Side Alegria Hotel & Spa

A really unpleasant stay. We arrived to a very badly made bed with no sheets or duvet. Took an hour to sort out with reception, they eventually sent two single duvets for a double bed. The duvets were handed to me at my room door and I had to put the duvets in the covers and make the bed myself at 12:30am. Food is repetitive, boring, and was usually cold. Sunday night, Monday lunch, and Monday dinner was a choice of meatballs, pasta, or grilled fish. All three were basically cold, so were chips and the cooked breads. For thee days running eggs were cooked and left to go cold. Sausages, grilled tomato, and scrambled egg were all the same and very cold on each day. There is a huge choice if you want salad, but anything cooked is incredibly poor. Poor choice, and cold. The hotel is sold as being adult only, it is not, and for 3 or our 5 night stay lots of children were also there and were running around the bar area until it closed at 11:00pm. I assumed it was a school trip but when I asked I was told that wasn't the case, and was just families staying. The bar staff are abrupt if not rude. Several times I was at the bar on my own but staff only came out when another guest or two arrived and on several occasions served German guests first. This could mean waiting for 10 to 15 minutes to be served (even though I was first at the bar) as it was always the German guests that took priority even if they arrived at the bar after English or American guests. The hotel staff speak good German but not very good English. Even when I spoke to them in Turkish they regularly replied in German- even though I am English. There is satellite TV in the rooms. but note that all but a few channels broadcast in German. a few in Turkish, and BBC World News in the only one in English. The hotel is clean, mostly. And it does have quite good Wifi. and a reasonably comfortable bed in our room at least.

Came here for last bit of winter sun on arrival staff in reception unable to speak English was told to sit and wait for room. Once in room which have to say is clean and Aircon worked we un packed only to find they hadn't returned passports so had to go get them we also had to pay €10 for another key as you only get 1. Now let's talk about the food if you like eating slops you will feel at home here the waiting staff are polite at the restaurant but at the bar the english get ignored they don't clear your table the serve others at hotel but miss us even though we are best tippers. Now activities you have to pay for everything their is no volleyball as shown the entertainment staff very friendly. Beach is very close and you can get food and drink their which is nice and plenty of sun loungers for everyone. If you are German Russian Polish you get treated well if you are English they have no time for you I would not recommend to anyone. Put it this way in the UK this hotel would be 2☆

Just returned from Hotel Side Alegria & Spa and would rate this hotel 2 out 5. Positives: -Near Antique Side centre (small buses running every 10 mins outside the hotel for 1 euro ) -Plenty of shopping opportunities just outside the hotel (mainly fake clothing), -Good daily room cleaning by friendly cleaner Negatives: Unfriendly staff at reception and towel change - Restaurant: Small with long queues Often difficult to find a table at dinner time Food average, good choice of salads and cakes but main dishes same daily - Beach: Walk to beach from hotel is short (approx. 5 minutes) with no pavement but always busy with buses, parked cars, lots of street cats and garbage Very small beach area with sun loungers too close to each other (90% smokers) and by 10am, it is difficult to find a free sun bed In the morning the sea is calm and clean but during the day gets dirty with big waves due to boats and water sport directly next to swimming area This hotel is good for those who enjoy street shopping, noise, busy surrounding and like to smoke and drink. If you prefer quieter surrounding where you can chill and escape from noise, I definitely do not recommend this place!

Although we had a paid and confirmed reservation hotel did not let us check in. We think such facilities are breaking reputation of Turkey's tourism. While we are at the lobby, there were a lot of guest are complaining about rooms and service. But no body can find an authorized person.

A very hot and lovely holiday for me and my partner. The only issue we had was the Wi-Fi kept dropping in and out which was annoying when trying to call home to family. The entertainers Diyago and Nino were very welcoming and helpful and made our stay so much better. GREAT GUYS will definitely be back to see them both if they’re still there but for anyone else wishing to travel to Turkey this Hotel definitely make the effort to get to know them both. The hotel is nice, located next to the sea and super markets. Room was okay, service fast and good. Food was absolutely fabulous, the selection of cakes was amazing - strawberries, chocolate, peanut cakes, just name it :) If you go there, I truly recommend to go to spa and have massage and ask a Bali woman Desi, she has magic hands ;)

First of all this is an adult only hotel . It is also 49 % German and 49 % Russian occupied and the 2 % is brits ,French etc. I read some scathing reviews about this place but honestly me and my family enjoyed it and were british. The staff know very little so just point at what you want ....no problem. Alegria has its own location on the beach with a snack bar ( pasta ,burgers,chicken ,veg,fruit, beer,water.....and so on ) our room was air conditioned . This hotel is 50 mins from antalya Airport and 2 miles to side old town . I was pleasantly surprised by this place. You get a free towel for sunbathing on and if you want a new towel it costs 1 euro . To be honest you probably won't need to change it much ..if at all. A taxi to a from airport and hotel is around 40 euros unless you arrange a transfer

It was one my worst experience ever, I have been several times to Antalya and Alanya with friends and family. But this time I went with my family to side instead, we have chosen this hotel just because It was fair price and it was a five star hotel near the beach. What a disappointment, We have been deceived for what the hotel has to offer. I mean the food had no variety at all, the service and the management of the hotel was one of the worst part of the trip. It says that, it’s a hotel for adults only but trust me a lot of the guests are under age. The show and the animation team was horrible, they were silly and annoying and don’t have anything to offer. The room service and hygiene is the worst, I mean I don’t even know how the heck did this hotel get 5 stars. The only good thing about this hotel was, that it was 200 meters away from the beach and had good shopping bazaars around. But for me, I would never ever come back to this hotel anymore. I mean four stars hotel in alanya are better than this hotel.

Side Alegria Hotel I was in the hotel from 18.07 to 01.08.2022, 14 nights. The hotel has 5*, but the hotel has a real 3.5*. On the first day, I arrived at the hotel around 11 pm, and at the reception I found out that they did not have a free room and they told us that we would spend the first night in another 3* hotel. I refuse that, and after a discussion or even an argument, we get a room in this hotel. The receptionists speak very bad English. That evening I immediately asked to speak to the general manager and a "gentleman" came who said he was the general manager and was very uncultured and rude, he even started yelling at us. And it was all his fault and his impudence. His name is Bayram, later I find out that he is not the general manager at all, but Mr. Tumay Alver, who was shocked when I told him all the inconveniences I experienced in this hotel. The evening when I arrived and when all this happened, Bayram told me that tomorrow at 8:00 am we will get a room with a view of the sea. I came to the reception at 8 in the morning and asked if the room was ready, the answer was no. They told me to come at 10:30. When I came at 10:30 a.m., the room was of course still not ready and they told me to come at 12:00 p.m. Then I said that I don't want to wait any longer and the argument started again with Bayram who started shouting and was very rude, rude and rude. He said that I had paid for a standard room and that I would get it. Of course, that's what I wanted from the beginning, I didn't even want to be in an economy room in an annex building without air conditioning and internet. When I entered the standard room, I saw on the balcony that the rooms next to mine were empty, which means that they had free rooms in the hotel, but that they were doing some fraud, for what reason, I don't know. After that, when Bayram passed by us, he would only turn his head. He did not apologize for his behavior. At the hotel, I met several other guests who had a similar or the same situation as me. I don't know why Bayram is doing this, but it is very bad. The guests I befriended paid 2,500e for this hotel for two for 10 days, a room with a sea view, and the first night they slept in an economy room like me, only to be transferred to the room they paid for the next day. This was a very stressful situation, I came on vacation to relax, not to make out with someone. But well, I will never come to this hotel again, and I recommend you too, don't book this hotel! A few days before arrival I sent an email and asked if everything was OK with my reservation and I got a reply that everything was fine. In the economy room, the air conditioner did not work, the water heater sometimes worked and sometimes it didn't. The standard room was ok, everything worked, except for the remote from the air conditioner, so I turned the air conditioner on and off using the button on the air conditioner. Cleanliness in the hotel is good. The food was the same every day. The plates in the restaurant were often dirty. The waiters speak no or very poor English. I didn't like the hotel and I can't write anything nice because of the situation that happened to me on the first and second day, it spoiled my impression of this hotel, but I met some guests who said that everything was fine with them. A gentleman from Germany has been in this hotel more than 5 times and this year he came for 3 weeks, and he said he will never come again, that tells you everything. This is the only 5* hotel that charges a change of beach towels at 1e per towel. Finally, I want to thank Mr. Tumay Alver because he listened to me and apologized for all the inconveniences we experienced even though it was not his fault, but Bayram's, and as a sign of apology he gave us a massage in the spa center. Thank you Mr. Alver! Guests who are currently staying or just traveling to this hotel, please only ask for Mr. Alver if you have any problems.

Not really one to complain as me and my partner are pretty easy going when it comes to holidays.they stuck us in the annex building opposite the hotel (above the shops) ok with that as we only booked a cheap last minute deal and to be fair rooms pretty descent.cleaned daily so happy enough.private beach area bit of a trek but ok with that staff are friendly if you not German or Russian the staff in the hotel don’t really bother speaking to you getting you a drink at dinner we may as well have been Martians because no one would have noticed 😂.food is absoultley awful!!!!! Edible as long as you don’t mind eating exactly the same stuff for 7 days.it actaully feels like a choir to eat something.like your eating it so you don’t get hunger pain’s.it’s edible but you soon get sick of it after 4 days.lunch dinner breakfast are all exactly the same crap day after day.granted most all inclusive are samey but this is a whole new level.to be honest im not too botherd because it was a cheap last minuet deal but if I had paid top dollar to stay here I would have been really disappointed.if your thinking of staying in Antalya look for a different hotel.better still go to marmaris or ouldenize beautiful places in turkey and very difficult here as every thing is German or Russian oriantated wich is fair enough but you may struggle if your British.any way winge over better luck next year 😂😂
