We arrived here late at night and the welcome we got wasn't great,I know it's late but you should receive the same welcome at midday as midnight. The food is excellent you will not go hungry or thirsty as soon as you sit down your drink order is taken. You will never see dirty plates sitting at tables as they are lifted straight away. The cats at the hotel are very well looked after if you don't like cats it's not for you as they are everywhere in side, the walk along the sea front is great and goes for miles. The hotel is spotless we never seen any rubbish fag butt's nothing a real credit to all staff,The hotel has an entertainment team apparently we only seen them at night in the bar and someone told us who they were it's the only hotel I have stayed in where they don't mingle in the daytime or night you can find out what's on but I think they should try harder. The pattieser is a great touch with lovely cakes, coffee and ice cream, the cocktails in the bar are the best we have had in any all inclusive we have stayed at,whoever does the training of staff does an excellent job as they are all very well trained the odd one does seem to be a bit grumpy but we all have bad days.Overall excellent hotel/food/drinks/room we will definitely be back.

This place is fabulous! It‘s our second time here and we really enjoyed our stay. The beach is beautiful, food and drinks are great and the people working in the hotel are extremely friendly. We love everything about this place.

This would have been a great experience but for the actions of one individual who left a thoroughly nasty taste in my mouth. First with the positives… the hotel is lovely, rooms are nice, big , spacious, clean and decor is modern. Most of the staff were lovely and attentive. Food selection is good and plenty of choice. I also had a hammam and would highly recommend. Siri my therapist was lovely and that massage was on point. Great amenities too. Good, well equipped gym and nice indoor pool. I had absolutely no complaints until it was time to check out… I dealt with an individual by name of nebi ( not even sure this is his name as he refused to tell me his name , nor call the manager when I asked for one and when I asked for an e mail address so I could lodge an official complaint, he told me to go and look for it myself!!!! So the problem came when I was checking out. Had an early departure… 5am… so I handed my room key in and waited for him to tell me all was ok. He just ignored me until I asked if everything was ok and he looked at me as if I was the idiot! I then told him a breakfast box had been ordered for me and asked where I needed to pick it up from and his manner was aggressive and rude as he pointed to where I needed to go. I let that go too and walked there only to find no one there…. So went back to reception to explain no one was there. Meanwhile my pick up had arrived and I was trying to get out…. He then got on the phone and whilst still on the phone barked at me to head back to the bar I had come from. I asked if someone would now be there ( he was still on the phone and again impatiently told me to just got back). I explained to him he was rude and didn’t need to speak to me like that and didn’t need to be so aggressive. After all how would I know! Am the guest! I don’t work there or know how things work. He decided to double down and continue to be wrong and strong and carried on being rude. I asked him for his name which he refused to give, asked to speak to a manager and he refused to go and get one..then asked for an e mail address of whom I could complain to and explained I would be complaining about his manner and he told me to go and look for it myself!!! I like to think I treat people how I would like to be treated regardless of who you are and appreciate people have a job to do, however you guys really need to train your staff to do better. That really left a nasty taste in my mouth because that was my last experience of the hotel in which was otherwise a great experience! Ruined the experience for me a bit!

We had a great 2 weeks at the Acanthus in Side. The weather was mixed but at least it was much better than the wintry weather back home in Scotland. Our penthouse suite was excellent, cleaned and replenished daily to a very high standard. The range and quality of the food were superb as were the staff. Special mention should go to Houda and Irina at reception and to the gym guy Ersin who helped us get fit and burn off the calories.

Excellent 5-star All Inclusive hotel located directly on the beach in Side. In 6 days we met so many regular guests with 20 or more stays and understand very well why they keep returning. Their concept was excellent, perfectly met our needs and what we received for the price we paid was just great. High-quality foods, both in buffet and a la card restaurants and bar, luxurious and modern design, great spa area, the entertainment and gastronomic options were somewhat limited in the low season, but we still found what was offered to be completely sufficient. The whole place, in- and outdoors, was absolutely clean and in a very good condition. The friendly and attentive staff, all of whom also spoke both German and English, deserve special praise, from housekeeping to food & beverage to reception. We can absolutely recommend Acanthus & Cennet with 5 stars.

New building and modern rooms, well-groomed gardens , lovely restaurant with different food every day, large selection of drinks at the bar. There is a good spa with a large selection of massages, baths and a swimming pool. It is also worth highlighting a mini-club for children with various games, toys and a great entertainment program.

This is our second visit to this hotel. We returned at the exact same time as the previous year to escape the harsh cold conditions of the U.K. to swap for a very comfortable 18° (average). As before, we have truly loved our stay and found it hard to leave. Before was just myself and my husband but this time we also brought family along; our daughter and my parents. We were greeted with smiles and pleasantries and personally shown to our rooms. We stayed in a pool/sea view superior room. They really are beautiful rooms and the attention to detail gives it the luxurious feel but you’re also comfortable and feel at home. You have everything you need and more. A bottle of champagne, dehydrated fruits, macarons, chocolates and bottle of red were carefully laid out for us in our rooms to indulge straight away. Whenever we go to other hotels we tend to struggle to drink the cocktails and other alcoholic beverages as they don’t tend to taste nice…but this is where the Acanthus & Cennet excels. Real mixologists work these bars and the drinks are among the best I’ve ever had…and I’ve travelled the world pretty much. No drink is off limits, if it’s not in the menus, just ask, chances are they can make it, or at the very least a variation of it. Even the coffees- if this hotel had Starbucks, Costa, or any other branded barista around it, I would choose theirs every time, it’s the best coffee ever (the lattes 🤤). As a picky eater I am that person who pays for all inclusive and then eats out as I struggle to find something that like, not here, you definitely put weight on, it’s like the only thing I complain about is how many pounds I’ve added from eating such gorgeous food. The main restaurant is so good that we didn’t even use the a la cartes this visit (which are unlimited to use & fantastic, one is even open during the day time). The grounds are always pristine and when you walk up and down the promenade, this hotel just stands out as the nicest looking. Even down to the beach, the cleanest and nicest looking part is their own part. Although it’s not really beach weather during January, we did venture on for a walk and it is such a beautiful stretch of sand and so peaceful. Having said all I have (and what I expressed in my first review from last year) this would be enough to make anyone revisit a hotel. However, what brings us back the most is the people. The hotel staff are some of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. They all even remembered us from the previous year. They don’t have a big turnover of staff and most have been there for years. This tells me that the hotel management must value their staff for them to stay as long as they do and they all look happy and are very happy to stand and chat and get to know you. You even see the staff on their breaks and eat in the same dining rooms and I just really like that personal touch. They really can’t do enough for you, you’re treated like royalty. I will return again next year, but we will be looking at a different month to see if our experience is different when we can make use of the pool and beach. Thank you to you all at Acanthus & Cennet, we will see you all again next year our friends 💝

Returned today after a 1 week stay.We have been to lots in the area and both agree this is the best in the Side resort. It looks the best from the promenade with beautiful grounds and great pool. The rooms are large with everything you need included and all areas of the hotel are immaculate, comfortable and clean. The staff all speak excellent English among other languages and are friendly and clearly highly trained,it's clear they are happy working there. The main restaurant was very nice with good quality hot food with dishes changing daily. We tried both a la cartes currently open and highly reccomend the Chateabriand in Safron restaurant. The Lavanta was also available for fresh menu cooked dishes in the daytime which were nice Inc Fajitas/burger/wraps etc.The popular patisserie is also located here.We spent days at the pool bar which was opened due to good weather and nights at the large indoor bar. Both had great service and a fantastic extensive drink choice including numerous bottled lagers and imported spirits.Singers and bands would perform in the indoor bar the best being the Drifters threesome who had a fabulous female singer. Many staff stood out among them Onur,Melike,Mehmet,The bar chief and bar captain. We would certainly stay here again and reccomend it to anyone who wants luxury, comfort, service and high standards.Thankyou from Paul and Kelly.

Review of Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection. Stay 8th to 15th January. Location Excellent. Included in Indulgent Escapes with Jet2 so about 55 minutes private transfer from the airport.Just a very pleasant 25 minute stroll into Side. Dolmus easy to get to Manavgat if you go up a road. Garden small but attractive. Fabulous pool but I can imagine it only being used a couple of months a year as it is vast and unheated. Side is very very pretty. We wandered around it lots of times and loved all the little corners. Room I was a bit disappointed with the hotel’s attitude when we first arrived after a long day travelling. I had asked for a room with twin beds as my husband has health problems so we were limited to what we could choose. The first two Superior category rooms I was offered had terrible views. They were on low floors at the pointed end of the v shape and the furthest away from the sea. If you stood in the corner of the balcony you could see the view but not from inside the room. The hotel was not at full capacity and I do not understand why they couldn’t have allocated a nicer room. One of them was just a view of the flat roof of the reception area. We were hurried around the hotel with a porter carrying all our luggage for quite a time before I was shown a decent room. Then the receptionist insisted on £160 upgrade fee as it was a pool view and a seaview. Had she shown me not very good rooms in order to get an upgrade fee? Both Lara and Liberty Fabay offered us a free upgrade and considering the low season the Acanthus way left me feeling a little disappointed. Not a good start. The room was nice. Kept lovely by our cleaner. The mini bar had no snacks though(just drinks and no spirits) which we missed to go with our morning cuppa. Loved having a kettle though. It meant not having to use the coffee maker to boil water for our tea. Food. I am afraid I am going to compare everything to the Lara Barut for the rest of my life! 😂and this was just not as good. I chose it over the Barut Hemera because people gave the food good reviews. We found both the A La Carte restaurants all style over substance. Presentation being more important than seasoning and taste. I had to send my Chicken Milanese back as it was undercooked and the chateaubriand was a bit tough so we didn’t finish that. Also you had to play hunt the potato. We tried both twice just to make sure we hadn’t just been unlucky, then we stuck to the buffet which was very good. Everything was lovely and hot - even the fries! And nothing was left out too long. I would never worry about the hygiene here, the staff were on the ball and looked after all the food properly. There was a good selection and we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner here. There were some omissions though. Cheese was not good. No melon or grapes Desserts lovely. The patisserie was excellent. Really tasty cakes, biscuits and teas and coffees and a small selection of sandwiches. Only open 10 til 10 though. Drinks We enjoyed the wine which was the same as that served at Lara and Liberty Fabay. The cocktails were better here than at Lara and Liberty. Tanqueray was available and Schweppes tonic, so that kept me happy. 😀 Hemingway daiquiri was good, dirty banana daiquiri and Ayran Margarita. 😋 No outside bars or eateries open at this time of year. Twice they half opened the pool bar. And twice we noticed Manson Plage was open. Pool was absolutely freezing but me and one small boy did go in the once 🥶 It is there for decoration. 🤪And we expected this in January but some hotels have heated outdoor pools. Inside pool was understandably a bit crowded during rainy weather but very nice. Weather, generally good. 5 decent days out of 7. Warm enough for us as we are not sun loungery people. We had 2 days of heavy rain but the hotel was nice enough for that not to be a disaster. And we did pick January so we were very pleased overall. Entertainment was ok, just some low key live music in the bar. Too many female singers with similar repertoire though. Best band was the drifters who weren’t anything like the Drifters like. Staff were really nice. We had no money for tips until the third day but I can’t say there was much difference in the way we were treated. It maybe would if it was busier. My favourite member of staff was Stefik(spelling?) on guest relations. He worked on the evening and was very kind and welcoming to us. ❤️🥰 Our next favourite was Ali who served us in the a la carte restaurants. He was so lovely, even when he could see things had gone wrong with our meals he tried his upmost to make things right.❤️ The animation team made us laugh (unintentionally) They take to the dance floor when the act is on to encourage the guests to join in. This worked brilliantly at Lara Barut as the animation team were so enthusiastic and invested in the guests. There were two male staff here who barely moved their feet on the dance floor and only seemed to go and talk to female guests. They were a bit creepy. Palmyra bar was stunningly beautiful. A large white piano is in the centre of the room. We were not once in a week offered as much as a crisp or an olive. They were on the menu though so I guess we could have ordered them. Not that we were ever hungry. 😉 Conclusion There is no doubt that The Acanthus and Cennet Collection is a beautiful hotel and I was happy with our holiday and the chance we got to visit Side.(which is gorgeous). Would I return? No, I don’t think so. I think I like a bigger hotel with more going on and more families having a good time and the food did not live up to the hype - looking pretty isn’t everything! The ACanthus has very much a couples vibe although there were children there. So far out of my 3 trips to Turkey my order of preference is Number 1 Lara Barut Number 2 Liberty Fabay Number 3 Acanthus
