Hotel Giraffe offers a boutique property with 72 guestrooms and suites that are the perfect multi-generational hotel. We have the elegance of a luxury boutique hotel, but the casual feel that families with small children feel comfortable at. Included in your $25 per night resort fee, take advantage of 24/7 hospitality in our Grand Lobby. A light Continental breakfast is served daily from 7am to 10 am and refreshments and snacks including cappuccino, coffee, teas, water, fruit, and health bars are available throughout the day. Also included with your reservation are WiFi and bottled water in-room. Hotel Giraffe is conveniently located just North of Madison Square Park which is a very vibrant area with amazing restaurants and shops. We are a short walk to many NYC attractions such as the Empire State Building, the Flatiron Building & the Museum of Math! Hotel Giraffe is located just two blocks from the 6 Train and a quick 5-minute walk to the R & W train line! If we do not have the availability or you would prefer another New York neighborhood we are proud to recommend our sister hotels, Casablanca Hotel, Library Hotel, or Hotel Elysee all of which are also highly ranked in the TripAdvisor community here in NYC!

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in in New York. The staff is incredibly attentive. The rooms are larger than most by New York standards and the amenities are terrific. The location is Central to go uptown and downtown. I would highly recommend this hotel as well as the other library collection hotels

Silly - but having my choice of pillows at the point of initial reservation (feather or foam) was a huge plus. Feather pillows to me basically make for a “thick pillow case” (they crush into nothing). But the property is well located and infinitely clean and staffed with friendly, caring people. Even though I was on a low floor (3) there was virtually no road noise.

Hotel Giraffe is ALWAYS our "go to" hotel when we visit NYC. I can't say enough great things about this hotel ... the rooms, amenities, and (especially) the staff. On this visit we met up with another couple (longtime friends) who hail from Boston to see a show (they always drive into NYC and the valet service was a painless endeavor). This was their first time staying at the Giraffe, and as we all checked out the next morning they said it's now their favorite too! As always the staff did not disappoint. Thanks to Amtrak, my husband and I arrived very early (10 AM) on a Saturday morning and the staff checked us into a King room (w/a balcony, awesome!) on the 12th floor ... they checked our friends in early too. We are still masking so the staff encouraged us to grab breakfast from their morning buffet and enjoy it in our room or on the 12th floor deck. It was an unusually mild weekend for a February in NYC (mid-50s) so we took advantage of the 12th floor deck to enjoy our breakfast (and take-out later that afternoon) with our friends mask-free. It was a great weekend all around. We will DEFINITELY be back -- again, and again, and again -- to the Giraffe!!

first-time here; i usually stay on the UEWS. Professional friendly helpful staff; nice-size room (for Manhattan); well-appointed, certainly way above average. Nice touch is the snack bar in lobby. Really enjoyable lobby experience overall. Would be nice if the restaurant attached was open (any restaurant). Didn't try the rooftop but will do next time..there will be a next time :)

Very comfortable and convenient. Close to midtown, flatiron district and all transportation. Friendly and welcoming staff. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the annoying $25 “resort fee “ that’s tacked onto the bill Although it’s a very nice place to stay, it is not a resort.

Hotel Giraffe is a wonderful boutique hotel in a fantastic location. The staff is fabulous, the bed comfortable, and they set up excellent transport to and from the airport. All for a very reasonable price. I will return on my next trip to NYC for sure.

My family and I (husband and two college-age boys) stayed at this hotel for a three night visit to NYC in mid-December. Normally, I book two rooms to accommodate our family. However, since we visited at the height of the holiday season the price for NYC hotels was absolutely outrageous. I searched high and low to find a nice, centrally located hotel with rooms with two queen beds and adequate space for the four of us. The Hotel Giraffe ended up being the perfect choice. The room was huge with plenty of storage and a large bathroom. Our room faced 26th Street on the second floor and we didn't have any issues with street noise. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and well maintained. The location is great and we walked to many sights we wanted to see (we did Uber to lower Manhattan and back to see the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, 9/11 Museum, etc). Our longest walk was back to the hotel from The Met. We booked with the hotel directly online and check-in was smooth and efficient even though our room was not ready when we arrived. We waited for about 30 minutes in the lobby, which is well-stocked with packaged snacks and fruit, water, tea and a machine to make coffee, lattes and espresso. The cozy sitting area is a huge bonus of this hotel. We ate breakfast here in the morning and had late night pizza delivered and sat at the comfortable table and chairs to eat and visit with one another. It feels a little like you are in your own living room. I would highly recommend this hotel and I would love to stay here in the future!

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have always enjoyed it. The location is superb, easy to get uptown, downtown, walk to Union square,Greenwich Village or SoHo! Many great restaurants outside your door! This is not a trendy boutique hotel, it is a quiet, older hotel, that is meticulously maintained. Rooms are much larger than the average NY city room. Coffee and snacks are available in the lobby all day, and a continental breakfast is included in the price. The lobby has nice areas to hang out or get some work done. My suggestion- it is time for this property to be updated. Although clean and maintained, the furniture and style is old and out dated. In prior years they had offered a nightly free wine hour. They no longer do that ( which I understand is costly), but how about putting a bar in that beautiful lobby so one could enjoy an evening cocktail!! There is currently no restaurant at this hotel. This is still one of my favorite NY hotels, but I hope a remodel is coming soon!! Cheers and happy travels!

We stayed for a long weekend in a balcony King suite. Huge room, loved the tiny terrace! Water bottles were nice to have replenished each day. Friendly staff, clean, great location. We appreciated the wonderful fancy coffee machine and snacks that were available 24/7. Also liked the seating area there in the lobby where you can enjoy said coffee anytime. Lots of seats. Can't go wrong booking here!

I stayed at Hotel Giraffe while visiting family for the Holidays. It's located in the neighborhood where I used to live and I always liked the area. The staff is great - customer service is clearly a top priority. The room was very nice - a little older, so not a micro like others I've been to. I LOVE the 24 hour coffee/tea/snack setup in the lobby - a small amenity that goes a long way. I was torn between Giraffe and Library, but happy with my choice as the area near Library gets super busy during the Holidays. I will definitely be visiting Giraffe on my future visits. Thank you!
