooms. Planning to go again.

Me and my two brothers were visiting Bursa to see around and friend. By mistake we stop at this great Butic hotel. I wish there were more stars to give. Ahmet and his wonderful wife showed us great Turkish and Bursa hospitality. Rooms are very clean and neat, breakfast is amazing, evening having meal under the historic magnolia tree took us back to centuries. I strongly recommend to every one.

This true gem of a boutique hotel, tastefully restored, is set well away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Everything was superb, and the management and staff did everything possible to ensure my stay was perfect. The bed, well, it was like lying on a cloud! The hotel is small, with only 7 rooms, but there is so much attention to detail. The restaurant serves a large choice of wonderful meals, and the staff see that you want for nothing. We sat by the wood burner in the dining room, and I can't wait until my next visit so I can sit out on the patio under the shade of the big, old, magnolia tree. Thank you Kale Ici, I will be back!

Kale Ici Otel appears to have an award winning combination of attributes, however, once my husband and I arrived at the hotel we found this was certainly not the case. We, much like the previous reviewers, also had a less than desirable experience, but perhaps in our case it went beyond the Faulty Towers into the sleepless and downright miserable. The initial reception and breakfast were exactly as the other reviewer described, confused and well below par for what one would expect for such a pricy hotel. But these problems seemed ok compared to the night we actually spent: We were offered a room in the courtyard (separate from the main building), which was lovely until sometime around 11pm (we had a long day and were sleeping soundly by then) the staff decided to build a bonfire in the courtyard directly outside our room to entertain a group of guests. This promptly filled our room with smoke which took us an hour or so to clear completely (with all windows and doors open). During this time my husband called the reception several times to inform them but they didn't seem to see it as a problem. They explained that they had had many fires in the past and no one had ever complained, so it must have been our fault for leaving the windows and doors open while we were sleeping (?!). The saga didn't end there. After the smoke cleared and we were settling down to finally get back to sleep, a few fellows took up residence on the small porch adjacent to our room and began smoking and talking loudly. I actually thought I was dreaming this part of the evening, but there was clear evidence in the ashtrays the next morning. Anyways, I probably wouldn't have written such a lengthy negative review if the owners/management of the hotel had bothered to show their faces the following morning to at least attempt to appease us. We called them but they appeared to be too busy for us and offered us no reparations. We were really looking forward to a relaxing stay, what a disappointment:(

This place should be a winning combination. A beatiful building restored with no expense spared in an interesting quiet part of town, with a lovely courtyard garden, goods views, and a short walk from all the main attractions. The staff, however, created an 'Fawlty Towers' experience, which would have been amusing if it hadn't been a relatively expensive place for two nights. The first night we were quite tired so decided to use the slightly expensive restaurant, in a very well designed extension next to the garden, and it was a very nice meal. However, we thought something was wrong, when (being the only guests) we asked if we could have the television switched off, which the staff were watching. The one that understood English, eventually turned the sound down, but they carried on watching it and eventually kept turning the sound up slightly, until by the end of the meal it was back to normal, and we skipped coffee and deserts. The list goes on, but the Manuel character that ran the breakfast service, rather than being rude, was just plain incompetant. Too many amusing errors to list, but it began by bringing tea without asking if we preferred coffee, most amusing was the table with four chiars, with a place setting between each pair of seats, so we had to start by rearranging the table. All smallish irritations which added to an overall poor experience. This place is nice enough to be busy out of season. Maybe a staff transplant (or even a little training) will solve the problem.
