The Waterford

This was our second visit and again didn't disapoint, Douglas & liz made us feel so welcome and they are really friendly. Very clean and decorated very nice, bathrooms with hand wash, hand cream, shampoo and shower gel, lovely warm rooms to come back to on a cold October night, a box of chocolates, coffee, tea, hot chocolate drink supplied in your room and a kettle, breakfast absolutely brilliantly cooked exactly as we requested. Our only issue was the mattress was a bit soft for us (but this might suit some people). Within easy walking distance of the tower or if you want the trams and public transport close by.

I was initially apprehensive in staying at a Guest house due to previous bad experiences and accommodation not always been up to my standards. When booking on telephone Liz assured me that the room was lovely and her manner was so calm and you felt immediately comfortable speaking to her. The Guest was located I think North shore which was quieter with a lovely calm sea view in my opinion a far better location away from the hustle noise. We arrived late Friday 15th and was greeted very warmly by Liz and shown to our room which was on the top floor. Walking up to the room you could see that the building was very tastefully decorated and clean and our room was simply perfect , spacious , with an adjoining bathroom suite with all the added additional such as white clean bathrobes and slippers,tea ,coffee and all the little extras that you would receive in hotels. You really could not fault this accommodation at all. Everything was included for your comfort which you would find in many hotels we were very pleased indeed. I normally carry my own stock of cleaning aids just in case however this was certainly not required in this Guest house. Breakfast again you could not fault everything that you could possibly want and Douglas made us feel very welcome and made sure that we were very well fed. This Guest house is Adult only and perfect if you want a relaxing break. The host Liz and Douglas were wonderful and very polite we certainly will be back and Thank you both very much for calming my concerns. This is in my opinion 1st class accommodation with lively host.

Lovely B&B just off the front at a quieter end of the promenade. Lovely hosts who couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely clean room, Breakfast was top notch and cooked to order. First time staying at a B&B hopefully any future stays will match Liz and Douglas standards.

Beautiful hotel right on the beach. Stunning sea views from the bedroom windows. Lovely couple to greet you on arrival and helps with luggage. Rooms are lovely and big with the added personal touch. Breakfast is amazing. Will definitely be coming back again. Would highly recommended.

Top hotel very nice and clean hosts are brilliant and breakfast is very nice I would recommend this place very nice indeed. Would stay here again very quiet area and the beds are very comfortable best nights sleep

Just stayed this weekend with Douglas and Liz. What can I say everything was perfect. Room was really spacious and bathroom with walk in shower was great. Lots of extra little touches in room bathrobe and slipper, proper coffee machine, chocolates and mini fridge. Breakfast was nice with lots of choice. Parking is available off street. Felt very covid safe which is on a lot of people's minds at moment. Hand sanitiser as you go in and on your table at breakfast. Masks to be worn while you walk around the premises. Won't be our last visit.

Only on a 3 day break away from a bad year could not have had better hosts in Liz and Doug. The room was spacious, comfy and relaxing with a sea view. The little touches that made it even more special. The breakfast was fantastico,even going out of there way to get my favorite sausages. Would highly recommend any couples. everything was perfect, room was lovely and spotless with seaview, breakfast was the best we have had in any b&b everything you could possibly want for breakfast was there, and the hosts liz & doug are veey friendly and welcoming, the room has everything you need also from bottles of water and tea making facilities to dressing and slippers, also person touches were nice too like a box of chocs on arrival, will most definitely stay here again on our next visit to blackpoo

Stayed here for three nights during the illuminations and had a lovely stay. It's well run by warm and friendly hosts Liz and Doug. We stayed in the double deluxe room which was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, big bathroom with dressing area and everything you could possibly need, even a coffee machine and a flask of fresh milk. Breakfast was gorgeous, the best we have ever had at a guest house. Hotel is at the quiet end of blackpool, only a few minutes walk from the nearest tram stop which takes you into the centre in five minutes. We bought a 3 day ticket which covered all tram and bus travel for only £12 each which was great value as we used the tram a lot. Plenty of street parking close by as well as a few spaces belonging to The Waterford. We will definitely visit again.

What a fabulous welcome from Liz and Douglas on arrival. The rooms were of a great standard and immaculately clean, lovely touches, fresh milk, free coffee/tea etc...a box of chocolates and a box of everything you’d need from cork-screw to shoe shine. Breakfast was to a very high standard and freshly cooked to order (perfect poached eggs) a lovely selection of juices, continental cheeses and meats etc.... Highly recommend - thank you. Paul & Sandra
