Currently my favorite hotel in NYC. A fan of The Pendry, Equinox, and a few others, but for when I travel with my SO, this will be my go to. We're heading back for Valentine's Day and they were able to obtain an impossible reservation for us at a restaurant we've been trying to get into. The service across the board was top notch and I highly recommend this for a romantic getaway, ideally if you need to mix this with business in midtown.

Beautiful hotel. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Especially Tanbir. Beautiful crystals everywhere. Great location. Great breakfast. The soap smelled amazing. Thank you for having us. Will be back.

This is one of the best High Tea services I have ever experienced. Trust me, I travel all over the world for tea. There are so many choices of good tea. The scones and savory treats were so delicious. The setting of the ambiance was fantastic. They deserve a Michelin Star for Tea service if it was a such thing. It was a birthday well spent.

The entire staff was sincerely happy to help with anything. I especially appreciated only having one button to push on the phone to ask for anything… and of course the separate champagne button :) we had a suite with an adjoining room. The accommodations were opulently appointed, yet comfortable live-able for our 4 year old, infant, and my mother VERY special details in the rooms. Room service was always less than 30 minutes and the food was excellent. Natasha cleaned our rooms and was loving to our children and paid perfect attention to every detail. Rajae the concierge (and the whole team) helped organize everything we needed for our baby and a couple of dining experiences. Kelvin the doorman quickly became my 4 year old son’s best bud. The pool was attended by people who loved to help with our kids and provided incredible attention to our needs. The bar staff were happy and attentive despite being wildly busy. Definitely one of the fanciest hotels we’ve ever seen, and by far one of the most welcoming and well-attended hotels we’ve experienced.

Amazing scene, smell, and decor. This is true NYC luxury done at its finest. From the moment you enter the doors there is no room for disappointment. The rooms are very luxurious, with plush linens and toiletries. The lounge screams affluence and exclusivity. Drinks slightly overpriced but it’s to be expected for NY and the brand! Will absolutely return.

We checked in, the suite was slightly small for us, Makke (front desk manager) graciously looked into options for us and we moved the next day. He made it easy and we loved our new room. Truly professional and welcoming. We had requested assistance in advance from the concierge team...they delivered. Front row VIP seats, excellent restaurant reservations, fun commiseration about shopping and neighborhoods. Absolutely thorough, knowledgeable, and fun. Thank you Alejandra, Rafael, Rajae and Vladimir. Kelvin, our front doorman bestie, always knew how to get us going in the right direction and in style. Love that welcoming smile and absolute expertise. Housekeeping is superior. Small touches...extra water, extra organization, steamer, slippers, robes, all of it. Great gym. Gorgeous pool. Don't overlook the steam room. Breakfast/lunch room is good for meetings, not loud, quick and discreet service. Excellent bar, fabulous ambience. We will be back.

Great hotel and staff. Only ding with the room was in our Harcourt suite on the 4th floor, you could hear the subway below. Not so loud it blew the doors off, but you could hear it nonetheless. Had afternoon tea and it was woefully sub par. For $300 for 2 (and no champagne by the way) I expected more. Overall it’s a great, luxury hotel located perfectly in mid town.

The Best Hotel in New York. The staff are fantastic rooms large and indoor pool & gym also great. The concierge are fantastic and the Doorman are best i have ever known. Bar is great and the Lounge is fantastic. prefer the Old style bagels to the new pastries. Also no English builders tea should get it.

During my recent stay at the Baccarat, I observed several aspects that didn't give me the impression that I was staying in a 5-star luxury hotel. Firstly, the wine list was very disappointing. It’s no longer up to fine dining standards, with many cheap Italian wines that don't align with the overall luxury brand & clientele. They no longer have a sommelier on staff, which explains the drop in wine standards. The Italian manager seemed more interested in engaging with pretty women or guests flaunting designer items, missing the mark on quiet luxury and service. Finding a manager to share feedback was challenging. Slow service in the grand salon seemed to be a consistent issue. On a positive note, the food improved, and it’s evident they've invested in a chef, moving away from merely replicating dishes from other established NY restaurants. I also appreciated the welcoming front-of-house staff. Overall, I found the experience didn't justify the price.

This hotel in many ways draws parallels to the Connaught in Mayfair, London, in that it's number one USP is the intimacy of service execution… and this they do extremely well. They understand their clients’ needs and wants, and anticipate at every corner - the hotel design being an eclectic mix of old and new which they pull off beautifully - catering for the more affluent side of society. Here's some feedback on the different segments of the hotel; Rooms: very well appointed, the mattress on the bed is not too soft and not too hard... just perfect, the linen must be around 800 thread count, almost velvet by touch. The accessories they provide in the room are beautifully presented, no expense to detail...with well thought through lighting which brings the room to life. Main Lounge: this is where generally meetings take place, and represents a quieter aspect to the hotel when compared to the bar. The ceiling is very high which provides an open and luxurious feel, the beams at ceiling level are mirrored on the faces giving the illusion that there is more space beyond the ceiling itself. The huge windows let the outside world into the room from a lighting perspective... yet you cannot see the buildings beyond, a very clever and modern way of not allowing the grey buildings beyond to be visible to the high end clients within. Bar: the bar at night comes to life, no standing room you either need a seat at bar or a seat at the table which prevents clogging and overcrowding… the management doing a great job of servicing the needs of the customers. It's appointed with a variety of art and colours which you would never think could be mixed together, but it works so well. Food: the food and the service that brings it is top notch, but it's not the cheapest of places... but if you have a room here then you are not looking at the F+B prices, you're enjoying the experience. Pool and gym: the pool here is just big enough, surrounded by cabanas so that you can relax in the warm surroundings giving you that holiday feel… relaxing. The gym is well appointed and catered for my needs well. Reception and ground staff: the staff on reception are super professional, as are the staff at the hotel entrance... these guys really do dance to the tune the Baccarat in terms of their behaviour and professionalism – wearing the brand on their sleeve. So everything here is super, super positive, but if you are a light sleeper like me...here's the downside. I was in room 505, on the 5th floor overlooking the rear of the building. This is great in terms of not getting any road noise, but there were two aspects that were problematic for me. Firstly, you could hear the elevator motors running very clearly in the room, they could have paid a little more attention to soundproofing the elevators shafts or the elevator motor room wherever the noise is coming from. Secondly, there was a repetitive throbbing noise, almost like an old engine on tick over, grabbing its breath - reverberating through the room...like the heartbeat of the hotel – very strange. Even wearing earplugs could not deal with this, because the sound almost comes through the bed, you don't just hear it but feel it. No idea what this is, to some people it could be therapeutic, to others it could be a problem. I have no doubt that there are quieter rooms, just be aware when you book the hotel… if you can sleep through anything this will not be a problem.
