The Fossil Tree Hotel

Stayed here with my daughter, for a couple of days midweek. Warmly welcomed by Chris, when we arrived. We did plan on asking to drop our luggage but our room was ready and we got in early. Chris carried our luggage upstairs. We stayed in the Maple room which was lovely. The bed was so comfy, as were the two chairs. The room had a kettle, tea/coffee etc. We looked out on to the street but we did have a side view of the sea. It was very quiet at night, no noise issues. The Fossil Tree is on the main tram/bus line, so very convenient. The lounge/ dining area of the hotel is lovely and does have sea views. Breakfast was fabulous, good choice and table service. There is an honesty bar, we didn't use as we were just ready for bed after our fun filled days & evenings in Blackpool. However, we did look at the price list and we were pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced it was and there was a good selection too. Both Chris & Christine were extremely nice and it was clear they wanted their guests to enjoy themselves and made sure we had what we needed. Wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel and if we do come back to Blackpool, this would definitely be our first choice.

A lovely welcome from the owner Chris. Our room was beautiful. The views from the window were brilliant, with the added pleasure of the lights at night. Even though on a busy road, it was still quiet, allowing us a good nights sleep, in a comfortable four poster bed. Breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. There was off road parking for our car. Just a short walk down the road, there were lots of places to eat. We chose the Bispham kitchen. Lots of lovely food to choose from. The fossil tree is certainly a place to stay and we will definitely book again.

Another lovely weekend at the Fossil Tree with amazing hosts Chris and Christine. From the moment you arrive a very warm welcome awaits . Our room as ever was spotless clean tea coffee kettle hairdryer in the room plenty coat hangers in wardrobe and a comfortable warm inviting bed too. Our breakfast in the morning just as impressive as ever everything table service brought to you all home cooked chosen from the menu as well as a choice of cereals juice tea and coffee. This is our 3rd stay at the Fossil Tree and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Blackpool . Thank to our incredible hosts once again

A brilliant hotel. Stayed 5 times this year. Rooms are excellent, clean and very comfortable. Drinks making facilities are available. The beds are extremely comfortable. Breakfasts are excellent with a good choice of food. The owners are welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Convenient tram stops outside the hotel which makes getting about very easy. Brilliant sea views.

We enjoyed a three night stay at this hotel in October 2023. The hotel was immaculate and our room extremely comfortable with a superb view over the promenade, tramway and out to sea. The owners Chris and Christine were only too pleased to help with direction to places of interest and where to eat. The breakfast menu was extensive and the food excellent. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a stay away from the hustle and bustle of central Blackpool. We will certainly be back during 2024. Brian and Linda

My wife and I have just stayed at The Fossil Tree for 3 nights. Could not fault our stay at all. Would highly recommend. We had a warm and friendly welcome and the room was perfect. Beautiful views of the sea, very convenient for the trams. Great service at breakfast. Can't wait to return.

Great Location away from the hustle and bustle of the centre but only 10 minutes away by tram to the "action"! Good breakfast nice comfortable rooms and friendly hosts, would recommend a stay. Bispham with several good restaurants is only a 15 minutes walk away.

Just returned from a lovely 2 night stay at the Fossil tree, both host very friendly and welcoming. The room was immaculate with great sea views and breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Would have no problem recommending and staying again. Thanks for a lovely break and hopefully see you next year.

A 5 star stay ,quiet , very clean ,handy for all the attractions in the area with the tram right outside but far enough away if you want a quiet break ,parking included and a great breakfast included ,highly recommended and will return next time we are in Blackpool

We stayed at The Fossil Tree Hotel from 18th - 21st September when we visited Blackpool, as our daughter and her partner recommended it to us after staying there in 2019. From the minute we arrived we were really impressed with everything. The location is ideal. On the promenade, within a short drive or tram ride from all the main attractions this is an ideal place to stay. The tram stop is just across the road and a bus stop around 40 yards from the hotel. Easy marked out parking bays and parking was free for our stay there. Our room (Spruce Room 2), located on the first floor was extremely clean and comfortable with a lovely comfortable bed, nice clean linen and pillows. We had a spotless shower room and toilet en-suite and there were tea/coffee making facilities in the room as well as a tv, plenty of room for clothes etc, in fact a lovely room overall. Chris carried our suitcase upstairs for us and throughout our short stay could not do enough for the guests in the hotel. Both he and his wife Christine are superb hosts and it is clear to see why this hotel has won so many awards. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Being an adults only hotel it was lovely and quiet at night and the breakfasts are outstanding with a nice choice of Continental or Full English beautifully cooked each morning . All in all we would HIGHLY recommend staying at The Fossil Tree. We could not fault anything about the place or the owners and we would definitely stay there again if we returned for a visit to Blackpool. Ken and Pauline
