Doric Hotel

I stayed for the past week and had to comment on the service of the staff, 2 In particular being Louise and dawn, they were absolutely excellent, extremely accommodating and very polite. The whole week they made sure me and my family were looked after - Charles

The Doric is a nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, it is clean, in a good location and the food was quite good. We were booked in for a two night stay on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, with tram stops just across the road we thought we would have a great weekend despite the weather. However, we decided to go home a day early due to no sleep (see below) and generally because of Blackpool itself. Our room was on the 4th floor on a corner of the building and it was very windy outside so not much chance of sleep due to the howling wind, which is obviously not the hotels fault. The other reason we didn't sleep was the extremely uncomfortable bed, the mattress had definitely seen better days. We did consider asking to change rooms but there was no guarantee that the bed would be any better, although a different room would possibly have been quieter! I have memories of Blackpool when I was much younger and I was looking forward to a nostalgic visit, however, Blackpool is very different now. It seemed that every other building is boarded up, the attractions are very expensive and there isn't really much to do unless you have children. There is a lot of scaffolding up so effort is being made to improve the town, we wish them luck with it but will not be returning.

Excellent hotel allways have great time every year we go. Louise and Dawn make the restaurang homely and welcoming. Overall job excellent. Nice spacious and spotless. Excellent entertainment at night. The hotel has 2 liftd for the elderly traveller

Just like to say have been to the hotel today with a friend for afternoon tea( yes it is available for non residents ) as live nearby and have to say it was excellent and very good for the price. Would definitely recommed worth a visit.Well looked after by Stuart who was friendly, professional and also supplied refil of pot of tea when needed.

First visit to the Doric . Long weekend with friends. Amazing hotel with extremely helpful welcoming staff . Dawn and her team in the restaurant were very accommodating, and there was nothing too much trouble . The quality of food was tasty and varied . Hotel very clean . Will recommend to family and friends . Thankyou Doric .

3rd Time At The Doric Hotel And Not The Last. Lovely Hotel Rooms Are Nice Clean And Very Spacious. Staff Are Amazing Nothing Is To Much Bother For Them Bar Staff Were Helpful And Courteous At All Times. Now The Best Bit The Restaurant Breakfast Was Excellent Plenty Of Choice. The Evening Was Even Better The Waiting On Staff Were Amazing And Very Helpful At All Times A Big Shout Out to LOUISE Who Runs The Restaurant Like Clock Work Also Dawn Who Was Equally Amazing Thank You To All The Amazing And Friendly Staff Defiantly Recommend

The Doric never let's me down. Always a warm welcome from the moment of arrival to departure. Lovely clean rooms and housekeeping service. The friendliest and most obliging restaurant staff run efficiently by Louise the restaurant manager( always with s smile no matter how busy). Great bar area, with helpful friendly bar staff alongside a most welcoming lounge area with a lovely facia / outlook to the Irish sea... Fabulous evening entertainment also..what more can I add?? Have not used either indoor or the outdoor pools but will do so on my next return( not far on the horizon):both clean and well maintained... It's a hidden gem this hotel..and I'm looking forward to my next couple of stays there. Thanks Doric as I am never dissapointed.😀👍

Stayed 2 nights.. staff all friendly and welcoming down to earth people. Rooms clean nicely decorated as is main lobby n dining area, however not all of hotel caught up in this, some parts still very dated such as corridor’s and pool spa area .. handy with tram stop outside and prices reasonable with lots of offers food was nice . Entertainment is classic and fun. Overall it meets its 3* status prob 3*+ I had a lovely time and being solo female felt safe and hardly noticed I was on own. I will return with a friend in summer to check out the outdoor pool and a more busy time of year.

Right what can I say about this hotel when I was a little girl my grandma and family took us to this hotel all the time Throughout the years till I was like 14 years old then I started going away with my friend to place and we Decided to stay here as I Recommended it on Arriving to the hotel there was no parking outside and I had to paid 7 pound across from the hotel in a pub car park which was ok for the night Then Entering the hotel which looks lovely and Freshly painted . The staff are friendly and helpful but did not Expect to buy a Deposit of 50 pounds For any damages but you do get it back on Check out The bedroom are a good sized Their facilities you get in the room are good . Swimming pool it's just as I Remember it the bar it's good price and food looks delicious did not try as was going out But Overall would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a fab time and good Entertainment
