Show more...This was the 2nd time we stayed at Otium Family Eco Club (am surprised to find it apparently changed the name since then). We were a family of 4 - me, husband, 4 yo daughter + my mum. I am happy to say we enjoyed the stay very much. We had a mishap on arrival when we were accommodated into a villa instead of 2 rooms for the 1st night (this also happened to us back in 2022, so pls do take into account the possibility of overbooking), but the hotel was very gracious to make a double upgrade the next day. As a result my mum spent her vacation in a room with a better view and the 3 of us stayed in a family suite. The family suite was FABULOUS, very spacious, catering for all needs of a family, with a huge terrasse overlooking the lake where you can have breakfast, read, do yoga and whatever pleases you (note, the villa we stayed I don't like that much - it is also spacious but the floorplan is not as great as the suite - but lots of people seem to like the villas). For the 2nd year in a row I am extremely pleased with the hotel's spa. It is with an Oriental (Thai?) theme, very relaxing, and very reasonably priced vs. what we saw in other hotels - for example, in Belek earlier this same summer. So, hugely recommended! The hotel's territory is very clean, well-maintained and spacious. Kids' concept is also very well planned, lots of things to do for small children, and Russian-speaking staff which was important for my daughter whose English is still not perfect (:-)) The beach is GREAT and clean (5 mins by shuttle service, or 10 mins walk) and we were very thankful for the beach restaurant, extremely convenient if you missed breakfast or plan to miss lunch, and offers not only lots of fresh fruit & coffee but also main courses. The WiFi connection at the beach was also pretty decent. Overall I would recommend the hotel if you're looking for a reliable option to stay with kids, enjoy the sea and relax, or visit the nearby Side (strongly recommended). Do take into account that it is a family resort and it offers just that - clean, reasonable accommodation with a great kids club near a wonderful beach - so if you're looking for smth super luxury and posh (haute cuisine and the like), probably look elsewhere.
Show more...Family Room not ready on arrival so did not get into their family villa till following afternoon. Family villa not cleaned, ants on floor, medicine tablet found on floor behind curtain. Vanity unit housing sink , cracked. However slightly better than first villa. We were a family of 8 and rarely ate altogether as the restaurant was always crowded. The cushion seat pads in the dining area, were constantly wet as guests went in for lunch with wet clothes and they stayed damp for the evening sitting. We lay on sunbeds like rows of sardines under the shaded areas as due to the 40degree heat it was too hot to sit on a sunbed out of the shade. We felt the hotel was definitely overbooked for the hotels facilities. General outside walkways were hazardously wet. Not enough toilet facilities around the hotel for the amount of guests. We have written twice to Jet2 to complain about our experiences , but because we did not take photos, they were only able to give an apology. The children enjoyed the waterslides
Show more...Fantastic Friendly and helpful staff, clean, food absolutely brilliant caters for everyone. Fantastic for children with several different pools and facilities for them. Help was sent straight away. Aircon lovely. Hot water in shower. Mini bar stocked daily. Beds firm but comfy. Lovely view of the mountains. Food plentiful and changed at every meal. No stomach upsets. Taner, Emir and mustafa very helpful and welcoming. They organised a fab birthday treat for me. Pools are clean. Lots of sun beds. Beach is just a pleasant stroll by the lake. Nice beach. Pebbles tho by the sea. Many water options. Many sun beds. Good beach bar food. Had a chocolate massage. Very nice Animation team fab. The evening shows were of a high standard. Mr Otium. Very funny. Great for kids. 5 star rating from us. Please don’t take any notice of the bad reviews. If you have a problem. It will be sorted. All staff are very hard working and friendly. Please tip. I took lira but most things are priced in euros.

Show more...We are currently staying at the resort and would normally write this upon our return but thought it necessary to warn people with disabled children not to travel to this resort. The hotel is ok, the rooms are ok and the food is what you would expect "mediocre". The beach is lovely. The pool is very noisy with music blasting all day for no reason. The issue we have is the staff. We have a son with downs syndrome who obviously has a very different appearance to others, this seems to be a great source of amusement to lots of the staff who snigger and point, however this is not the worse of the treatment he receives, we have witnessed him at the bar trying to get a soft drink and the people completely ignore him despite his attempts to gain their attention, there is no one else in the queue, as soon as we approach they try and make good their utter contempt for my son, as a parent this is heart wrenching and has truly ruined a much needed holiday. We have visited Turkey lots of times and never experienced this treatment. We will not return
Show more...Myself, my husband and our two children stayed here for ten nights in September. We had a difficult journey so were very pleased to hear once we arrived that we had been upgraded to a family villa which meant that we had a bit more space and were located on the ground floor which I had previously requested. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, one individual even handed in my husbands wallet after he dropped it on the way back to the room which was incredibly kind. The hotel grounds and pool areas are immaculate and amazingly green. There are lots to do for children, our boys were too little for kids club but there were lots of fun activities going on for older kids and we sat a couple of times with them doing some colouring etc. The best part was how much shade there was, I didn’t have to worry as much about them getting too much sun as the two children’s pools and the park are almost completely covered. There are also some fairground rides for the little children to go on, but bring some spends as they cost €5 a go! The food I found slightly hit and miss if I’m honest. I am a vegetarian but I’m not fussy and will eat anything that’s not meat or fish but some nights I found there wasn’t anything really for me, plus unfortunately the dishes are not properly labelled. I asked the chef a few times about dishes that didn’t say they had meat in them but was told they had a ‘little bit of chicken in’ not ideal really! There should be little signs to let vegetarians/vegans know if they can eat the food. The beach area was nice and a pleasant walk which took about 7 minutes from our room at the back of the hotel. The worst part of this hotel, and something which I really hope changes for future guests is the photo team. You walk past these two guys every night before dinner and they ask you if you want to book on for a family shoot. We succumbed in the end and the experience wasn’t awful just slightly cheesy! However when we went to pick our photos I was told that to get a digital copy of the photos of my children I had to pay €150 as they were €10 each and you had to pick a minimum of 15! I was shocked, what an absolute scam. I said does the hotel know you’re asking this and he rudely said ‘you think this is a lot of money’! I said it absolutely is I only wanted one or two of my boys I don’t want 15 (to be honest most of them were terrible and extremely amateur so I couldn’t have even picked 15 if I had the money to!). I asked him if I could speak to his manager and he gave me his number but then I saw him texting someone and I guessed he was warning him not to answer as the manager ‘Tolga’ refused to answer my calls or my very politely worded what’s app message. This whole experience really put a dampener on our last day, and although we paid for two print outs (we weren’t allowed the digital copies no matter how much I begged!) the whole experience felt seedy and wrong that they got to keep all the images of my family to do whatever they liked with (social media and canvas boards all over the place) and I was being extorted for digital copies. I really hope the hotel does something about this as I assume they are private photographers paying rent and it just seems so wrong. Apart from that we had a lovely time, and although I’m not sure we would return as I have visited better all inclusive’s in Turkey I would recommend if anyone was travelling to the Side area.
Show more...Be warned this hotel is running a scam with a local hospital, our son was taken ill, 18 month old and first time in a hot country, he vomited 5 times. So we decided to just get him checked to be sure. The nurse didn’t touch him and said he would arrange a car to take us to see the doctor, which was sort of OK, but I would have thought the nurse would have checked his vitals. Nurse told us to come back with passport and insurance documents, which we did, he looked at insurance and said ah yes, good insurance, he made more calls in Turkish. Car has now turned into an ambulance….. the hospital we arrived at had an amazing doctor, maybe Jesus, he was able to touch my sons belly, he was sleeping, just with his hand and diagnosed him, said must be admitted and need a day of IV….. BS… we didn’t agree… oh well in that case we need X-ray… X-ray for vomiting BS… next thing they demand we pay before we can get results and medicine…. What … I refused as I said my insurance company covers all of this… resulted them kicking us out at midnight a family of 4 with an 18 month old who 15 minutes ago needed to be admitted… hotel’s response… please don’t tell anybody they are contracted to us… it’s a scam… complete scam
