If you are from the UK do not book this hotel as you will not be welcomed! The staff are very rude towards British people, me and my boyfriend booked all inclusive and only ate one day in this hotel as the food made me physically sick, not much variety of different food. We didn’t have any alcoholic drinks as we was asking for vodka and Pepsi and they were just giving us Pepsi no matter how much we asked for Vodka. I would be waiting at the bar to be served and the staff just walked away without even acknowledging me. The room was no where near 4 stars, the shower was hanging off the wall, no light in the main room so was stupidly dark, the room was really dusty and also no balcony only a small window which opened. We had no cleaner the whole time we was there. The water slides were not working at all the whole time we was there and the closest beach is a 30 minute walk and full of rubbish when you get there. If it wasn’t for land of legends being so close I dread to think how bad our holiday would have been. I’m not one to leave reviews usually but honestly save your money and do not book here!
Show more...This is the worst hotel experience of my life if i could give it zero stars i would the management of this hotel was rude and vile no customer service skills i have no idea how it is a 4 star hotel they can’t even facilitate a normal card transaction do not book this hotel save yourself the misery it ruined our holiday we moved from ramada lara to here and it was like being slapped in the face save your money it’s not worth it
Show more...We spent £1052 for a weeks stay at the start of July, the hotel it’s self up is gorgeous and it is very close to Land Of Legends which I highly recommend you visit. If you are wanting to visit The Land Of Legends, we paid £68 per person for the day, we booked it with a man named Hamza who is located in a near by shop, he looked after us very well. We also bought a boat trip with him which was £30 each. The staff in the hotel work extremely hard and they always polite. One of the only down sides of the hotel was food, the me and my girlfriend are picky eaters so the options were very limited it was usually chicken, pasta and rice. Overall this hotel is very good, it was 3 fresh water pools which people barely used. The hotel didn’t have very many english however the staff could speak a little of English.
Show more...I have visited Turkey 3 times now, the last 2 times to different places but due to the pandemic they were closed so I selected the IQ Belek as it was all inclusive and as a solo female traveller it's generally better to be in this style resort. I arrived late at night, staff are in reception 24 7 so there was no issues. Lots of staff speak some English which was fabulous. I never expect anyone outside of England to speak English so this was a bonus. I was shown to my room and shown how to use my key card and the Aircon, which was a definite plus! It's an absolute essential, it's effective and nice and quiet too. The room, large real king-size bed, not twins stuck together. Lovely clean bedding and firm pillows. As is the tradition, there were thick cotton weaved blankets, trust me you don't need anything more, it's warm enough no duvet is required and once you find your ideal Aircon setting it's more than adequate. Bed was very comfortable and the curtains nice and thick so no light leaks. There is a mini fridge in the room and water is put in it every day for you. I selected what was described as a double for solo use, it was well sized with a little balcony that looked out over the amusement park behind. The bathroom was good, shower has a main shower head overhead and a shower attachment too. Ideal if you don't want a full on soaking. Toiletries provided in the room included soap, shower cap, shampoo conditioner and shower gel. Plenty of towels, 2 large bathsheets, 2 lare hand/hair towels and 2 smaller hand towels and slippers in a netted bag for use too. I was given a towel card, this is exchanged at the spa for a large blue beach/ pool towel. You can change them as you wish in the spa so if you want a fresh towel you just go to the spa and swap it for a clean towel. I visited the spa twice while I was there. Once for a Turkish foam massage and face massage and then again for a face shoulder massage and foot massage. Definitely an experience!! I slept like a log afterwards and my skin squeaked I was so clean! The cleaning staff visit every day and empty the bins and replenish any toiletries and remake your bed and give the room a sweep and wipe through. If you leave towels on the floor they are replaced. The room was fully cleaned a few times which on top of regular daily visits I think is more than enough. They visit around 11-1 each day. The restaurant exceeded my expectations. I visited out of season but it still provided a full service each meal time. Due to covid staff fill your plates for you with your selections. Breakfast has a mix of hot foods, some days including scrambled eggs, toasties, sausage mix, and then cold platters of cheeses meats and breads along with cereals and fruit. Lunch had a selection of around 6 hot dishes with accompanying rice and pasta and potato dishes, a full salad bar with dips and oils and sauces, fruits and then the most amazing cake bar I've ever seen. Evening meal again a selection of hot dishes plus the salad bar fruits and cakes and soup. I overdid each time on the cake despite having talks with myself beforehand... Failed every time. Each afternoon for a couple of hours there were burgers and chips to help yourself too and ice cream.. very very tasty and plentiful. Drinks.... Coffee machines and soft drinks including pepsi sprite tonic the tastiest juice machines I've tried in any resort, not watered down at all. Again all prepared for you by the staff due to covid restrictions. Alcohol was a local lager beer Tuborg, plenty of gin vodka raki etc and then a half dozen cocktails you can choose from. Measures are not a thing lol... I needed to ask for less alcohol lol.. again not a bad thing. Bare with me on the review I know this is long. Pools 3 in total. A small pool with slides, I'm too old n fat to try them out but they looked like fun. A smaller pool to the side of the hotel and then the main pool out the front of the main bar and restaurant. Feels cold when u get in but when the temperature is in the high 20s it is exactly what is needed and after a minute you don't even notice. The 2 larger pools also have a small children's shallow section with railing. Music is played around the main pool and the 2 daytime animation staff, a young lady and young man were always smiling and happy to see everyone. Watching the young chap encourage all the older men one day to partake in pool aerobics made my day my face ached from laughing. The young lady did a dedicated half hour with all the children each evening of dances and music and she was so good with all the children regardless of age or language. There are toilets in the lobby bar, at the far end of the main pool and near the water slides. The lobby bar is nice and quiet if you just want a coffee or a bit of quiet. If you are up through the night the staff are also happy to get you a drink from the lobby bar. There is a minibus that leaves from the front door throughout the day to the local beach. It takes a couple of minutes to get there and also comes back every hour too, the times are displayed in reception. The sea was very warm which I didn't expect for some reason. The staff also take plenty of cold drinks there and there is also a little cafe bar and fruit juice stand and little souvenir shop too. No pressure to purchase, no harassment. There is also security on the beach and lifeguards. Staff. What can I say, from reception, to the lifeguard, to the cleaning team, to the bar to restaurant and kitchen teams. All so welcoming and generous with their time despite being busy. I can now proudly say I have learnt some Turkish words! Nothing was too much trouble, a credit to the hotel. As you can tell I enjoyed my time, so much so I have already booked to come back next year and will be bringing my other half with me. If like to keep this place all to myself but...it's unfair. So, if you want chips n chicken nuggets stay in the UK. If you are going to another country embrace the culture and ways and don't complain when people don't speak english. Try the different dishes you may suprise yourself. Learn a few words with the staff, or at least try. As it is all inclusive tips are appreciated, but are never asked for. Not once did I feel obliged. I tipped because I know what working in hospitality can be like and frankly I appreciated their time. I felt safe and my word I was well fed and we'll watered. I loved it......I can't wait to go back!!
Show more...Just awful ! Weather was great but that was it dont even know what else to write some staff were nice but mainly poor and language barrier comes up when you have any problems trip operator is a thief aswell please avoid
Show more...Arrived to be given a one bedroom room when I had booked a 2 bedroom room. Was told to see manager in morning. Next day was told our room we booked would be available on the 26th. Our booking was from 15th for 3 weeks!! He ended up putting us in a so called upgrade which was in a different block to which we had booked. This meant no lift for buggy! Also had no travel cot provided when I had email confirmation that this would be provided! Countless faults with room, no water for 2 days! Manager said whole city had water shortage, rubbish as main block had water and so did everyone else in our block. Food very limited and repetitive. Al la carte that’s advertised is closed down so is the night club. We even had staff go into our room while we were out and take our furniture! Our air con unit spat lumps of ice out across the room!! Dangerous with a toddler. I could go on and on about the endless faults. Complained to holiday company only for the manager of this hotel to come back with a load of lies. All the staff ie bar restaurant and cleaners and entertainment team are lovely and work so hard but the manager is a arrogant, lying horrible man that has no clue how to run a hotel. Meant to be 4 star. I’m being kind giving it 2 max
Show more...I don’t normally write reviews but this time I felt I had to. The hotel is a nice hotel with 3 lovely pools but everywhere could do with a good clean. I’m not going to go in to great detail about what spoiled our holiday because it’s just similar to the reviews before this one. The hotel staff were lovely and could speak a little English until you had a problem (which there where many) the mangers attitude is just like his teeth utter disgusting. I’ve seen the monkeys at longleat safari park and they are 1 million times better behaved than the Turkish/Russians/Eastern Europeans at this hotel at feeding times. I really wish I had a video of this because it’s an awesome sight watching 500 plus people fight for slops to waste on there plate. We booked through love holidays and I honestly think they should be up in court under the trade descriptions act for advertising this as a uk family holiday base it’s nothing of the sort. This hotel I would say is a 2 star at very best. If you want to pay a lot of money and like to be pushed and shoved everyday by rude people, which ends up in fights because you get fed up this is the place for you. If you like a very rude, arrogant lifeguard who essentially bullies English children then again I would suggest this hotel. I would not go back to this hotel if they were going to pay me, however there was a few good points and some lovely staff in the bars and spa but just give it a miss it’s really spoiled by the Turkish Russian and Eastern European guests.
Show more...We traveled as a group of 9, two families, us with 2 boys and our friends 3. We arrived around 11pm and shown to our rooms straight away, we were given a small standard room that had a large king size bed, two tiny pull out beds, a wardrobe and dressing table. Now considering my boys are 13 and 10 and were practically longer than the beds and the fact we had no other room to leave our cases let alone move kind of annoyed us a bit. We went up to have a look at our friends room (as both families had booked corner rooms) to find they had a much larger room with and extra single bed. My husband spoke to reception who told us to call back at 9am as that’s when the manager would be in. 9am came and there was no sign of the manager and we were told to come back at 11am. Finally at 11, 12 hours after arriving we were given the room we should have had! Now it came to meal times and it literally was like feeding time at the zoo! Russians, Germans and Turkish pushing in and scrambling for spatulas like they had never been fed before, piling mounds of food on plate after plate to cover the table and then leaving the majority of said food after only picking at a few bits on their plates. The plates would be cleared scraping all waste into bins apart from the bread which was recycled on other days as my husband found out after finding a mouldy piece of toasted bread one breakfast time. We got sick of the food after a few days, I know you shouldn’t go to other countries and expect English food but you do also expect to be able to eat something substantial. The hotel has 3 pools which were all lovely and our kids loved the slide pool in particular until they had the misfortune of meeting the very controlling egotistical lifeguard! Obviously we had 5 boys in our group and they made friends with 3 other English lads, now kids bring kids they had fun and made the most of their holiday but the lifeguard took exception to this and banned them numerous times calling them “problems” and telling them “aqua finish” at one point he offered a 13 year old to fight him! If you do decide to go Sarp please please please don’t use Bluemania to book any trips, they are allegedly your rep in the hotel but are basically after your money. We spoke to our “rep” telling him we wanted to go to Land of Legends, he talked us out of it and booked us onto a trip to another water park. The day of the trip arrived (which was our last full day) we were told half an hour before pick up time that it was cancelled without explanation. We rang the company numerous time telling them we wanted our money back so we could go to land of legends instead. Every time we rang we were told the Bluemania manager wouldn’t be long. Eventually at 8pm he turned up with our money and explained that our so called rep had been booking trips and pocketing the money! He then called us liars and said we never asked for our money back first thing as you can imagine things got slightly heated which spoiled our last night. I’ve gone into detail with these bad points but essentially had we not been with our friends these issues would have ruined the holiday. It wasn’t all bad though.....the entertainment team were brilliant and worked long hours every day. During the day they were constantly round the pool playing games and dancing. There was always something on every night in the amphitheater, however this was away from the bar and only had wooden benches to sit on. Most of the bar staff were lovely and friendly, George from the spa was also really friendly and would do anything to help. Most of the reception staff understood very little English, however one guy in particular went above and beyond for us, my younger son was poorly late one night, just after his shift finished the receptionist took my husband into Belek to a late night chemist. The hotel has a shuttle to and from the beach, which Sarp has a small section of for guests that has a bar and small selection of all inclusive food, we only went down once as we’re not massive beach fans however if you are this would be great. The main areas of the hotel ie lobby, pool, dining room were all pretty clean. The rooms weren’t disgusting but could be much better and cleaned/beds and towels changed more often. Overall I would not recommend this hotel and it is definitely not 4 star as stated, 2 maybe 3 at a push.
Show more...Where should I start... Due to poor upkeep of the water slide pool, a broken tile in the base of the pool completely removed our daughters toe nail and took a chunk out of the base of her big toe! The management were rude and unhelpful and refused to give an accident report, so we were unable to claim any insurance when we returned. When the rep got involved, the hotel claimed she had caught her foot in a loophole in the pool! But unfortunately for them we have photos of the broken tiles, of which the removed the following morning and reopened the pool leaving 2 tiles completly missing! Really safe.... The manager's called us into the office and tried intimidating us. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT. Have photos of them too. The food was very poor and we ended up with sickness and the trots. They served English people cocktails and beer in plastic and paper cups in the evening! REALLY! The other visitors to the hotel were mainly Turkish and Romanian, they got treated very well in comparison to us Brits. But they too were rude, especially when it came to feeding time, it was like being in a zoo. The hotel toilets were something to be desired! Our whole holiday was ruined due to the hotel negligence. I don't think we spoke to a single English person there that had anything good to say. This hotel should come with a warning! Don't waste your time, money or effort. And certainly do not get injured there! Spend a small fortune for 5 of us to be treated like $h*t. Doesn't deserve 1 star.
