The Lonsdale Hotel

The hotel is a beautiful bed and breakfast. In a quiet area of Blackpool. Extremely clean with lovely furnishings. The hosts are lovely. Very Very friendly. I love coming to this hotel and seeing the owners. We are already booked in for next year.

Simply one of the best hotels in Blackpool. Convenient location, sublime rooms and hosts whom know how to make you feel at home. As Mary Poppins would say ‘Practically perfect in every way!’. Thanks Stephen and Karl for yet another great stay at your hotel, see you both 2024!

Just perfect . The Lonsdale is a beautiful little B&B and not like anywhere we have stayed before . The personal touches to everything add to its charm . Run by the two sweetest gentlemen I have ever had the pleasure to meet, our whole weekend was as I said just perfect . Thankyou xxx

What a fantastic place to stay. Went with friends. The attention to detail in all the rooms was second second to none.. Beautiful furniture, pictures and ornaments. spotlessly clean, fantastic service. Brilliant breakfast. Would highly recommend a stay here.

At last we can stay in Blackpool without feeling that the accomodation could have been better. Tastefully furnished hotel in an acceptable old fashioned way, comfortabe room, scrupiously clean. Secure car parking. Straightforward English breakfast cooked to order and served at table. The owners made us feel welcomed. Good location within walking distance of the beach and the town centre. We shall use the Lonsdale again.

Occasionally I write a review if I feel something is really worth the effort and in this case it most certainly is. I have stayed in many hotels both for business and pleasure with family. Usually the hotels range from okay to pleasant or acceptable but most lean towards the corporate bland minimalist style which let`s face it can be a little boring. The Lonsdale in Blackpool is the exact opposite! It is full of character and style as indeed are the owners Stephen and Karl. My wife and I recently stayed in the Edwardian suite and loved it. Actually, from the moment I rang to book the room I sensed that this was going to be good but was not aware just how good it was. Our room or should I say rooms were like living in a real home; comfortable armchairs, warm décor and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in, and I am a little fussy about pillows and beds so believe me it was extremely comfortable. Tea, fresh milk and a coffee machine in the room along with home baked biscuits. At breakfast we were offered fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals etc. along with a lovely full English breakfast and all the fresh coffee you desired and all this at an extremely good price. The location of this hotel is ideal, a short walk to the sea front which you can see from the balcony (side view) which itself has a table and chairs to relax on if the weather is sunny. The hotel is well placed for all the major attractions and is within easy walking distance of the theatres and the Tower. With all this on your doorstep you could be forgiven for thinking it might be a bit noisy but you would be wrong, we stayed three peaceful nights and could have been in the middle of nowhere. There was little or no noise at all, absolutely perfect. The Lonsdale is a peaceful haven. Stephen and Karl could not have been more helpful, they clearly love what they do (as they have been there for 34 years) and it shows in their attention to detail and the spotless cleanliness everywhere. Finally, I am willing to bet most who read this will not have experienced (as we hadn’t up to now) on checking out the owner treated us to wonderful classical piece on his stunningly beautiful grand piano. I am not saying he does this every time, but I showed an interest in the piano and he asked if we would like to hear it. This hotel is one where memories and friendships are made, go on and try it, I think you may just love it.

Amazing place with amazing hosts.Karl and Stephen could not be more welcoming.The rooms are all beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean.Breakfast is of the highest quality.Having found this place we would never stay anywhere else if we were visiting Blackpool.I give it ten out of ten and would like to give it more.

Exceeded our expectations and will be returning because of this ,steve and Karl were the perfect hosts ,they parked our car in there secure parking and transported our luggage to our room .Breakfast was amazing (karl) and Steve made the effort every day with his dapper suit to serve it .I honestly say that this b and b is the best I have have ever stayed in clean friendly and ideal location just 10 min walk north of the tower .
