Warning! Caution! Nightmare!!! Do not use Mears for any transportation services. We had booked and confirmed a private shuttle for our family of 9. The shuttle we reserved did not show up. However, a large Mears bus showed up much later and our name was on their itinerary for pick up. As we were loading our bags, a women goes up to the bus driver and creates a scene saying she is better than us and she reserved a private bus. So did we. Our name was on the manifest for that bus. The bus driver did not stand up for us and told us to get off the bus so he can take the crazy lady. The bus driver and the Mears “business” caused my family emotional distress as we were left stranded. Disney management tried to get in touch with Mears too and they too kept getting the run around. Mears is a poor excuse for a business. I personally will be following up with Mears management as well as informing AAA and posting this review on every travel site I can find.

If you want to go to Busch Gardens from Orlando do not book the complimentary shuttle. Pay the extra and go private - the planning, organisation and execution of the pick up service was a s**t show!
I booked the complimentary shuttle service to Busch Gardens for the 5th August, 3days in advance and was given a 8.45 pick up time from Icon Park.
Two buses turned up at icon park but only one was labelled as Mears so I obviously opted for this one which was my first mistake as both buses were being used for the same route. The first one already had passengers so quickly filled up before the rest of us going onto the overflow (mears labelled bus). There was also some confusion between the drivers which caused a 10 minute delay when leaving icon park. The first bus quickly departed for Busch Gardens as it was full whilst the bus I ended up on proceeded around 4 other stops (one of which he didn't need to pick up any people due to the presence of other buses).
We didn't reach our final pick up location until 10.20 which was almost an hour later than their specified pick up time of 9.30. To make matters even worse the driver had to get directed to this location by a passenger.
We left the final pick up location at 10.30, at this point I have been on the bus since 8.45 and haven't even left Orlando and the other buses would have likely already arrived at Busch Gardens. With the journey expected to take around 1hr 20mins this means our arrival will be far later than the 11.30 time specified on the website. We were then told we were being picked up at 7pm, 3 hours earlier than the park actually shuts having already wasted much of our morning sitting on a bus.
I DO NOT recommend this service! Very poorly planned and needs looking at!

Due to weather our flight was cancelled and we ended up flying to Orlando instead of Fort Lauderdale like we had planned. We booked a luxury SUV from Mears to take us from the Orlando Airport to our hotel in Fort Lauderdale. I received confirmation and they charged our card immediately. We arrived in Orlando at 11:30 pm and we went to baggage claim where the driver was to be waiting at the bottom of the escalators. We waited about 20 minutes and no driver. I called Mears and the person who answered said the driver is there but he got stuck in security so to wait where we were and he would be there shortly. About her 20 mins goes by and I call again. At that point I’m told our original driver decided he didn’t want to take us and took someone else. The manager is now trying to find us a driver. At this point it’s 1:15 am and the new driver arrives. Instead of a luxury SUV that I already paid for we get an airport shuttle van. We all climb in and off we go for our 3 hour drive. The van was the most uncomfortable vehicle to be in and certainly not worth the money I paid. I have tried calling Mears every day for the last 5 days and held for at least 20 minutes and no one ever picked up. I sent them and email 4 days ago and have not received a response. Their customer feedback form on their website is non-existent. I DO NOT recommend using Mears at all.

Ruined a days holiday. Keep in mind I am a non transferable electric wheelchair user, with medical needs that progress late at night and require ventilation.
We prebooked disabled transport with Mears to go from Disney Hotel to Universal studios. They showed an hour late. No biggie, unacceptable but it’s fine, whatever.
So we gets dropped off to universal and we took a bus to our Universal hotel. The hotel room itself was not accessible to my needs so we had no choice but to check out and return to our Disney hotel. So about 5pm we called Mears for a Disabled taxi to pick us up for 6pm.
By 6:30, no show so we called to be told it will be there soon and that “its the wheelchair that’s the problem”, which I don’t appreciate being told that my legs are the problem. 6:50, called again, to be told that after every 20 minutes it’s erased off their system, basically assuming we no longer need transport and to call them every 20 mins until the driver is there?? So this is what we did. By 8pm it was recommended that the hotel call them to book a taxi. So they did that and still a no show for a further hour. So management of the hotel got involved and said they will pay for the transport. It got to about 11pm and this is where I became desperate. I needed to go back to our Disney hotel to ventilate and sleep, I was exhausted. Mears just left us in a lobby of a hotel. We had no where to sleep, food court was closed, limited staff working to help. By this time I must’ve called about 10 times, one guy said it could be a few more hours, I said if I would’ve known this at 6pm I would’ve found someone else, he responded yeah you can find another company, I said no it’s too late (it was like 11:30 by now). Mears had endless calls from me, a guest in the hotel who had a disabled daughter so she felt terrible and helped me, and 2 managers + 1 supervisor from the hotel. Every single phone call they would ask if the chair folded, I had already told them several times it didn’t.
By 12pm we found another company that charged us $260 for a 20 minute ride, we got back to our hotel at 1:30am. Mears made a clinically vulnerable person wait in a hotel lobby / parking lot for over 6 hours. The next day we still didn’t get a text to confirm if the driver was on the way. Mears didn’t know we had found someone else. I can’t believe they just left us there for a total of 7 hours.
I know mears will reply to this by saying “it’s difficult to get wheelchair transport bla bla” but is it 7 hours difficult?! In the end it became medical emergency, I was being told to call 911 but several people.
I have also posted a review on their facebook page to which they replied to contact them in their messenger, and I have done, but they seem to repeatedly ignore all messages. They don’t care about you.
*photo shows my final 9 minute call to them essentially begging to get back because I need to be ventilated*

My wife and I spent a few days at Disney World and were passengers on the Mears buses both going to and leaving the resort On the trip in from the airport my wife said she wanted to get a picture of the arch at the entrance to Disney World. The driver overheard her and slowed the bus down to give her time to get the picture and we really appreciated that. He was very pleasant and we enjoyed the trip. I didn't get his name, unfortunately.
On the way to the airport at the end of our visit, our driver was Popeye Booth and we thoroughly enjoyed his company as we set out on a long day of two flights to go from the southeast coast of the USA to the west coast of Canada.
Pick a superlative, he was all of affable, engaging, hilarious and more. His speeches to all of the passengers were filled with humour.
We were sitting in the front seats on the right-hand side of the bus and had some great light-hearted banter with him.
At no time did he neglect or get distracted from his driving.
Popeye is a credit to your company. I don't know how much you're paying him but it's not enough. Give him a raise!

I was traveling from Dockside Resort to Universal CityWalk and was surprised to be picked up by a Mears Coach instead of the usual Universal buses. The driver, Rueben Shaw, went out of his way to greet the guests & engage us on the brief trip. He was cheerful, asked for names as people entered, then began telling jokes and asking specific people about their trip & local attractions. He was informative & able to answer any questions asked, not my usual experience when traveling between the resorts & parks. This gentleman seems to love his job & tries hard to make the guest experience the best possible, even the bus ride. He should be commended!

We booked an express shuttle service from MCO (Orlando) airport to the Swan Reserve Hotel, near EPCOT. The service was advertised as exclusive with direct service to and from the airport, in a smaller vehicle and no stops at other hotels.
It took me 55 minutes to connect to an operator to notify Mears that our original flight time had changed. Technically, this can be done on the website. However, the link to manage a reservation is obscure. Also, a direct link to the reservation management site is not included in the confirmation email.
The trip from the airport to the hotel was okay. Just before we were herded onto a large bus, we were asked at which hotel we had a reservation. When it was announced that we would be stopping at multiple hotels, I clarified that I had purchased the Express service. I was then told they would drop us off first. That was reasonable, but it was clear we were the only ones on the bus that had paid extra money. I felt foolish for wasting money on the Express service.
The trip from the hotel back to the airport was horrible. We arrived at the hotel valet station about 5 minutes prior to the scheduled pick up time. We had received a text message 15 minutes prior to the pick up time with a link to a real time map (similar to Uber) that was supposed to track the progress of our vehicle. However, the bus icon on the map never moved from the airport. After 15 minutes, I asked the front desk if there was a different pick up location. They had a direct number to the Mears dispatch and were told a black car had been sent to our hotel, but our trip had been cancelled due to a no-show on our part. The hotel staff said they had not seen a black vehicle in the 30 minutes prior to our assigned pick up time.
Mears then sent a yellow taxi. When that vehicle arrived, the driver said he was there to pick up a party of 4 with a last name completely different than mine. However, there was no party at that hotel with the last name the Mears dispatch had given him. Her took pity on us and took is to the airport.
The ride was great, but the infrastructure to support this service is very shaky. I would avoid this service for the near future if possible.

I was willing to give Mears the benefit of the doubt for the day we arrived, it was obviously chaotic in the days following the hurricane so I was very patient for our airport arrival and transport to the resort. However, I did not appreciate that there was ZERO communication from the people working the lines and the directing of people. They should have told people who were waiting over an hour after landing that they were short on buses and that they were trying to condense the lines because of it.
We were first in line to go to the Contemporary/Bay Lake resort so we waited it out, but my travel companions were going to Pop Century and were in the very back of the line and only after asking after waiting 30 minutes in line were they told they were about an hour and a half out from a bus, so they hopped out of line and ordered an uber.
I incorrectly assumed that more than a week after the hurricane the kinks were potentially worked out and again, I was not given any communication otherwise. So when I received my boarding pass and window for pick up the day before our departure I assumed that we were all set to go. I got to the lobby 15 minutes before our departure time to be safe, we watched two Mears buses come and go (none even asked if we needed to get on, they just unloaded passengers and hopped back on and left). However, my departure time came and went by about 20 minutes so I figured I'd better call. When I reached customer service I was told my bus was still 15 minutes away. He finally arrived 50 minutes after my original departure time only to find out we needed to still make two more stops.
Luckily, both stops were near by and we did make it to the airport in time. However, I did feel bad for our bus mates, who were departing from a completely different terminal and were told they had to get to their correct terminal themselves, as they only make one stop. If you have the option to take alternate transportation, I would make it. I only went this route because I have a child with car seat needs and we had a lot of luggage so I didn't want to worry about an Uber.

My wife and I rode a Mears Connect bus to our Polynesian Village Resort lodging at Walt Disney World, when we arrived at the MCO Orlando airport last month, and we rode another, when we returned to the airport for our flight home. Both experiences were excellent: The buses were clean and comfortable, the drivers were personable, helpful, and punctual. Reserving our rides by means of the Mears website was easy, and the amount that we paid for the service was good, in my opinion. I recommend this transportation option to others wholeheartedly.

The service takes forever I had to wait an hour for a taxi to pick me and a couple friends up to drive 12 miles. Rude drivers. The cars smell like piss and body odor. You can travel the same distance in an uber or lyft for $15-$20 cheaper with better drivers and faster service. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
