Melas Resort Hotel

We have just come back from a fabulous break at this hotel. Fantastic location, excellent foods and drink but our highest praise is for all the staff who were both professional but very welcoming and made our holiday a memorable one. However can we just give a mention for the entertainment team. I dont think we have ever come across a team so enthusiastic and full of fun, we loved it. Highly recommend this hotel and we would love to return.

This is probably the friendliest hotel in Europe. I have just returned from my 18th visit and many other tourists regularly return. The hotel has also carried out recently several refurbishments to a very high standard. The food is also excellent with a great number of choices.

My wife and i have stayed here about 5 times. Love the place. But ever since Thomas Cook UK went out of business, i can't seem to find a holiday company that includes this fine hotel. When i do find it , it shows no avaliablity . Any uk based people can help. Tell me who you use thanks. Tui doesn't include Melas. We want to come back. Great staff and hotel. Thanks for any help.

My first experience with vacation in Turkey and must say, I am really excited. In short: Room The room is modern, cleaned every day and standard equipment. We had side view to the sea with balcony. Nice view to Side, not disturbing from other hotels. In the room is also available towels to the beach, no need to carry any from home. Every day is refilled drinks in the fridge (water, Fanta, Coca cola, beer). In the hotel is available wi-fi, with reach to the beach. Food I like food and what was served in the hotel is absolutely amazing. a large selection of different type of meals. Everybody could choose what they like, lot of vegetables, fruits and meats. Theme dinner was brilliant, so every day you can taste something special. Amazing seafood, traditional Turkey cuisine, Mexican, Asia or International cuisine. amazing starters and sweets. It was great (thank you cooks). The staff speaks german and english, so its easy to order drink and they are always happy to help with anything. Entertainment Pool or aqua park is OK, you can stay in the hotel in the pool, or walk 5 minutes to the aqua park with other pool and enjoy water slides especially children. Each pool has own bar, so you will not be thirsty or hungry. Beach is close to the hotel, only what you need is cross the promenade. In the beach is fridge with cold water, or you can go to the beach bar and order some drink or enjoy popsicles. No problem to find spot with sunshade. The beach is clean, no dirt, so if you have children, perfect place for entertainment. In the evenings was always some show at pool or amphitheatre. Or if you want to have calm evening, just stay in lobby bar and enjoy some drink. Surroundings Close to the hotel is Side old town. If you are keen on history, nice museum and amphitheatre (entry is paid in Turkish lira) but very nice exposition with old relics of Rome age. You can go there by foot, roughly 30 minutes on promenade, or you can use bus or taxi. In the old city, there are a lot of shops, restaurants. We enjoyed the stay in the hotel and I can recommend this hotel for everybody, ideal holiday with childrens. I am looking forward to next stay in this hotel. Thank you Melas team!

Just back from a week's holiday at Melas resort. Myself, my mum, 16 year old daughter and her friend. We had a lovely time and we were very impressed with the hotel and complex. My 60 year old mum unfortunately broke her ankle a week prior to our holiday and so she was hobbling around. The staff could not of been any more attentive and helpful to her. The rooms are spacious, modern, clean and well equipped. The food was to a very high standard infact one of the best all inclusive hotels we have stayed at. We particularly enjoyed visiting the ala carte beach bar at lunch time which had fantastic views of the beach and a great menu of pizza's, burgers, salads, pasta, chips etc. The entertainment was ok and the girls particularly enjoyed the pool parties over at the Melas holiday village. The on site aqua park was a little tame for teenagers I felt but we still all enjoyed a few short visits. The location of the hotel was excellent and it is possible to walk the whole promenade next to the beach into Side old town which is beautiful and well worth a visit. It is about 30 minutes walk. But you can also take a bus or taxi from the front of the hotel along the main roads for about 6 euro. As other people have mentioned in their reviews, the hotel is mainly German and has very little English visitors. This was not a problem at all, all the staff are very welcoming and actually love having English guests. The other guests were all polite and lovely and infact there are many different nationalities around the pool during the day. It did not alter our experience at all and actually we enjoyed this about the hotel. I'm sure over time more English people will choose to visit the Melas as it is a fabulous hotel and we would recommend it to anyone. Thank you for a lovely family holiday Melas.

I’m just sat in the pool bar in the evening enjoying my last day or so at this amazing hotel. Hotel is spotlessly clean, great food ! Staff are absolutely so friendly and helpful it is untrue nothing is too much trouble at all. If I can give any advise at all if you do venture out the hotel don’t bother bringing Turkish Lira, just bring Euros. Everything out side the hotel is priced in Euros they really do not want the lira at all. Over all as a family we have had a great time at this hotel.

Amazing time can not recommend enough. Background 1 person in group is deaf, another has a brain tumor. We emailed the hotel prior to arrival asking if possible for a room low down and near the lift ( brain tumor can sometimes play up 🫣) we weren't disappointed we had room 1544, near a lift, garden view, above the restaurant/ lobby bar, although couldn't hear or smell anything. FATMA ATA at the beach bar and breakfast is amazing, so helpful, kind, happy. We've been coming to Turkey for over 20 years and stayed in plenty of 5*. Melas resort hotel, needs to be reviewed by jet 2 as it's better than a number of there current 5*s! There are more Germans here than English, but that makes it lovely, we didn't use the entertainment (own personal choice) although we did sit at the pool bar a few nights when their was live band, it seemed to be the same songs and slow, but we wanted a relaxed, chilled holiday so not bothered. Big shout out to FATMA ATA, ZEKI ÖZMEL(clever!), ABDULLAH, YUNUS EMRE DERIN they made the holiday. The captain is a out and happy to help were needed and talk to guests which is lovely. The only person we found that wasn't approachable was one of the service managers in the restaurant at evening meal, he comes in with his bit of paper telling staff, not helping them, he's not personable and is very abrupt.Can't wait to be back next year

We stayed in this hotel with my daughter for 10 days. We already visited Turkey at least 6 times, but I can say this hotel was truly the best one. The thing we loved the most was the main restaurant - wide range of food, very delicious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I also visited spa massages and I would like to thank miss Rosa for her professionalism. The massages really helped me feel good, it was the best experience. I felt like a new person. My boyfriend and I had the most amazing time at Melas Resort Hotel! We got a garden view room which was lovely and spacious. The housekeeping staff did a great job at keeping it clean and tidy. The main restaurant served a wide range of food, you never get bored! You can book one a la carte restaurant during your stay, we picked the Turkish one which was so tasty and romantic. There are several bars on site with a wide range of cocktails and other beverages. There is a private beach and a pool. Both were nice and had plenty of free beds. The beach was our favourite, and there were fridges on the beach with cold water in. The nighttime entertainment was good - they have an amphitheatre for shows and a stage by the pool with live music every night. Some of it was in German but we didn’t mind that. What really made our stay amazing was the staff! Some could speak good English, and even those who could speak less English were lovely to us. Everyone we came across was very friendly but we give special mentions to Ezgi (restaurant), Abdullah (restaurant), Hussaynn (pool bar) and Yasin (beach bar). We miss you all, especially Ezgi who brightened up our mornings! :) I would absolutely recommend this hotel to everyone, you will not regret it.

Very good hotel nothing is to much trouble for the staff food is very good and beach right there would go back any time as was so nice to chill in the sun with a nice drink and be in a nice hotel clean and safe with shops just out side and taxis or a bus stop
